Came here for a shopping visit while at National Harbor. This is one of the newest Tanger Outlets in the area. They basically the same stores in each location (Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Gap, Bath and Body Works, Nike, Fossil, etc.) which is okay, but this is the closest location to the Baltimore area, so that is a plus. We went to the customer service office to get a free coupon booklet as we had a AAA card which was nice. The office also had an ATM machine, stroller rental, and offered other concierge services. There was also security in and around the outlet, which was great to see. The outlet's layout was manageable with the outside stores located under a type of awning that would be great in rainy weather and also allow the sun to shine through. There were various locations throughout that had areas to sit and relax. They also had eateries to purchase snacks and plenty of restrooms as well, which were clean. All and all a perfect place to shop and stroll close to Baltimore. read more

Cole Haan Shoes: I had an issue with a pair of shoes being mixed match in sizes. It was the smoothest transaction I've ever encountered. D'Asia and Portia were absolutely the best associates. I've been told about these outlets but I've never been until recently! I'm more of an online shopper at this point in my life but I heard they had a Tommy bahama and I like the sweatshirts so while in the area on business one day I took a detour to the outlets. It's your typical outdoor outlet. I'm not sure when this became cool but I miss the comfort of some good old walls and hallways in the winter months. I found a few stores that had great things I had been looking for and the prices were spot on and reasonable so I will come back in the future. read more

This is an outdoor shopping outlet/mall. They do have some overhangs to block out sun and rain, but there are large sections that are completely open. I love that it is outside, it doesn't seem like a stuffy crowded, chaotic mall. There is one large restroom area that can be accessed from two sides of the mall (it connects in the middle). The restrooms are extremely clean and modern. I love the diversity of high end stores such as Michael Kors mixed in with little shops like Yankee Candle. They also have Nike, Under Armor, Polo, Aerie and much more. read more

Small outlet mall located in National Harbor. The location is perfect for those visiting National Harbor because the drive is less than five minutes away from all of the other shops, hotels and sights. They have a nice variety of stores, however not as many as typical Tanger Outlets. I ended up purchasing a pair of sneakers, but did not feel compelled to go in a ton of other stores. Solid shopping center visit, if in the area, however with the DMV having such amazing shopping, I wouldn't necessarily make a special journey to Tanger Outlets at National Harbor, MD. read more

Get place to shop for people who are out of town. There are so many places to shop. They also have different places to eat, drink and rest.

Pleased with this outlet. We stayed at the National Harbor Resort nearby and as a guest you are able to take a shuttle to the outlets or the nearby MGM casino. A conference colleague and I decided to take the shuttle to the outlets to check out the stores. Although the outlets were small, there were several stores worth checking out. Noteworthy is the Yankee Candle outlet where I purchased a bunch of candles for the house. The problem was how to get the candles home since they were heavy and glass containers. Luckily, the sales associated was able to pack the candles with a lot of paper and she was very friendly during the encounter. There were other noteworthy stores to check out and the outlet is not crowded. Great deals and a place to check out if you're visiting the area. read more

My wife and I stopped after a weekend getaway to St Michaels and were expecting to find some deals but left without buying anything. The stores are situated outside and patrons walk exposed to the weather with some overhead cover at times. It was a rainy weekend when we stopped so we spent time dodging the rain while shopping. There didn't seem to be many people but also didn't seem to be much parking available. I'd likely go somewhere else in the future. read more

Customer Service, and the lack thereof, can create a lasting impression for Customers. I like this Tanger location. Plenty of parking,, excellent selection of stores, and the layout is easy to navigate. However, the recent experience at their Levi's Outlet in the Tanger National Harbor was very unfortunate, particularly where it involved two employees. We approached the Dressing Room area, where there were two employees there. One of the employees, a male, it appeared was "working" the Dressing Room area. He was standing there at said nothing as we were standing there. There was an opportunity for this person to not only acknowledge our presence, but to let us know "what's what". Yet...nothing. Another employee, a Woman, was folding clothes. Now, to paint a picture, this area is small, not a vast larger space. Again, neither employee acknowledged Us. When the male was asked a question by Us, in our opinion, he presented this aura of truly not wanting to be bothered. Interestingly enough, another Customer walks up & was immediately acknowledged by the Woman employee - this person was greeted, asked what they needed & given direction. There are many questions that can be asked here ,however, the bottom line is this was not acceptable, at all. When speaking to a Customer that is telling their displeasure in the service, or lack thereof, this is not the time for giving excuses, weak ones at that. I hope this reaches Management & they...reempathize the importance of providing a level of Customer Service that Tanger & Levi's expects. Additionally, I hope no one else encounters these two employees they way we did. read more

