Sooo glad I have a tasty Indian restaurant near me! Found Tandoor Grill on UberEats and the delivery time wasn't to bad especially because i live kinda far from the physical location. We ordered the curry chicken, tikki masala and Papadum. The tikka masala was amazing; the flavor was so good and rich. The same for the Curry Chicken; the meat was tender. I also enjoyed the papadum. We ate at their old location for years prior to COVID 19, and they did an excellent job across the board including a very lovely ambience. Unfortunately, they moved to a new location. Deciding to try them again we walked in took a look around and promptly walked out. The ambience was so bad we did not care to try their food again. read more

I was completely disgusted to see roaches crawling on the wall. The bathroom was also filthy. The food used to be good, but lately it's been overly salted and just not the same. I went here a few weeks ago great tasting dishes. I had the tandoori wings, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. You have to request the spice level to get exactly what you want hope this helps. They make great garlic naan as well. I recommend this place whenever you have an urge to eat Indian food that tastes good. The dining area is well decorated and they play nice music during the day no complaints. I went for lunch and it wasn't crowded not sure how busy it gets for dinner. I would like to try more things on the menu next time and maybe even dessert if I have room after my meal. read more

Our dinners here were so much better than we expected. Everything was seasoned & cooked perfectly, the interior design & attention to detail (chairs, cups, wood carvings on the wall, ornate ceilings & lighting fixtures, etc.) reminded us of the palaces of "maharajahs" we visited when in India a few years ago, and the gentleman serving us (he told us he is originally from Goa & was a super friendly guy) made us feel really welcome. I've been hearing about this place for a little bit now, and since I work in the area I decided to give it a try. The interior decor is super nice, it is a bit small so I'm not sure how packed out it gets on the weekends or not, but it seems to be the only legit Indian restaurant in the area. So we finally decided to come here, man the service the dishes everything was absolutely great. We got the mixed grill as an appetizer to start and ordered chicken tikka masala and shrimp curry which is in a coconut sauce as our entrees, of course we got naan to accompany our dishes. The food was absolutely amazing. The flavor was intense, the spice level was perfect. This is a great place to come have Indian food, I highly recommend this place and I would love to go back to try more items off their menu. Superb job to this fantastic restaurant. read more

My go-to indian spot since it's so close to where I live. I order takeout from here often since coming across the spot and decided to dine-in for the first time a couple of days ago. Inside is pretty small but the decor is nice. To start with I always get the vegetables samosas bc they taste like heaven. The sauces that they come with compliment the flavors so well. I came here with my sister and a friend and we decided to get a bunch of dishes to share. Chicken tiki masala is a must bc why not. We also got the chicken vindaloo which I really enjoy and might be my new go-to dish but It is spicy so if you're not a fan of spice, I wouldn't opt for this one. We also got the saag paneer which is another fave of mine. 100% recommend the garlic naan! Overall I enjoyed the dining experience but bc it's so small, I may just opt for continuing takeout. read more

Only took a quarantine for me to finally try this place! I've seen it passing by and noticed pretty good reviews on Yelp. Of course, we got delivery through grubhub. The delivery came about 20 minutes earlier than estimated, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything was accounted for, well packaged, and piping hot. I got the chicken korma with a bread basket to share. Wow. Yum. The flavor was delicious. It tasted very fresh, bold but creamy, and just always left you wanting more. They included plenty of rice, which was cooked perfectly. The naan bread you ask? Warm, flavorful, and left me wanting more. I do believe the bread basket came with different types, I want to say there were about 8 half slices (like half of a 10inch pizza size). In spite of the fact that I couldnt stop stuffing my face, I still had a very generous half left for my lunch the next day. And I gotta say, it was even better the next day. My roommates echoed this sentiment, tandoor grill has now been added on our local take quarantine list. Definitely my new favorite local indian food spot! read more

The food here is really great, very tasty and of quality. Went there last night and got the tandoor wings, samosas, chicken vindaloo, and curry chicken, plus garlic naan of course. The wings were SO good, the meat was super tender and juicy- they had a nice char to them, plus a mild spiciness that went really well. Chicken vindaloo was also the perfect amount of spicy and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The naan was very flavorful, we had to get another order to take home and eat with our leftovers the next day. The service was great, attentive without being overwhelming. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Long Beach and there are a lot of great restaurants here. Rich depth of flavors, rice always perfect and naan that I could eat for days. My go to is usually a salmon tikka masala which hits the spot anytime. But their saag, vindaloo and plain curries are also delicious. My boyfriend and I often order takeout from here and I've dined in a few times. It's a treat for us and we're always counting down the minutes for our delivery to arrive.
