Glenda dyed my hair highlighter PINK when I asked for a rose gold balayage. When I confronted her about it she refused to refund me, even though I didn't ask for a refund and continued to gaslight me about the color. 1st I never do bad reviews. If I can't give a 5 star I don't post it. I have to post this one because people need to know the risk they are taking by going here. My M.L. has her hair cut by a different stylist here and it's been fine, except a few times it was too short. But because the owner Becky, doesn't care what the stylists do aslong as they pay the chair rent, no one is held accountable. Sooo many red flags I dismissed as my own anxiety. My regular stylist was booked out 2 months. I found Glenda on marketplace she claimed she was an expert in fantasy color with 30 years experience. I thought I chose carefully. I had thick beautiful hair and was growing it back out from a recent cut. When I went in to see Glenda, I brought pictures of what I wanted. 4 different styles thinking she would know which would work best on my hair, being the expert and all. I told her I liked my roots and wanted to keep the grow out. (It's was a pretty glittery silver) she said she would do a shadow root, it would blend into the lavender and be beautiful. I was so excited! I trusted her expertise. I questioned if my hair was healthy enough to do an all over bleach, she said it looked good and she wouldn't do it if she had doubts. Once the bleach was on she started complaining about how thick my hair was, how she had to keep mixing more product. An expert would have known my hair was thick by looking at it. She missed my bangs, and other chunks of my hair. Didn't fully cover them in the bleach. Parts came out orange. She said the lavender will tone out the orange. Then in the middle of doing my hair, she decided she wanted to try something else that would be beautiful! I agreed, because I thought she was the expert. During the appointment, she asked questions that seamed like chair talk, but I learned she was scoping how much money I had (how much she could charge me) She made fun of some of her clients, and bragged about her awesome work she's done. Stopping at times to show me her Facebook page or a clients Facebook page, which was strange she stalks her clients. the rest seemed normal chair talk. Next she put on a gray all over color, and the shadow root, then rinses without using conditioner. By this point it's pretty crispy. She brushes through it and I see pieces of my hair breaking off. Next is what was suppose to be lavender. I could tell it was not applied evenly as I saw blonde parts in the strands, but I thought she knew what she was doing and didn't question it. Then we wash it all out. I am in a daze at this point. I can't see because she has a 100watt light behind me with the lamp shade off, it shines into the mirror infront. All I see is a glare. She blows it dry, brushing it more not gently at all, more breakage. She wanted to cut it, I told her no. She ended up cutting some anyway, to make it not look so broken. Then she curled it. I couldn't see the damage, she did a good job curling it. It looked gray in the light. No purple at all. Maybe a slight blue tint I couldn't tell in the light. I couldn't wait to go home and get away from the lamp. Then she tells me the price. $460 and it's cash only. She said her credit machine was broken. Who goes into a salon with that much cash? I said I'd have to go to the bank, then all of a sudden her card reader is working. The price wouldn't have been a big thing, had I got what I wanted, I was nieve and didn't know what the average price was for a stylist chair. I went home saw the worried look on my husband's face and the stabbing words "you paid for that?". I straightened my hair and saw splotches of blue, and orange, the shadow root bled into the length. I had an S in the back of my head. My bangs were yellow. I immediately messaged her, she told me she used a new product she's never used and it was periwinkle not lavender and my hair type just didn't work with it. she'll redu it. I said ok. I paid for it, I'd like what I wanted. Then another message. She watched a YouTube video and wants to try something else. A dark purple, and blue-ish pinkish root. I told her that will not work for my job. She offered to give me back part of what I paid, then another message, she changed her mind because I didn't want to come back. My hair was an open wound. I disputed the partial charge with my bank that she agreed to give me. She forged a fake invoice and my signature. I never saw an invoice. She can make up her own charges, forge fake invoices and the owner backs her 100% She is not held accountable for her mistakes. Once you are in her chair you are volunteering for whatever she wants to do, and charge. One of the pictures I posted of what I wanted (copied from pinterest) was used as a hair style she did herself. I wouldn't trust her pictures either. They are probably someone else's work. If its too late and you already experienced the pain, you can file a complaint with the DOR cosmotology barber licensing agency. read more

After my mother came home with amazing hair when working with Miss Glenda a couple weeks ago, I decided to make an appointment with her too. Miss Glenda is absolutely amazing with what her salon refers to as fantasy colors (meaning brilliant, bright, fun colors). She not only fixed a horrible haircut I'd received before, but also dyed my hair gorgeously and took out a lot of the bulk (which I've struggled with forever)! She was meticulous and very professional, talkative and friendly. The best part is I love the way my hair turned out! Note; If you decide to get a fantasy color, make sure you have time. Beauty takes time. Rushing is not Miss Glenda's way and the perfection of my hair reflects not only her knowledge of her craft but also her attention to detail, which is AMAZING. I have been to see Glenda many times over the past few years and she is wonderful. My mother introduced me to her years ago when she worked inside the Walmart and just loved her as well, she always told everyone she was the only hairdresser that could tame her curls. Glenda is so very talented and knows hair like no other hair dresser I have been to before. I have COPD and had a full color and highlights today and had absolutely no issues with the odors. I highly recommend her for all your hair care needs. read more

My mother went and got her hair colored, cut, and styled. She asked me what I thought and I was being nice when I responded to her of course out of respect. However, after talking to her further about it and her telling me how much she paid I was shocked! Her hair was only half styled on one side and after further inspection turned out to be at least 1 inch shorter then the non-styled side. Glenda was very nice and personable however did a horrible job. My mother will not be back, not even to get it fixed. Now she is crying on her 60th birthday. read more
