3.5 Ok, so this time I was able to get the flavors I wanted to without the machine's breaking. It wasn't too hard of a process to get your dessert. We were able to pay pretty quickly and be outside eating our treats. I liked the tart flavor and chocolate was really good too. read more

I've been coming here since it opened and I just need to tell you I cannot do it anymore. The selection is poor, they are always out of a significant amount of toppings, today they didn't even have cups for the yogurt. Just little like cardboard fry boats that made it so you couldn't take it to go because there was no way to put a lid on it. Please consider choosing some new/ better flavors. For now I'm literally going to pass by tango and drive to rocklin or Roseville for somewhere with some flavors that I actually want and fully stocked toppings. read more

The ice cream was very good, it is a do it yourself place as well(don't let the kids get to it). Like I said, it is a do it yourself place, but if there was service, I'm sure that it would be quick and good. Really love this spot but they're never open during their advertised hours. It's really frustrating, because you can't find their actual working hours anywhere, not even posted on their door. Last time I brought my daughter here, it was with her classmates, in a field trip about 7 years ago... I was impressed by their patience with so many kids and how delicious their fro yo is! This time, I noticed they have an artist that has her paintings on the walls. Livia Kerr's paintings are absolutely gorgeous. Be sure to check them out, she has the most gorgeous horse paintings I have ever seen... I brought my daughter here for her craving of frozen yogurt and she always gets chocolate. This time, she changed it up and got... triple chocolate frozen yogurt with brownie, Boba, and strawberry toppings... as well as chocolate chips. Can't forget those! The total was only 5 & change(I feel like I'm paying 7 & up at other places) and we were off to the car in no time. This place provides excellent frozen yogurt in a variety of flavors. So far my favorite has been pistachio frozen yogurt. Tango Frozen Yogurt is a self-serve frozen yogurt place with an individual at the register that weighs your yogurt and the patron pays. The fun part for me is choosing the flavors of frozen yogurt and placing the toppings on the frozen yogurt itself. We made a pit stop here on our way to Lake Tahoe. Auburn is the perfect city for a bathroom, gas, and froyo break. The great parts of Tango: - It is really cool that they feature art & paintings in there so it is basically a mini art gallery. - It has a really cute vibe and upstairs area with outlets. Yay for phone charging! - It was 106 outside!! The AC inside was heavenly. - I really liked the cookie dough topping! It was the scoopable cookie dough rather than the boring separate chunks. - The no sugar added vanilla was good. - Easily accessible bathroom. - The lady working there was really nice, and she was cleaning the toppings area. The only thing I felt a little disappointed about is that they only have 6 flavors of froyo (3 machines). Otherwise, it was just what we needed on our trip! read more

Situated across from Auburn's Native American Dancer statue is a brightly lit self-serve yogurt place. The outside has a few tables under parasols, but the inside is an open, brightly off-white, cozy house-like place. Star lampshades and LED string lights dangle and tangle all around the place. Local art and photos hang on the wall behind the cashier to the right, above the yogurt machines in the center of the whole place, and by a white fireplace off to the left. To the back left is a stair case that leads to an even cozier seating area of high tables and couches that overlook the place. Oddly sticking out in the floor is a kitchen island where toppings from mochi to berries to chocolate rocks sit, as well as the various polkadot cups for holding your frozen concoction. Three machines hold the various and revolving flavors that change. Seemingly, it includes four or five frozen yogurt flavors with the other being reserved for sorbet. After some sampling I decide to actually go for their sorbet (orange splash one visit, kiwi-strawberry the next) with a side of their Vanilla and California Tart. Topped with some white mochi bits and popping pearls, and I'm good to go. The first shocking thing is, for a self-serve yogurt, the price wasn't actually too bad. I ended up filling my small cup and that probably equals a double or triple scoop of ice cream. Flavor-wise I chose these since they appealed to me the most due to preferences. The tart is, well, tart and tangy in the way a plain greek-style yogurt tastes. It's mellow and smooth in the first few seconds of tasting it before a funky tart kick comes at the end. It begs you to then scoop up another bite to get that bit of sweet to teeter your tastebuds between the two flavors of sweet and tart. The vanilla was a fairly good sweet vanilla that's better than the common fast food vanilla yogurt/ice cream, but nothing really wowed me about it. The stars of the selection were the sorbets. Both times too! The orange was a pleasantly juicy, citrusy, bright-orange pop that was neither too sweet, too sour, nor too tart. It was almost like a frozen version of my favorite orange soda which shan't be named. The kiwi-strawberry was in the same boat as well. Full of fruity flavor without being too sweet in the slightest. Overall, this was a rather impressive yogurt stop in terms of looks and value for the price. Flavors will range depending on who is enjoying them, but I can confidently say there should be something for everyone even with only six flavors. I give them a great 4. read more

This is my first time coming there!! I don't live around there! I live 200 miles away!! Me my sister & my dad we're looking for a truck and we decided to stop by there since it was the only one open. The lady was very friendly and helpful! She asked us what kind of sizes we want and once she gave it to us, she said she will wipe down everything since you know covid19 and after that she said once we use the spoons to pick up the things we want that we will put it in the dirty spoons so people don't touch the ones that were already used. However my experience proved to be five star worthy with friendly young girl behind the counter. LOVE the decor and ambiance. With its loft seating upstairs, it makes for a cozy, yet modern, experience. I don't know what charmed me more: the comfy, padded chairs upstairs, or the sleek white tables and chairs downstairs. At 40 cents an ounce, there are six flavors. From what I can recall: * Vanilla * Chocolate * California tart (Yay! Like Euro, but not as tart perhaps? Us Californians are friendlier. LOL.) * Fruit sorbet (reminiscent of tropical fruits) * Pumpkin spice * Blackberry All were very good and had the perfect consistency. Toppings-wise, you had pretty typical toppings. I adore historic architecture from the crown molding on ceilings, extravagant fireplaces, to the rustic hardwood floors and this place had it all. The location might be the best feature since its located downtown Auburn right in front of town square. The yogurt was great wt out toppings. And there was do much to look at inside. Tons of acrylic paint on canvas art bursting wt vibrant colors. Such a great place to take the kiddios. They had a window bench that ran the entire wall of windows lined wt books of all sorts. Outside was additional seating and just a few steps away from town square. Town square offered plenty of bench seating wt a cozy fire in the center. There was even live music. Constant flow of customers most of which were young families & had dogs! Dogs stayed outside but was great entertainment to watch them all. Will defiantly go back again. :) read more

One of the best yogurt shops I have ever visited. The flavors taste fresh and natural, and the large variety of toppings make this a must visit shop. Probably the best chocolate yogurt I have ever sampled, but I have tried over time everything that Tango had available, and the flavors were all excellent. You can have a very healthful treat, or indulge to your hearts content with a really good hot fudge topping. Their seasonal specialty flavors are worth a visit in their own right. The store is always clean, with a fresh look inside and out. The outdoor seating is comfortable and convenient, with benches, tables, chairs, and inviting landscaping. The decor is very nice inside, with seating both in the main serving area and a loft upstairs. I've always found the service staff very pleasant and helpful. I visit Auburn frequently to hike the trails in the American River canyon off of Hwy 49. Whether it is a hot summer day, or in the middle of the cold, wet winter, I always feel the need to stop here for a break before heading home. It's also a great place to cool off during the Friday night car shows in downtown Auburn, a nice change from the heat of the evening. A little gem in downtown Auburn. read more
