Went to Jerk Kingz for lunch. The space was clean, colorful tile table tops. Freezer well stocked with healthy juices. There is a couple of parking spaces out front but street parking is easy to find. The lady behind the counter was friendly. The parking lot is a huge pain! Very small. So I would park across the street in the lot and walk over. It's very nice and cozy inside. A few tables, and a big menu to order from. The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. It might have been the time I went or maybe it was an off day, but they were out of a lot of things. BUT! I ended up getting a spicy chicken patty on coco bread (they were out of beef patties and spicy cheese) . Which was fresh, and delicious! I will be back! Visited Jerk Kingz recently. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and accommodating by making suggestions. I was informed that they were opened for 7 months. The space was clean and with some unique decor highlighting some reggae stars on the table design. There are places to dine in but it is not a large space. I settled on the stew chicken with rice and peas. Although the stew was savory and delicious, I found it to be on the saltier side. Other than that , it was fine. I've been here a few times. Being from a Bajan family and married to a Jamaican woman, I've come to appreciate good jerk. We both agree that the jerk chicken is tasty, well seasoned and prepared and we've ordered that each time and it hasn't disappointed us yet. The jerk salmon is a different story. My wife ordered it and was not happy. She said it was baked salmon topped with jerk onions and peppers. And when she's dissatisfied with her food she tends to not eat it. I'm not a salmon fan so that was $25 down the drain. We haven't ordered it since so who knows if they've improved the preparation. The baked Mac & Cheese was good not great. It had good ingredients and was well prepared, it just wasn't adequately seasoned, in my opinion. I'd recommend ordering ahead of time if you're able to as they seem to make most of their menu to order. If you don't, be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes at least. The space itself is very clean, neat and modern. I'm pulling for this Black owned business, but it has a few areas it could improve on. read more

I was excited to try this place when I first saw the sign up. It's so close to my house it's about time. I went on 7/22 around 4. I ordered stew chicken w/ rice and peas, oxtail with white rice & beef Pattie's. I wanted to try their Rasta pasta but they were out. They open at 10am! Guess I have to come back at an early time. I thought all the food was good. I just didn't like two things .. 1. The oxtail again good but they were skimp with it. My plate looked halfway eating. Idk if that's the normal amount they usually give but If it is then it's not even worth it. 2. The beef patties were ehhh I enjoy them more from Jamaican flavors on grand. Overall I will be back! Positive review. I arrived at approximately 1120am. I was warmly greeted by the staff. Location ambience was cozy, neat and clean. The menu had plenty of options, and reasonably price. I ordered take out two dishes, one med jerk chicken rice and peas, and one med curry chicken and cabbage. The portions were plenty. The dishes were seasoned nicely, and taste freshly made. I will be back for lunch again and recommend friends and family to do the same. read more

when I first patronized this establishment last year the food was amazing. I went back yesterday and I'm hoping it was just a bad day for the cook, maybe that person had other things on their mind. but, the oxtails had a burnt taste, the jerk chicken was dry, the Mac and cheese made me feel like it was made from cheese wiz and the Black Forest and red velvet cakes has a very bad greasy feel to them that left greasy residue on my lips. I will give this restaurant one more shot before I call it a wrap. read more

Was excited to try this new location. As soon as I walked in there were two women at the counter who look like they did not wish to be there, POOR customer service. I should've left then but took a chance. I proceeded to asked for the lunch special at 1:45 and was told there was no lunch special. I requested a dessert from the menu, they said someone is making it at this time, be ready in about 15 minutes. You should not post items that you don't have currently available. I then proceeded to place an order in which one of the women took the plate to the back and took several minutes to prepare so I was hoping it was good. Went to work, began to eat my jerk pork, it was horrible. I certainly will not be returning, and shared this information with my colleagues. You don't deserve the one star however, this is the only way I can leave a review. read more

WHY? Just change your name. You don't even have a Jerkpan or Grill. Then you serve jerk chicken prepared the night prior in some nasty gravy. The food is disgusting! The worst I've ever had. And for the price, a waste of money. Nice place though, thats about it read more
