If you want a really good falafel sandwich, the best place to go to is Pita Inn. The staff is always friendly! And no matter how busy it gets, they have a good attitude and get the order correct b I ordered the sandwich, french fries and a small container of their garlic sauce. I took it to go. The sandwich comes with 3 falafels, lettuce and I top it off with their red spicy sauce and garlic. Every bite had a nice kick of spice and the garlic is creamy and has a not too overwhelming. The pita is good but just warmed, I'd love it if it was grilled or slightly fried over a flat top. The Falafel had a slight crispy and tenderness to it. Overall, I really love this place. And next time, I'll try the Impossible Kefta.

Starting with the sides: hummus, baba ghanouj, sliced pita bread, and fattoush salad. All were equally delicious, with the stars being the baba ghanouj and the fattoush salad. There was also a great selection of proteins and main stars of the meal: falafel, beef shish kabobs, chicken tender, and kefta kabos. I tried a bit of everything and it was all SO GOOD! The meats were seasoned beautifully and were tender, the falafel wer crisp and flavorful, and all the sides were refreshing and delightful. I was definitely surprised at how good the meal experience was, as I tend to be quite picky when it comes to West Asian/Mid-Eastern food. Overall, Pita Inn was an EXCELLENT spot to cater from! There was a great variety of food and everything was DELICIOUS!

In a strip mall, yet comfortable cushioned seating inside and plenty of it. You can get a choice of appetizers such as falafel balls, hummus, or loaded fries. Then they have a wide variety of mediterranean wraps or pita sandwiches - both meat and vegetarian. There are a few choices of salads - all made fresh. Finally, there are entrees of all types. I tried the veggie platter and got falafel, hummus, baba ghannouj, and salad along with pita bread. There's even a shawarma bowl. For drinks, there's a machine with all sorts of choices. The food was filling; in fact - we all had to take about 10-20% of our dinners home with us!

What I found was a $40 dollar value meal for $20. I've eaten at this Pita Lita Mediteranean Grill before & @ this Palatine location on multiple occasions..Pita Pita has multiple locations. Their food is very good both my wife & I ordered the mixed meat signature plate for $19 a piece. This dish comes w/a very good variety of meats like chicken & beef shawarma, grilled chicken, grilled beef & beef kifta along with/a Mediterranean salad, yellow rice & 4 - 1/2 pocket pitas perfect for making a pita sandwich. We took the 1/2 pita & put a variety of chicken, beef, salad & yellow rice & topped it w/tahini sauce & hot sauce. This made an excellent pita pocket sandwich. The mixed meat platter makes for an excellent meal w/generous sized portions & excellently seasoned meal. In fact we had left overs so I will have lunch tomorrow. The Groupon made a good meal even better because we were able to order 2 excellent meals for $20. PPMG has multiple locations all over Chicagoland. This one was in Palatine off of Dundee & 53. I've also eaten @ the Rolling Ghetto & Lombard locations. I see they also have locations in Des Plaines, Chicago (closer to me), Skokie, 200 W Randolph (no parking). Good solid Mediterranean food & made even better by Groupon

Rivaj Mix Veg Platter - 1/5…read more We started with the Rivaj Mix Veg Platter which is supposed to be an assortment of samosa, veggie pakoras and aloo tiki but it was 2 aloo tikis, ONE samosa, and the rest was a pile of pakora. These are supposed to be shared with others so imagine our faces when we had to split the samosa. Good thing no one else joined us. The pakoras were really greasy and largely batter as well. Definitely not worth $11.99. Palak Paneer - 4/5 The Palak Paneer was pretty good. The flavor and texture were well balanced and we requested regular spice level which was right what we were hoping for. There was a little oil but nothing overwhelming. Priced at $13.99 I believe to be reasonable. Goat Madras - 3.5 or 4/5 The flavor of the goat was great, no game flavor to worry about. The spices were also excellent and we requested extra spicy which didn't disappoint. It didn't have a lot of bones but maybe just a little much. No fat but there was some oil. I've come to expect it from Indian food assuming it's from the ghee but if that's something you tend to not tolerate then just be aware going in. Priced at $15.99, not too bad. Khurmi Naan - 4.5/5 I love naan and wanted to try a different variety. This one is stuffed with garlic, tomatoes and chilies for $4.99. Be sure to give this a go, but with so many options to choose from you'll need multiple visits. Mango Lassi - 5/5 What can I say, it took serious self control to not finish this lassi before the main dishes were served. Smooth with an equal balance of mango and spices it was so refreshing. For $4.99 you can't beat it when it comes to cutting through these savory dishes. Service - 5/5 The waitress was kind and helpful. She double checked our order and we had no issues. She confirmed they are under new management so if you've been here in the past you may need to give things a try again.

The palak and mutter paneers were very tasty and just the right texture for the paneer. The garlic naan was a big hit- kids ate all of it and left us very little (almost naan! :)). I really liked karam podi - chicken is juicy and the chasews give it a nice variety of texture, but it's a bit on the spicier side. The chicken tikka masala was a little different than I'm used to - it had bell peppers, but I'm not sure if that's their own rendition or if I just haven't had it the right way this whole time. Spiciness level has been inconsistent in the past, which makes it challenging when you want it mild for the kids but may vary. I'll definitely be back either way!

To clear things up about their dining area, they have 2 small tables outside and 1 small and 2 big tables inside. Small tables - 2 chairs. Big tables - 4 chairs. On weekdays, you don't need to make a reservation. On the weekends due to their limited dine in area, I would recommend a reservation to be safe. You can make a reservation through Google/Yelp or phone call. Parking is easy since it's in a strip mall. There is also a 3% charge if you use plastic. Just a note, I tried looking at their food pictures on their website, but it kind of runs slow. Sometimes it would freeze. I think they need to fix it. I would return here to try other items. I would highly recommend ordering off their Malaysian menu instead of the miscellaneous. Don't order orange chicken or General Tao's chicken. Very cringe because you can get that literally anywhere. Get the Malaysian food because it's hard to find in Illinois. The owner is very sweet and the service is attentive. We ordered lor bak, nasi lemak, Hainanese chicken rice, hokkien mee, and kuih talam. Just a FYI, the portions are very generous. For 2 people, I would recommend ordering 2 dishes. Prices are reasonable for what you get. A pot of tea is $6. -lor bak 5 - I highly recommend this appetizer. It has crispy pork sausage with shrimp fritters, beancurd, and cucumber. It comes with two sauces. Everything was delicious. -nasi lemak 5 - I love the chicken rendang. The meat is very tender and it has a deep flavor. You can taste the spices that went into it. -Hainanese chicken rice 3.5 - I gave Penang Malaysian Cuisine a 4 because the rice was delicious. HD's version, the rice was not as moist and flavorful. The chicken was not bad, it's about the same as Penang's. It could be a bit more succulent without the sauces. -hokkien mee 4 - this won't be as tasty as in Malaysia. I liked the big pieces of shrimp, an adequate amount of sliced pork and hard boiled egg. The broth is still very good. If it's your first time having this, I still recommend it. -kuih talam 5 - I would suggest this if you like pandan. It's not sweet. It has a soft and bouncy texture.
