We are new to Boardman but Uptown Pizza has quickly grown to the top of my list as our new favorite pizza place. We ordered two pizza's both large, one with cheese and one with cheese & pepperoni. The Pizza's were amazing. The people are very friendly & it seems to be a very popular place with the locals. I have to give a shoutout to their staff for their handling & caring of a older lady who came into Uptown Pizza lost & upset. She could have been anyone's Grandma. It was dark out & I felt so bad for her & wanted to help her but I don't know the area well enough to give her any type of direction. The staff at Uptown Pizza sprung into action to help her. Since it was so late & dark they opted to call the Boardman Police to escort her to her destination. That is what you do to foster a good community by being the reason the community is good. This place is known for several things. Great staff, clean establishment and Amazing Pizza, Subs and believe it.....Wedding Soup. The pizza is cheesy and the sauce really flavorful. They also have very fresh and yummy salads. I have had the individual pizza and also ordered a pie. They do NOT skimp on ingredients. I would never have imagined such great wedding soup at a local pizza shop. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. There are several Sandwich options and plenty of pizza toppings. Very popular Italian restaurant that has been around for ages. They are well known for their delicious pizza, with it's golden crust and flavorful sauce. They also have great sandwiches and dinners. Their spaghetti and meatballs is very popular, but my favorite is their Chicken Parmesan. Two large pieces of real chicken breast (not fried patties like you get elsewhere). It comes with a generous serving of their spaghetti, and a side salad. The salad includes chick peas, two beet slices and a pepperoncini, plus your choice of dressing. It also comes with garlic bread. Great meal! Uptown Pizza is also known for their small personal pizza named The Little Joe. Outstanding sauce, crust and cheese. What a great place to grab a pizza. Upon searching for a place to get pizza, this showed up. I'm a pizza junkie and am always looking for a great pizza. The location was easy to find. Restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms. The young lady at the counter greeted us and then was our waitress. She gave great suggestions. We chose the pizza with everything but the 'fish'. The crust was DELICIOUS and comparable to a pan pizza, minus the grease. TONS of toppings and the sauce was good. We also ordered a 'steak' hoagie. This was truly old school. Not shaved beef, but more like an oblong hamburger. It was good, but probably wouldn't order again. Only negative to food: canned mushrooms. Fresh definitely make a big difference! Updated--- I hate to change my five star review, however the quality has declined during my last few visits. The pizza crusts have been super thin and the toppings are scarce, including the cheese. I've also ordered my pizza well done and the last two times, my request was not honored upon pickup. The uptown I've been eating for years is known for their thick cheese, from crust to crust. For non-NY pizza which is the standard, this little gem in the Valley is the bomb! A very unique pizza that I guarantee you've never had anything like before. They use provolone instead of mozzarella, the sauce is awesome and the crust is nice and crispy. Huge wings that are like a mini bucket of KFC but better! This place is awesome! read more

Had lunch here today. Got there "LARGE" pepperoni roll. The biggest and best I have ever eaten. Was to large to finish. Loaded with BOTH Pepperoni and Cheese! Had some spices on top and comes with a generous cup of hot dipping sauce. I took a picture of approximately the last 1/3 of the roll. Service was very good! Bought a small pepperoni roll and small pizza with the works. This place was sooooo busy with take out customers coming in and out NON Stop! It took awhile for our take out order to be ready AND, we got the wrong pizza but even with the wrong toppings it was delicious! We were also given a chef salad by mistake and it was possibly the best salad I've ever eaten! I now know why it was a steady stream of pick up orders! read more

I've had this pizza several times, my boss likes to order it at work when he gets lunch for the employees. It's one of the better pizza shops in the Youngstown area because of the crust, which I prefer because it is on the thicker side. They have their specialty pizzas, but I think it's more of a one-topping style than anything; that way it doesn't overwhelm the taste of the crust-sauce-cheese combo that really makes it. It's definitely the kind of pizza that you'd want to wash down with a cold beer afterward. I've also had their wings, which are breaded and come with dipping sauce on the side. They aren't terrible, but not what I look for in a chicken wing. The pepperoni rolls are excellent though, and this is coming from someone who worked four years at Ohio's premier stuffed breadstick outlet (Campus Pollyeyes). It's a pizza place that I'd recommend for the pizza products rather than the alternative choices on the menu. read more

Updated: called to order a pizza around 4:30 on a Saturday and was told 30 minutes to pick it. Asked for a supreme pizza and then was asked: 'what toppings would you like' as if supreme pizza was an unknown type of pizza. Pizza was delicious except it was just as greasy/messy as an order of chicken wings. I'll order again at some point but only because it is so close. Sauce on the pizza is sweet and delicious unlike most other pizzas in the area. Good tasting food but often too busy to order if your crunched for time. Not my first or second choice but definitely tasty Tried calling to order some pizzas on a Friday night and got no answer. We went With Cocca's pizza instead. I moved to Nevada four years ago, and I can still taste the pizza and the delicious sub sandwiches from Uptown! I wish they had long distance delivery, because I'd be their best customer!
