Matthew Sharp is an absolute artist and he is very knowledgeable. I've had pixie cuts most of my life. Over the last three years he has helped me with the grow out process which also includes two extension sets. He always knows exactly what I'm wanting and perfects it. I hadn't found a stylist I loved in 4 years then I came across him and I won't let anyone else touch my hair! I highly recommend him. This salon is very professional and has consistent well trained staff. I've been going about 3 years for hilights and the stylist turnover seems very low. The best deal for hilight is to get partial or 'part and perimeter'. These save a lot of money over getting full if you are okay with the amount. I've had stylists elsewhere botch my lowlights by getting a reddish tone. Lauren has never had an 'oops' moment on my 10+ hilights. Always consistently natural looking and good and they don't just wash out. Like I said, they are very professional. When you make an appointment, you can do it online or by calling a chain-wide operator. They are very polite. Also, when you arrive for an appointment, I am usually offered tea, water, coffee. I have been going to Chyna for the past year for my all-over blonde and I couldn't be happier! I'm so glad I found her! She has been able to lift my dirty blonde/brunette hair to the perfect blonde I was looking for. Without damaging it, either. She has artfully mixed in lowlights so my hair has dimension and movement. My husband has even noticed since I've started seeing Chyna. He said my hair has never looked more beautiful! (And he doesn't notice things like that!) Chyna is terrific at toning the blonde and keeping the brass at bay. My hair always feels soft and well cared for. 05/20/16 - UPDATED REVIEW Aubrey has been in touch with me and has arranged for a refund for my hair disaster as well as a free appointment with one of their most skilled and senior stylists, who at least cleaned it up into something that doesn't look like two different haircuts. I am very satisfied with how this situation was handled and have made an appointment to return in six weeks. ________________________________________________________________________ Wow, it pains me to write this. Normally I see Sara, but as she is moving, I thought I would try a different stylist. I called and requested a same-day appointment and I was paired with Noelle. I assumed all Tangerine Salon hairdressers were of similar skill level. She was put together, friendly and professional and I had no misgivings about her. I showed her two pictures of the haircut I wanted (A version of a stacked, layered bob), even pointing out that it was similar to her own. I emphasized that I need volume at the crown and the length to be similar to the picture shown. Throughout the appointment, when she would ask how I liked this or that, I would state "As long as there is volume I am happy". Somehow instead of a nice, stacked and layered bob, I have what I can only describe as a "reverse mullet". I have a pixie cut in the back...so short I can hardly get my fingers in it. It sticks straight out no matter what I do. The front vaguely resembles the picture I showed her, but the whole thing looks like one stylist did the back, another the front. I seriously want to cry every time I look in the mirror. This is just....horrible. So so horrible. I am literally embarrassed to go out in public with this haircut. It will take me two to three years to grow back all that she did. It really is a reverse mullet. It makes me wonder if she personally didn't like me or something. I stopped her a few moments after she started cutting, alarmed at how big of chunks were coming off...fix, six inch pieces. She asked to see the picture again and we discussed how I wanted the hair to look....again. I was surprised she didn't examine it more closely before starting, but what I have always gotten from Sara has been so exceptional, I just assumed Noelle knew what she was doing. Big mistake! I could not see what she was doing in back of course, but she assured me it would look like the picture when it was done. At one point she was struggling with a tendril over my left ear. I should have known in that moment when she asked if I wanted it to stay or go, making it "more bob-like" if it stayed, or just go to a pixie cut. I was confused, told her I didn't think my jawline could support a pixie cut and that I didn't like my hair that short.... but still trusting she knew what she was doing. I emphasized I needed volume and to be able to tuck things behind my ears. I can tuck it...but I kid you not, this is a different cut in front than in the back. It is like she spaced completely what I asked her to do for the back of my head and bumbled the front....I cannot get anything like the lift I am used to getting in my hair. Not even with the Aveda products I have at home. She styled it and curled it and it looked okay from what I could see, just too flat. I assumed I would just need to play with it myself when I got home. However......as I was pulling into my driveway when I got home I realized she NEVER TURNED ME AROUND TO SEE THE BACK. The appointment had taken an hour and a half by then, which was long for a simple haircut and I needed to get home and simply spaced asking her to see it. She kept asking me if I wanted my natural hairline or the bottom shaved....I figured it must just be close at the bottom but nicely stacked up from there....but now I was panicked, realizing i had not seen it and feeling how short it felt just touching it. I raced inside .... looked at the back and was stunned. I looked like a baby who had been left on its back too long! Completely flat. No graduation. No stack at all. The back of my hair is DESTROYED. At the crown the layers are so short that if I try to give them volume with mousse they create the look of my hair having been messed by a pillow or like I have cowlicks there. My scalp shows because the layers cannot curl down. They stick straight up or out. They are too short to give lift or volume there unless I want spiked hair. I don't. The fact that she purposefully didn't show me the back tells me she very much knew she screwed this up. I am at times on TV and filmed for the commercials for where I work. I am horrified and depressed. I have no idea what to do. I guess I can buy a wig if I have to. The sad thing is that there is no fixing this other than to cut it shorter, which is EXACTLY what I do not want. read more

Every time I've come to this salon, I am greeted immediately. I am offered a beverage while I wait for my hairstylist. There is free wifi for guests! I always go to Sarah Heng. She is at this salon on Mondays and at the Dallas one the rest of the time. I enjoy the scalp massages she gives me and how she asks specific questions about how I want to cut my hair. For a person who can't articulate exactly how I want my hair done, Sarah always seems to know exactly what I need. Whether it be a trim or taking 6 inches off. It was like going to the spa to get your hair done. coffee, tea, water, cushy chairs to wait for your appointment, very professional, sleek, and relaxing. You get a complementary service with your already scheduled hair appt (mini facial, shoulder and head massage, make-up touch-up, arms and hand massage, or their seasonal special) which is about a $40 service for FREE---and from what I understand, you get this on every visit. My lady, Sarah, counseled me on my hair, and taught me A LOT about different maintenance tips that no other stylist had ever told me before. She also was concerned about "where i was going" with my hair--we talked about how i envision it to look in a year and she worked with that information to decide what to do...awesome! Also, I wanted only a few highlights in the front and they have lots of options for a small fee--I got the "shine" which is about 5 foils and it was $15. The cut was spectacular! It cost $45 I think and there are different levels of stylists--but, honestly, the difference in price from the bottom to the top is a matter of just $20. Anyway, I'm def going back! A++! read more

Really nice salon! They offer you hot tea and other drinks when you come in, and offer complimentary facials, hand messages, etc. My hair was cut by Sofia, a protege, and she gave my hair new life! Lol. If your someone who doesn't usually go to the salon, it can seem kind of pricey, but I'm super cheap and thought it was beyond worth it. They really give you what's best for you! read more

Second time I left disappointed, Noel was very nice, but she didn't have any problem sending me out of the salon with stains that on my four head from the color she applied. could've done a better job coloring my own hair.