I like this location. Everyone told me they don't have as many stores as other outlets, which is partially true; however there is a nice variety and selection. I came here to do Christmas/birthday shopping and was pleasantly surprised. I came during the weekday (like a Tuesday during the day) and it was great. Had a lot of nice bargains and was able to get in and out of the stores. I thought this outlet was very nice and had a great selection. Unfortunately we came here on a very rainy day so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could've been but it was still nice. Some of the stores here are much nicer than to other outlets I've been to. Probably due to the location, most of the other outlets I've been to are in the middle of nowhere. That being said, everything seemed a little bit more expensive. I bought two jackets in Michael Kors for $280. While still a good deal, I've been to outlets before and spent under $100 for possibly nicer items. Either way, they had great inventory. We took the free shuttle from the Gaylord to the Tanger Outlet. I am from out of town and was very impressed. The mall is very well laid out (especially compared to our local Tanger Outlet) with great variety of stores, clean restrooms and friendly staff in the stores we visited. The weather was perfect and it was nice that there was plenty of seating to stop and have a seat. Also loved that the fountains are all pink for breast cancer awareness month. read more

This spot is a great place for a deal. It never lets me down and I always find great sales. It's right at national harbor so it is conveniently located. I don't think I have ever gone and there wasn't a sale going on so either I have great timing or they always have deals. My favorite stores are Kate Spade, banana republic, Gap, White House Black Market. Im a deal person and hate to pay full price so I love a good outlet. This is a pretty good outlet. read more

This merchant posts a return policy that shows items can be returned for store credit yet prints receipts that says all sales final in direct violation of Maryland law. When we showed them their sign showing we can return, they said they didn't know how and to call their customer service. When we protested they called security so we called the police. All we wanted to do was get their highest discount and when they run it up it was just short so we actually wanted to buy more and these incompetent employees raised a ruckus. Never shop here! Here's the kicker they told me it illegal to take a picture of their posted return policy. read more

Bottom: An easily navigable layout, a variety of stores and a clean shopping center. Overall, I like the Tanger Outlets in National Harbor. The outlet center is clean and it is nice that portions of it are covered to shade guests from the Maryland sun or keep them out of the rain. The layout of the center makes it easy to set out on course and be sure you don't miss any stores along the way. The bathrooms are designed well including big stalls with a nice cubby to place shopping bags and such. Yes, they have family bathrooms too complete with a place for nursing mothers. My favorite stores here are Banana Republic, J Crew and Cole Haan where as my SO is into Brooks Brothers and Under Armor. If the outlet center had Lucky Jeans and Vineyard Vines I think we would both like it a little more. Also, I wish there were more food options. You can get snacks at Starbucks or Auntie Anne's or sit down for a meal at Johnny Rockets but that is about it. Overall, we had a nice visit here but for me living in Annapolis, the Queenstown Outlets are more convenient for roughly the same stores. read more

I went here with my family on a whim. We were supposed to go to the gym, but somehow ended up shopping instead (wearing gym clothes) on a late afternoon. Go figure. Anyways, we were only able to go to select few shops as it was already late, like 8ish. We found great deals in Nike's (a couple of pairs), clothes from Gap and Banana Republic, and left Michael Kors with a couple of shopping bags. However, the Coach shop is disappointing. They only have old models. I have recently been to the Coach outlet in Las Vegas (4 months ago) and bought a bag, and I wanted to buy the same one for my sister. I couldn't find it so I asked for assistance. They said they didn't have that "latest model," but I bought that 4 months ago. Oh well. But we were happy with our other purchases. The four of us had Starbucks, and Aunti Anne's. However, the Auntie Anne's didn't have my favorite Jalapeno cheese pretzel hotdog. :( Oh, and we never made it to the gym. Lol. read more

