I just picked up this order of honey chipoltle shrimp tacos. Come on do you call this brown mess on top "fresh avocado"? The last 3 times now getting this dish over the past 6 months quality is decreasing. What gives?

After being exposed to all that is Fish City through a Yelp event some weeks ago,I decided it was good enough for a return visit. This trip I sampled: Blackened Texas Redfish over Orzo- very good although, small portions Crab Cake- subtle soft interior and crunchy exterior. Enjoyable Calamari - I usually don't do calamari. But,this was a nice crunchy and tender preparation that I really liked. Key Lime Pie- Average Overall it's apparent that Fish City is doing a balancing act of delivering a satisfying seafood experience while keeping prices low and making a profit. Tough assignment these days however,Fish City seems to be making it happen. I would definitely return.

Came here for an event and came back because the food is that good! They have a patio (always great for those nice days) however this time we sat inside. We arrived during happy hour and I can't stress to you enough . . . Partake in it!!! I got crawfish (that comes with taters & corn) along with a dozen of the chargrilled oysters. Don't get me wrong, the crawfish was good but the oysters is where it's at. I washed it down with a cold beer and was full as a tick when I left. If you are looking for some good food don't miss out of this place!

Really enjoyed my fish and chips and the kind customer service here at Fish City Grill. It was our first time visiting so they brought out a sampler of their delicious soups to try along with the oyster nachos. Wow! Fried oysters here are delicious!! Tons of vibrant flavors and everything tasted fresh fresh fresh. I also tried the gumbo and was thoroughly impressed. Amazing customer service as well. I tried the smoked marshmallow espresso martini and it was a bit too sweet for me. I'd try it again sans marshmallow. :)

Enjoyed an early dinner on the semi enclosed patio. The grilled snapper special was nice but needed a little salt which they provide on each table along with hot sauce etc.

Andouille & grilled chicken over red beans & rice

It was an easy choice for lunch on a bright Sunday afternoon because of the location. I chose the grilled chicken and andouille over red beans and rice. In the future I may ask for the chicken to be blackened to add another layer of flavor. Not a bad choice. The chicken was pale and not spicy (for sensitive eaters) so I doused with red hot sauce. The andouille sausage had a good sear and flavor. Fish city grill has a well rounded menu and can't wait to try the other entrees.

This place never disappoints. My family has gone here for years and both food and service is consistently excellent. Today I stopped in for lunch after a particularly stressful work thing and sat on the patio by myself with a glass of wine and their super food salmon salad. So friggin' good. Things I've had before and will continue to get: their hush puppies, oyster nachos, and seraphina fish tacos. They have rotating weekly specials and a pretty awesome happy hour too, their house wine for $6/glass is really good.

    Garlic Caper Grilled Salmon

First off, if Misty's your waitress ...listen to her. The woman knows her seafood like Poseidon himself gave her a part-time job. She steered me toward the Garlic Caper Grilled Salmon, and while I wasn't expecting fireworks, it definitely delivered a well-seasoned, satisfying experience. Moist, garlicky, with capers bringing that salty sass... I'd give it a solid 7/10. Not life-changing, but definitely life-improving. Misty's service? 10/10. Seriously, promote her, give her a crown, name a fish dish after her...whatever it takes to keep her around.

We like the variety of dishes each time we visit and the ability to sit inside or enjoy the patio when the weather is mild. Another favorite is their full bar and the different drinks we can enjoy with our meal. This visit I went with the shrimp tacos. I was impressed with the ratio of shrimp in the tacos compared to the other ingredients. The three Tacos were plenty with the rice and beans as my meal. My husband had the trout. The flavor of the fish was good but the size of the filets were thin and left him wanting more (I let him have one of my tacos). Our server was friendly and attentive.

Sooo good . Sockeye salmon. We love all of their fish dishes and appetizers.

Could the crab cake dinner or the salmon cake dinner always be on the menu please? Those are my favorites.

We love them both too! The crab cake is always on the menu and we would be happy to accommodate you and make it into a dinner with sides anytime! Just ask your server.

The highlight of the night was easily our server, truly one of the best I've ever had. Friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. If the review were based on service alone, it would be five stars. We started with the chicken nachos, which were fresh and actually pretty good. For entrees, we ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Unfortunately, the chicken fried steak was very bland and tasted like it was missing seasoning altogether. The sides were okay, but nothing memorable. We also tried the rib plate with corn and mashed potatoes. Again, it was edible, but the flavors just didn't pop, everything felt like it needed more seasoning or a stronger profile to stand out. The staff was great across the board, but the food just didn't match the level of service. Not the worst experience, but definitely not the best food wise.

First up, the pirogies--holy moly, these little pockets of joy were just unreal. Perfectly soft, stuffed to the brim, and fried up just right. I'm pretty sure if my tasted these, she'd give a polite nod and say, "Not bad, eh?" Then came the pot roast poutine, and let me tell ya--this isn't just food, it's a life experience. You've got those crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds (as they should be, eh!), and gravy so rich it could probably pay rent in Toronto. And then--BAM--tender pot roast on top. I nearly stood up and sang "O Canada," no joke. Now the Canadian Eggs Benedict? Ohhh, beauty. The peameal bacon was thick, juicy, and cooked just right, sittin' pretty under those poached eggs with hollandaise sauce that was smoother than a fresh sheet of ice. Absolute perfection, eh. And don't even get me started on the everyday breakfast. Classic, hearty, and no funny business--just how we like it. Eggs done right, toast that actually tastes like toast (imagine that!), and portions big enough to fuel ya through a full day of shovelin' snow... or, you know, strolling around Dallas. All in all, Maple Leaf Diner absolutely crushed it. Let me tell ya, the service was so fast and smooth, I thought I was dreaming eh. Great food, friendly vibes, and enough Canadian charm to make ya wanna say "sorry" when someone else bumps into you. 10/10, would recommend--now pass the syrup, eh?

It's a cool restaurant that has a lot of seating, and cool decor with Guitars displayed on the wall and a small stage for performers. We walked up to where you order. It was counter service and the guy that took our order was laid back. We paid, he gave us a number and then we chose a place to sit and waited for our food. We ordered several items to share. We started off with a charcuterie board that had meats, cheeses, nuts, fruit, and toasted bread. It was really good. The bread was able to hold the ingredients and was nice and crispy but not overly crispy. The meats were good and the different cheeses were flavorful with different textures. The fruit was fresh and the nuts were a nice crunchy addition. Very yummy start. We also shared the Tejas Nachos with Brisket. The Nachos come with tortilla chips covered in cheese, queso, jalapenos, tomatoes, and crema. They were okay. The Brisket was plentiful. There was a lot of cheese and queso spread out all over the nachos. It was a little too much. The chips got soggier the closer you got to the bottom of the pile. Our last shared item was the ZZ Top BBQ Flatbread. It was okay. It came with an overabundance of cheese. It also came with jalapenos, BBQ sauce, and we ordered it with Chicken. It was okay. The cheese was gooey but overwhelming. The jalapenos added a spicy flavor and the BBQ sauce was tasty. Overall the restaurant has a cool atmosphere with good service. The counter service, ordering and paying process was quick and easy. Everytime someone brought our food to us they were friendly. The food was okay and literally very cheesy.
