I ordered pick up for my husband and I's weekly jeopardy night and was quite frankly underwhelmed... the food was decent but the staff was inconsiderate and agressive to say the least. The owner seemed on edge and was loud and angry towards his workers. we ordered one chicken parm and one veal parm and we're told it would only be 20 minutes. after 50 minutes of waiting we finally got our order and it was cold. Again, TWO salads. I asked for some type of compensation for my time and was denied because they were "busy." No one is too busy to make two salads without taking an hour and ten minutes. On Saturday, we made our first trip to PaPa GeGe's. It was beyond excellent. The food is AMAZJNG. I especially loved the marinara and the imported angel hair. We had veal, and it was so tender, that you could cut it with just a fork. We will be back this week to try something different. This pains me to write this. Have been a loyal customer for years. The food is some of the best in town. However, the service is horrible. It's not the staff. They do their best. But they are severely understaffed. You should not have to wait an hour for your order. The same person taking orders, ringing out customers, cleaning tables, and serving food. Does not work. This place has much more than pizza. Stopped into this place because I had to be in town for a family event. Considered pizza, given the name, but the menu was extensive. I ordered the cavatelli dinner with a meatball. And I got also a nice side salad, enough cavarelli for two people, two meatballs and garlic knots. And not just garlic knots, but warm, garlicky, cheesy fresh garlic knots. I ended up also getting a couple of pepperoni rolls to go. I loved my dinner and have lunch for today as well. My first time at an Italian Village, and honestly I would be fine if I never visited one again. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and just continue to have the good thoughts in my head of what I imagined it to be, or what friends and family bragged about. Maybe it's just this location, but this first Impression made it bad for all other locations, in my opinion! First off, I called to place a take out order and was immediately placed on hold. This was a Thursday at 6:14pm. I didn't think they would be that busy on a Thursday, but apparently they were. I found this out because they told me my order would be ready for pick up in 25 minutes, and 1 hour and 2 minutes later it was finally ready to be bagged and sent out the door with me. The woman at the counter said right after my order they got swamped. I can understand that but over an hour for a take out order?? I could see if it was delivery, and that time included driving to my house! But, my reason for the second star is because of the friendliness of the employees. But that's where the goodness stopped. When we got home and opened the food, I began to inspect everything to verify it was what I ordered, and I couldn't help but notice everything was cold, and looked like it was sitting for a while before it was bagged up. The slice of pizza looked dried out, my pepperoni rolls were overcooked, my pasta and banana peppers were cold as ice, my garlic knots were burnt, and my salad was wilted and had huge pieces of Iceberg lettuce. The salad dressing container was also less than half full. For $40 this was not worth it at all!! I could have went to Wendy's across the street, and thoroughly enjoyed a spicy chicken sandwich, add onion meal, small with a sprite. But instead, I chose to waste $40 and still be hungry afterwards. I just don't understand how everything was cold and overcooked, when it was supposedly just made. We got it three times and it was overdone and lacking cheese. Coccas, Wedgewood or Westgate are all better, more flavorful pizza. Also "meh" was the baked ziti, which lacked flavor and ricotta. Chicken parm sandwich is hit or miss, sometimes grisley and mistakenly sent with buffalo sauce. Now to the good stuff. Cheese fries are the best ever...even 5 miles away delivery. Decent food, terrible service. I ordered online around 6:20, showed up at 6:50 and was told it would be a few more minutes. 7:15 I finally got my food. No apology. No explanation. I also overheard one employee telling another to make up an excuse to a customer on the phone who had been waiting over an hour for a delivery remake that they messed up the first time. Hadn't had it in a while and was craving some Italian Village!! When I got home, my fettuccine Alfredo looked good, however it was flavorless. No garlic taste, no cheese flavor just bland pasta in cream. The usually tasty garlic knots were hard a rock. I swear they change the pasta dish container sizes every time I order Togo( always smaller and smaller). One thing I will say is the house Italian salad dressing is always amazing. I came back for another visit. This time, I chose the rigatoni and meatball dinner. It came with a generous sized salad and three garlic bread knots. Everything was delicious! We sat down and ordered a 12-in Sicilian. In the meantime, the lady took an order and left the customers on hold too long so the owner, the guy with white curly hair, slams the phone down in front of everyone like a hothead. We get our pizza and it is burnt, but hothead owner says it's how he eats it and it's ok, so we take it home and end up eating the middle out of it. We go back a few weeks later and order the same thing, 12-in Sicilian; They mistakenly make us a 16-in sheet pizza which looks like a greasy, cheesy nightmare that nobody could eat outside of a college dorm. I say this isn't what we want, and they say jokingly that we will have enough for leftovers. I call my wife and she calls back and says she doesn't want this, and we want our small pizza like we ordered. The girl apologizes and offers to make a new one. My wife calls back to set up the time, and the hothead owner gets on and says that the big pizza is the same as the little one and we should be happy. My wife explains how there is a difference in the grease and cheese of a small pizza and a giant sheet pizza; the hothead owner argues about us costing him ingredients but eventually decides to make another. We get there and the owner is not present, but the new pizza is and it's so greasy that it melted a hole through the box on the way home like a wet paper towel (picture). Plenty of other pizza places in town without the grease and anger. Seems to be a trend reading the other negative reviews on Facebook. read more

When called about the whereabouts the manager/owner wasn't so nice. But stated the driver should be here any minute. 10 mins later we called back & he was very rude, then hung up on mid conversation. Once we received the food, it was TERRIBLE. The sandwiches were soggy, semi cold. The zucchini fries & cheese fries were cold along with the Stromboli & Eggplant Parm. Not to mention the zucchini fries were so burnt it's as if the zucchini dried up & it was just burnt breadcrumbs. Spent a little over $60 & $5.99 of it was eatable. Extremely disappointed, can't believe the ignorance & it NEVER has taken that long. Mind you I've ordered on a very busy day prior. My husband and I were looking for a local Pizza place and stumbled upon this place. I know this area loves their Brier Hill, Pizza "sheets" and thicker pan crust...but us being east coast natives, we missed NYC style. This place does not disssapoint! My kiddos love it too! Quality sauce, cheese and other toppings. The steak and cheese pizza can get a liiiitle salty but it is still very good if you are looking for something with meat. We've also had the garlic knots, calzones and strombolis all very good! We have ordered from Italian village many times and we usually enjoy the food. It can be inconsistent at times. However, the last time we ordered was on a week day at 145. They said 20 minutes and it wasn't ready when we arrived. They took the credit card and said they would be right out with it. Well, they brought back the card but no food. Another 20 minutes later asked why it wasn't ready and some guy in jeans came out and yelled at us saying we need to calm down and wait. At this point it was 240, so we just asked for a refund since we couldn't wait any longer and he said there was no way we were getting a refund. Seriously? They charged us for a pizza we never got. Upon arriving back at the office - found all three pizzas were burnt on the bottom and dry on the top. Called them and was told NOTHING could be done, because no one in authority was in, took my information and was promised a call back - I followed up for four days and received again NOTHING for the fact that the pizza was not able to be eaten. Didn't feel like they were much about quality control and maybe more about quantity.