It's right next door to the growing National Harbor and offers every store you can imagine from J Crew to Gap to Banana Republic. the last time i was here, in summer of 2013, this outlet had not yet been built. fast forward to winter 2017, national harbor has increased in # of constructions projects, and things for visitors to see and do. located about a mile away from the cluster of hotels and downtown national harbor, these outlets offer many of the stores that i've come to expect from a good outlet mall. for me, i stopped in at gap, banana republic, asics, nike, columbia sportswear, under armour, bath & body works, and the cosmetics company store. they also have a starbucks, an ice cream shoppe (yes, even when it was barely 10 degrees F outside), and an old-school diner. i really wish they had a proper food court, or a few more restaurants/cafes, but perhaps that's something to consider for the future. there's tons of parking circumferencing the stores, the trick is to remember what store you parked near! when i was done, i had to walk around a bit to recall where i had parked! nice addition to national harbor, and a good place to kill time for 2-3 hours. note that this shopping center is 100% outdoors, so dress accordingly when you visit. read more

Umm, I don't know how not to give this mall 5*. The only thing I could possibly dock it for would be a lack of food options. There is a Starbucks. It would be nice to have a place where you can get a healthy salad and/or soup...I digress. Yup, National Harbor proper is a few minutes away and has glorious full-service food options. Wow. The stores are quality. I don't like most outlet malls, because the stores are trash and sell messed up, 4th quality merch. At least they did in 2003. I think most (smart) companies realized that people caught onto this and the gig was up.... Anyway, really???!!!! Stores like Theory, Elie Tahari, Brooks Bros., Le Creuset.... Nice outlets! I'm a big time outlet shopper, and am quite familiar with the Tanger brand. This set up is really nice and makes a lot of stores feel less spread out and chaotic, without being just a row of shops. It is kept very clean. I am surprised it isn't busier considering it's location, but that's nice for the shopper. I like the selection of stores, but I feel like many of them are not as well stocked or as high-end considering what I would assume the typical clientele would be for the DC area. read more

I LOVE the stores. I HATE the location. I grew up in this community and these outlets have caused way too much commotion. The parking lot is not large enough. Well, at least you can actually park at the outlets. It's definitely a better piece of infrastructure than the actual National Harbor (albeit still not very transit-accessible). The outdoor mall and its roofs, seating, and amenities were fairly impressive, and it isn't too hard to drive to. The retailers are fine. Of course, brick and mortar stores are a shrinking niche, but there are times when you need something fast or need to try something on before you buy it, and there were some decent options here to be had. We've never really had an outlet mall near the District that I recall, and this one doesn't really match up with what you might find in say, sales-tax-free Delaware, but I can see it having its uses. I really enjoy these outlets! There is a large selection and it is never super busy when I go. It is open and outdoor which is nice (except in the winter). Parking is never a problem. The only issue is that there really isn't any food around in the area. It seems that they have more food trucks now then they used to but there is still only like 3 options. read more

Meh! I'm not a fan on outlet shopping malls. I never se to find anything worth buying so I may come off as biased. This Outlet has stores like Nike, Polo, Steve Madden, and various others. I must say this is the first outlet I have ever seen a H&M in. It's good for walking around and I saw some food trucks here as well. My sister and niece got snow cones/ snow balls from one of the trucks and said the treats were really good. I will have to go back and see if my opinion changes. This outlet has so much potential to be better! The parking is horrendous on weekends! Friday-saturday you won't find parking. They should have built a parking garage. Eat before you come there is one place to eat in the entire outlet and that's Johnny rockets expensive for ok food. On the weekends however their are food trucks open at the entrance in the side. Not the best DMV trucks super expensive for what you get! As far as the eating situation goes you can leave and eat at the MGM or the harbor but good luck trying to get back and find another parking space. The security is a joke. People are stealing all the time from stores here. Smoking weed in their cars in the parking lot. With the PG county Police department helping! Their are some good stores to shop at like Hugo boss,Tumi, Yankee candle, Harry & David, Movado. Etc. Overtime I hope things will get better. read more

Prince George's County deserved to get an outlet like Tanger Outlets. Way past due. But I am so glad it's here. Great deals to be had. Great variety of stores. Good place for a walk, a coffee, and an easy walk , bike ride or shuttle down to the National Harbor. Make sure to slow down and take a look at some of the historical items that they have around. This would be 5 stars if there was some food stores. Starbucks and aunt Annie's has it locked down. But again, you could always just take a walk down to the National Harbor will your find plenty food. You know, now that I think about it...walking down here in the evening with the music in the background is actually kind of romantic. Keep up the strong police presence.
