I made a major change from balayage to all over color and cut bangs. My hair feels and looks incredibly healthy. The cut looked great even on my wash and wear day. I'm so glad I found my stylist on the first visit and even booked my follow up appointment for 8 weeks later before I left. Lisa has totally transformed my life! I left here looking like a totally different person! She has the ability to look at you & know what to do & what is good for you if you're unsure like I was. Not impressed. First time - I was here on a Sunday I tried calling them four times to let them know that there is some festival going on outside in the street and I cannot find parking. They did not pick my phone I was late and they did not take me in. The lady at front desk excused herself saying she didn't see the phone ring and she was here all the time . I still decided to try and use them by taking another appointment.I used the protege stylist for haircut who basically charge $40 for cut and style. So not impressed. First their usp is they give a facial or massage with any haircut. If it's not economical don't do it but it was literally a 1minute facial wait how is it possible to give a facial in a minute ??? Secondly the stylist told me that my hair has thinned from previous cut I was ok with her cutting my hair but told her that I want to make a ponytail and don't want hair over my eyes. So far this is the worst haircut I have received in my life. My hairstyle reminds me of wig fashion from 80's. The stylist was so new she could not even hold the hair dryer well. It will take me couple of months to grow back that hair. Another issue I experienced was hygiene related. There were hair already on the stylish brush and instead of cleaning the brush by removing hair and putting it in anti bacterial solution. The stylist just removed the brush and used it on my hair .. gross !! I will not go here even if they give me free multiple haircuts!!! I've been going here for about a year now and I can really say that this is the most professional salon I've seen. The place is super clean, trendy, and a great atmosphere to be in. The quality of the services are always top notch, which is why their prices are pretty high. Honestly when I come here I feel like I'm having a little spa day with the extra complimentary services they give you. If you can afford the services here at this salon then you should definitely come here. It's well worth it. I have been going to Sarah H. at Tangerine for the past 2 years and experienced consistently excellent service, atmosphere, and quality. Sarah always takes time to talk with me about what I want, what's working, what's not working, etc. The front desk staff is welcoming and friendly. Once you check in, they will walk you back to the restroom to put on a smock and also offer you something to drink. (The tea is wonderful!) Every appointment includes one of their complimentary add-on services, which makes it feel more like a spa experience than just a hair appointment. I usually get the neck & shoulder massage, which is AMAZING. I also love the rinsing/shampooing area. It's separated from the rest of the salon, and has a very relaxing, soothing vibe. At some point in my life, probably after three kids and 9 moves in 12 years, I have noticed considerable hair loss. Mostly on the sides of my head. I went in for my 2nd haircut with Bill and expressed that I needed to reevaluate my hair style. I had been wanting to grow it out long again but with it being less dense on the sides, it was looking odd. I told him I needed his honest opinion on a new hairstyle and was willing to wear it shorter. Bill is my hair doctor and I was ready to accept whatever he said I needed to do because he earned my trust when he fixed my hair from a bad cut during my last visit. He explained what he wanted to do, I gave him the nod and he went to work. I am so happy with my new style. This is my salon! I love love this place! It smells really yummy as soon as you walk in...kinda like peppermint. Your instantly greeted by the front desk girl(s) and you get to pick what free service you want with your appointment. Your then walked back to get a smock and then your seated in a nice comfy sitting area and asked if you want water, tea, etc. My girl is Noel and she is just the sweetest! Gave the stylist the exact Aveda colors that my previous stylist used and I liked and she said she would "warm it up a little" ... asked for brunette low lights ended up making me a red head! I am just floored by how good my experience was at Tangerine salon (in Allen) last week. I was getting my hair colored for the first time, to cover my first greys, as a birthday gift to myself. I had looked into a number of different coloring options, including Balayage, and was willing to splurge on something to help me have a natural look with the multi-toned brown/blonde hair that I have. Well, Bill took EXCELLENT care of me. He explained to me all the options and really listened to what I was hoping for. This led to me getting a color touch up on top, leaving my blondish ends without new color, which not only gave me the grey coverage AND multi-toned natural looking hair that I was looking for, but it was actually cheaper than what I had thought I might get! AMAZING! He matched my natural hair color perfectly. Thank you so much, Bill, for making my first coloring experience so top notch. I felt pampered and my hair looks fabulous. I will be back! (Updating this once I got home, it gets even better! I've noticed that with my hair in a ponytail, the new color has a slight auburn tint to it, which looks beautiful with my green eyes. I love the cut and color. She didn't try and push products on me but she did recommend them and tell me the benefits of each but wasn't overly pushy about them which is refreshing. this is my first time coming here and i have to say it was a 10/10 experience. everybody is very friendly and all give smiles which is super super appreciated, even other clients coming in gave smiles. for my cut though i had Mark. by far the BEST haircut i've ever had. he made sure he knew exactly what i wanted instead of just getting an idea and then doing whatever, which I've had before at other salons. not only that though, but he never tugged and pulled at my hair which i've also had done at other salons. he was gentle, caring, kind, and you could tell he is very trained and knows what he's doing/talking about. if you decide to come here don't hesitate to give him a try. i know i will for sure be coming back here and getting mark again! read more

I've had black hair for most of my life and decided to go for "a change" and she was referred from another client of hers. I walked in feeling really bad, no makeup, down because my best friend had moved to Wisconsin.
