I ordered my food mild. What I received was extremely spicy. I called the restaurant and asked if they could remake the food, they refused.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time so I was happy when the wife and I went here for dinner on a Saturday night. The ambience is very attractive, with decorations from India and very attractive wall coverings. The restaurant is spacious and clean. There is ample parking since the restaurant is in a small shopping center. We were seated and our waitress asked if we wanted anything to drink. They do not serve alcohol so I asked where their lemonade came from and the answer was "from the machine." Classic answer. We started with chicken momos, which are basically dumplings. They were excellent, with distinct curry, ginger, and garlic in the chicken mixture. The sauce in particular was extremely flavorful. We ordered mild and it was perfect. Not too spicy but still flavorful. For entrees, I ordered the butter chicken and it was very good. I think I like chicken tikka masala a bit more but this was very good. The chicken was tender and the sauce was good although I probably could have asked for a higher spice level. The wife had lamb balti. She liked it but said that some lamb pieces were not very tender and she thought the sauce was overly salty. I tried the sauce and thought it was just the combination of spices. We ordered the butter naan bread and it was very good. Crispy on the outside and chewy inside. It was perfect for dipping in sauce or using to make mini-sandwiches. Service was accommodating and helpful. I definitely want to return and try other things on the menu. read more

It's a lot of food and it's yummy. However, I'm on the hunt for the BEST and I don't think this is it. The curry is good, BUT very thick and can be difficult to eat large amounts (not sure if that's tradition or not just personal preference). I was in town visiting a dear friend to help her plan her wedding and she recommended we order delivery from this place as she loves it and she knows I enjoy Indian food. It was a perfect fit for an easy Friday night dinner after a long day of travel! I'm not sure if this restaurant offers delivery or if she just used DoorDash. And given that it was delivery, I can't speak to the atmosphere (the chandelier looks beautiful in photos though!) or the service, though I will say our order was correct and delivered quickly! To accommodate all the bridesmaids and family members present, we got two orders of butter chicken, two orders of chicken tikka masala, one chicken josh, and one lamb rogan josh, with butter naan to share. About 6 cartons of rice came with our order. Everything we got was solid! I tasted everything except the lamb -- not a huge fan of lamb. Portions were comparable to other Indian restaurants I've had carryout from in the past. Only one dish - the tikka masala - had even a hint of spice to it, even though I'm pretty sure my friend ordered everything at medium heat. Who knows, though, she might've asked for mild just to ensure everyone was comfortable. I did think the butter naan was a little on the dry side, but nothing a soak in some sauce couldn't fix. Overall, I liked the tikka masala the best, then the chicken josh, then the butter chicken. Butter chicken was a little on the sweet side for me. Flavors here were definitely flaming. Word to the wise, spice level here is definitely as it states. Hot was definitely hot and I usually can handle level 5 Thai hot. This is probably only my third time trying Indian food. I was not really impressed before or maybe my palate has changed as I matured, but I enjoyed my meal this go round. I liked dipping the garlic naan in the flavorful buttered chicken and lamb curry. Didn't care too much for the roti, it was a little dry and wished it would have been more flaky. This is one of the best Indian restaurants in town. The service is excellent!!!!!! We came for new years dinner with my family and heard that they had many call-outs. The owners; one cooked the food and the other served us (I believe their names were Ama and Lucki). They were absolutely amazing. Despite their circumstances, they were attentive and so courteous! We were so impressed and the food was incredible! We got Chai tea which was delicious! The dishes look small but food we ordered was plenty for 4 people with big appetites. We ordered 1 spinach dish, chicken Josh, lamb biryani, 1 order of garlic Naan and 1 order of roti. We couldn't finish food but it was so so good. My favorite dish was the spinach dish and in it was cubed potatoes! Overall I had such an amazing experience and I cannot wait to come back and support this wonderful family and business. We've only had butter chicken that rivals this location's at two other places: Khan's of Kensington in London & Noori Fusion in Amsterdam. We've been craving the sweet flavor of this butter chicken for months if not years. The portions are consistent and prices are commensurate with the experience. I went to Tandoori Flame on last Wednesday. I ordered Goat Biryani; it was saggy, and the rice was clumped together. The cook might have put sauce over it, and the color of the rice was red. Their Biryani was not taste good. I went to numerous Indian and Pakistani restaurants, their Biryani were dry, slightly oily and has a yellowish color. Their Goat Curries have bones with less meat on it, and they charged me for $18 a piece. Overall, the biryani is not good, and other entrees are a little bit overpriced. This rating reflects service as the food here is definitely on point. Having frequented this location many times, it's been interesting to observe the service. It is different for folks from trying to remember your order, to writing it on a pad, to using an electronic device. Our server wrote things down but also managed to not get our appetizer out before our entree even though it was ordered 10-15 minutes before the entree which we ordered later. My biggest angst is cleanliness now. Our appetizer plates were left on our table Un-used (for the most part as we didn't get the apps till after dinner) as were some pieces of silverware. Of course we touched them to remove them from the napkin and set on the side. Those appetizer plates and the "unused " pieces of silverware from the table were put back into their pile of appetizer plates and silverware they use to bring out to folks. This is not sanitary nor acceptable. If dishware and silverware are on someone's table, used or not, it needs to be washed because they have in the least been touched by your guests. read more
