Stopped there after busy day got takeout , when I got home my order was wrong , called spoke to a manager , she insisted I drive all the way back with meals right now , and quite a distance ,and while I was still speaking politely to her about the problem she hung up on me ! The home made spaghetti was the worst I've ever had .It was overcook all clumped together. Several balls of spaghetti. They forgot to bring our meatball with it and it took awhile to get it,the sauce was overloaded with oregano. My wife refused to eat hers and sent it back,I, like a fool tryed to eat mine, good Lord I wish I didn't, it left a horrible taste in my mouth for hours, the next day talking to a neighbor they told us they had the same experience, it was horrible read more

Ugh. Mediocre at best. Maybe it's because I'm relatively new to the area (living here for a bit over a year), but I am just not a fan of the way a lot of places around here make their sauce. It's more like a cheap spaghetti sauce than pizza sauce, with huge chunks of green peppers strewn throughout and a weird metallic taste. The cheese was decent, but the crust was thick and chewy in an average at best way. One thing to note is my family ordered a half sheet (square pizza about the size of a cookie sheet), so perhaps that has something to do with it. Another thing to note is that we ordered from the Boardman (Tangier Express) location. I have no comments on the employees--I wasn't the one who placed the order. Pizza is one of those things that everyone feels differently about, and I encourage you to give it a try, anyway, especially if you like Y-town style (Brier Hill?) pizza. read more

I would give this place .5 star if I could. I called in for a take out order of 15 wings and a chicken parm, they said the wait was going to be 45 minutes and the wing discount was dine in only. So we decided to just come and eat in instead. We arrived at 7:30, they were busy but not slammed. Knowing already what we wanted, we placed our order as soon as we sat down. The waitress brought our drinks and my salad and then we proceeded to sit and wait for over an hour and still never got our dinners. Two gentleman who arrived after us, ordered after us, somehow received their wings before ours. Forty-five minutes with no apologies, no explanations, no complimentary bread or something to tide us over, NOTHING besides a fly by "your food should be right up" from our waitress when she collected my salad plate. We waited another 20 minutes in which we never even saw our waitress and then eventually gave up and just walked out. I'm not sure if it's bad management, bad customer service or bad kitchen staff, but regardless of the reason, a customer should never be treated in this manner if you want to stay open. Tangiers is right up the street from us but I think they buy old beer because it has a very nasty taste to it I'm talking about the draft beer their food is so so, when la villa isn't is too packed then we'll might go there but honestly for me I would rather just stay at home and drink draft beer that tastes like crap read more

After the Slovak Festival where I left food less because I wasn't waiting in line for 30 minutes for a $6 cabbage roll, I saw a post on Facebook that you could get a real lamb gyros at Tangier. I've never had a real lamb gyros. Since we were only 5 miles away and I was starving we went. There weren't many people so we sat at the bar which was an awesome bar. A big old rectangular bar with TVs everywhere. It was so great to sit and have a tasty beverage after the festival. It was a good drink. I ordered my gyros and it was stuffed with lamb. My friend couldn't help but laugh because every bite was accompanied with a food moan. Man it was good. A real lamb gyros doesn't compare with the alleged lamb you get on your typical gyros. I live in Warren but I'd definitely make that drive again. I keep seeing the pizza commercials. If I ever find myself in the area during lunch or happy hour I'm going. They also have a nice outside patio that we checked out. There are signs pointed to a pool room downstairs but I was too lazy to check it out. By the time we were leaving people started rolling in. Unfortunately the food tables are in the bar area so this place is short on atmosphere but food is pretty good. I have been there at least a dozen times. The Brier Hill pizza is perfection in the 8" size because the crust is crunchier than the 12" size. Fridays have yummy a generous portion of potato pierogies ( not made there). The only food item I did not like was a strip steak dinner, the seasoning made it inedible for me. Prices for everything comparable or lower than other nearby restaurants. My family had heard good things about Tangier. So, we planned had plans in the area last week. We worked it out to stop for dinner before we had to be at our other event. We had ordered a pizza to go once and it was good. But this was our first dine in experience. It was TERRIBLE. At first it wasn't bad. The server was nice but he seemed fake. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, I noticed it sitting in the window. Our server was nowhere to be seen. So after it sat for another 5 minutes or so, someone else brought it to the table. It was lukewarm. My nephew and I had ordered steak dishes. I ordered mine medium he ordered medium rare. They were well done, it was like chewing on a tire it was so tough. Because of how long the wait was and due to the fact that the server didn't check back, we didn't have time to have it replaced. We pointed it out to the server and that was it. No apology. No offer to fix it. Nothing. He brought us our bills (I was on one with my son and my mom and nephew were on another). I checked the bill and it looked ok. He charged me for an extra drink but it wasn't a big deal. By this point we were already running late and it was o my a few $ so I let it go. Then, he brings me my credit card skip to sign (along with a pen that was leaking everywhere). I look at my slip and he had run my card for $25 more than he should have. I caught it and he said he must have "hit the wrong button". He went to fix it and I went to was the ink off of my hands. He cancelled that transaction and ran my card for the correct amount. So, after a few days when the wrong charge fell off of my bank account, I was billed correctly. But through all of this, I called to inform them of my experience. I spoke with one manager and he said to me, "was it the short guy? We've been having issues with people adding extra tips". The owner was to call me back. After 2 days I was still waiting so I called back. The next morning, I got a TEXT from the owner with pictures of my moms check telling me that I was billed correctly. He then ignored my call and never replied to my texts explaining that was the wrong person and our terrible experience. So I called the restaurant again. And spoke with a different mgr. who argues with me telling me it is impossible to add extra tips (unaware that the first mgr told me they had been having issues with that). Eventually he offered to send me a $10 gift card. The owner had YET to address my concern. This whole issue was shady and handled very unprofessionally. This was our first experience with Tangier and most likely be our last!!!! UPDATE: We are still waiting for the gift card that was being mailed "in the morning" to arrive. read more
