Not much to say except how incredibly happy I was with my haircut by Taylor! The location is small but welcoming, and can see why there's so many positive reviews. I have extremelyy curly hair, and a lot of it. Its difficult to work with, so I usually am not too picky and don't have too high of expectations (just gets straightened 99% of the time anyways). I go with what the stylist suggests and don't ask any questions except to have the lion mane thinned out a bit. I was in good hands with Taylor, she managed to make my crazy fro manageable and took the (very long and arduous) time give me a great blow out. The amount of time and care that goes into it can't be beat for such a great price, with no excessive chatter or attempts to upsell their services or products. read more

Her hands on experience speaks volumes as soon as she picks up her comb and scissors and slowly glides her fingers and hands through each strand of hair. If you're looking to find a caring, honest reliable hairdresser, you can count on Debra! If you're feeling dull and dry, she will do you over and make you into a bombshell again. To be completely honest with y'all, I always look forward to my hair appts esp when she takes me to the back and puts me in the comfy recliner chair to wash and lather my hair is my all time fave! Had the most horrible experience with Coleen today. I actually cried in the salon it was so awful. I spent two years growing out my hair and taking serious care of it and in one hour, the integrity of my hair was totally destroyed. Had my hair bleached beyond repair and was redone with lowlights to add my "natural" color back in. I look awful with white ends and fake dark roots - not the look I was going for by any means. I wanted natural baylage-looking highlights and now I look like someone who used a drugstore box bleach and let the roots grow out and then covered the roots with drugstore root touch-up. Although Coleen was apologetic, the service I received was similar to that of a student. Sloppy and bleeding highlights, loose foils, bleach flying everywhere, etc. I actually asked her what she was doing multiple times because I knew it was wrong! She attempted to "fix" my hair twice, it still was far from anything I wanted. It is splotchy and three sections of my hair are all dyed differently. I had to catch a flight so I couldn't even try to fix it a third time. Now, I need to go back San Francisco and pay someone to fix the mess that happened here. I have been coming here for about 4 years and never had an issue, my hair was always perfect and the salon was so fun. I actually used to fly down from San Francisco to come here! But seriously, never again. read more

I'm so happy I've found a place and a hairstylist to come to whenever I need anything done to my hair. It was my first time coming here and I booked the appointment over the phone. I was able to have it same day. Heather was my hairstylist today and I wouldn't have had anyone else better. She listened to everything I wanted and suggested things I can do when I was unsure. She gave me tips as I would go through my color and cut without pushing me to buy anything. You can tell she really knows her stuff. Sarah gets 5 stars for being able to put some purple color in my dark asian hair. She was very kind, patient, and attentive and put about 4.5 hours of work into bleaching and coloring. Unfortunately, there was some disturbing talk I overhead by another older stylist. There were some racial remarks and insensitive comments about homeless people that were made but I'm sure that her comments don't reflect the opinions of the entire salon. While she wasn't talking to me, I'd hope the stylists would be at least more sensitive to such topics when working. read more

At the front they even offer a variety of goodies ranging from coffee to mini muffins. - Service: Simply outstanding. My stylist, Katrina, definitely knows her stuff. I was able to get the exact cut, if not better, that i had described in the beginning. Katrina's warm personality made me feel right at home. We shared in a great many conversations while she cut and styled my hair. She was very gentle from beginning to end and yet still achieved the desired look i had requested. Mind you, i am writing this review a day after my hair cut, and my hair still looks like it did when i walked out - healthy, beautiful, and soft to the touch. I also want to add that all stylists were very warm and inviting so no matter who you get, I'm almost positive that they will be just as amazing. - Price: You get your bang for your buck. I work in pb about 5 minutes away from Tanglez. Since I'm relatively new to town I decided to take a chance and try a new salon. After work one day, I stopped by to see the shop and meet the stylists. Heather stuck out to me because she had great style and her hair was done up nice. When it comes to hair I'm very picky. I believe that having nice hair helps you feel better about yourself. I do like trying new stylists because even if they mess up... who knows I might like it! Heather was nice, professional and funny. She checked her appointment book and put me on her schedule to do highlights that week. When I went in to have my hair done, there was fresh coffee and cookies at the front and heather greeted me with a smile. She then sat me down to talk about how I wanted the highlights done. After my hair was washed and styled, it looked beautiful. She did a cute up-do and made my hair look great! After the great experience, she even gave me $10 off since it was my first visit! well I really wanted to like this place. it's close to my house. I got there and she was runni g a little late, cutting her children's hair. no biggie. I showed her several pictures of layers I want and blonde. I have been getting my hair highlighted for a very long time. so I know exactly how it turns out...blonde. at the end of my appt ahe dried it and it looked so horrible. it actually looks brown and brassy. Being a girl with hair down to my lower back, I'm always nervous to get my hair cut by even the best stylist. All of them seem to feel like cutting off 5 inches when I asked for 1 is an ok thing to do. Yesterday was my first time at Tanglez and Marley was amazing!! I honestly have never had a better experience getting a haircut. I have thick, curly hair (and a lot of it!) so when I go to the salon I'm usually there for a couple of hours. In one hour Marley washed my hair, gave me a trim (exactly the length I asked for; no more, no less!) and blow dried my hair so beautifully, if it would stay this way forever I would never wash my hair again. Taylor was very friendly and talkative, and if i dare, even a bit sassy... It was awesome made the experience much more comfortable, and helped me to relax.
