We loved this place! Great selection of candies and other sweet novelties at a great value. This is also a lovely little gift shop! I like to support local businesses and while this joint does not offer scooped ice cream, there are premade ice cream sandwiches and huge cones from another local business that are sold in the freezers here. Great and friendly service from the business owner as well. I bought some locally sourced honey here and as a result have now discovered another gem to support in the area! "The Bee Box" sells items here and I fell in love with their unique blends of honey flavors. We got some ice cream sandwiches here - strawberry cheesecake, birthday cake, and lemon - and boy they were delicious! HUGE, but tasty and decadent quality nonetheless! Also, as a side note... our drive back to Sac was about 45 min from here. I could only eat half of the ice cream sandwich, but by the time we got home after those 45 mins, the big remaining half of the sandwich was still cleanly frozen! I popped it into the freezer and enjoyed the rest of it later. We didn't even put it in a cooler or anything, plus it was a hot day. So if you don't finish your ice cream then don't worry because it won't melt fast.! I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in town!

While exploring Auburn's main street area I saw a sign for a candy shop, so naturally, I had to go and check it out. There were barrels of candy and lots of freshly made truffles and treats in the glass cabinets. Now, I went twice and the second time the owner was there and let me know that most of the chocolates in the case are gluten free so that was nice. Obviously the rice krispies, pretzels and cookies were not gluten free but it was nice getting to try some other items. They also have some plush and tourist type items. It was a fun discovery.

The super cute entrance at the bottom of the stairs! It quite literally feels like a cave. Such a special hidden gem

Stopped in our way home from Tahoe and had a great experience. Super cute little shop with candy barrels, handmade chocolates, ice cream sandwiches, old fashion candy, a whole wall full gummies in jars and more! The lady who owns the place was SO kind and helpful and her hospitality was unmatched. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Most epic, giant and delicious ice cream sandwiches! The shop is so cute with all kinds of your favorite candies & confections. Lisa, the owner is the sweetest! A hidden gem you must stop in downtown Auburn

You can ask to sample a mandarin while you're there. He let me choose one from any crate. Currently, you can buy 5 lb for $10. The 10 lb bag for $22 isn't as good a deal, maybe because you are purchasing the cardboard box? You can also buy crates for $50, which is the best value. I think a crate contains 40 lb. This has been the only farm I have seen so far that allows you to purchase so huge a quantity, especially so early in the season. Mandarins are juicy. You may be able to buy other farm produce here, like persimmons and nuts. The Fuyu persimmons looked so perfect and beautiful that I bought a big bag for $10. You can pay by credit card. Mandarin Hill Orchards is off English Colony Way, part of the Mandarin Trail. Happy Dayz Vineyard is located on the same grounds. I like that you can see and drive through the scenic mandarin orange orchard when you shop here. Even the railroad crossing you have to drive over is pretty. This was the best mandarin farm experience and stop so far.

Their own gift shop was closed but suggested and referred me to Petals and Sweets. I called them and spoke to the owner explaining my situation. I was interested in a silly stuffed animal. She texted me immediately pictures of her animal collection. I picked one out- and cost of item and delivery was most reasonable. I told her that I would call back in the morning and place the order. I was told by my son, that my granddaughter would most likely be in the hospital for several days! SURPRISE!!!! The next morning her condition had drastically improved and she was marked for release. I hurried and placed my order again talking to the store owner. She was now aware of the soon to be release. SURPRISE!!!! Within 15 minutes my son announced they had released my GD ... I called the store panicked. Because the owner had no drivers yet for delivery, she herself, personally delivered my gift .... Straight to my GD's room. The owner dropped everything, closed her business to deliver a goofy colored bird for a total stranger living in Las Vegas! If that's not exceptional care, service and kindness nothing is. If anyone reading this book needs flowers, gifts, candies delivered in this shop's area...... you'll be delighted you gave your business to Petals and Sweets.

I rarely leave reviews like this, but after this experience I feel other customers should know what…read morethey may be dealing with, particularly when ordering flowers for an important occasion. My boyfriend spent approximately $110 on a bouquet that arrived substantially different from what he ordered, with multiple flowers already looking dry, damaged, or deteriorating and petals falling onto my desk shortly after delivery. I have included photos of what was ordered versus what was received so people can make their own judgment about the quality. Unfortunately, the flowers became almost secondary to the customer-service experience. When I called to address the condition of the arrangement, I expected a simple conversation about correcting the issue. Instead, the owner became defensive and personal. I was told that I did not understand flowers, that daisies naturally drop petals, and that I had essentially ruined the nice gesture my boyfriend was trying to make by complaining about the bouquet. The conversation became increasingly inappropriate. At one point she reminded me that she knew where I worked because that was where the flowers had been delivered. In the context of the conversation, it struck me as an apparent attempt to intimidate me and had absolutely nothing to do with resolving a complaint about flowers. When I told her I would never speak to one of my patients the way she was speaking to me, she told me she doubted that because she "knows how healthcare workers are." When I mentioned having seen other negative reviews after she told me she does not receive complaints, her response was, "Boy, you sure do have a lot of time on your hands." The email she subsequently sent my boyfriend was just as concerning. Rather than simply addressing the order, she discussed me personally, referred to me as "your girl," said we were "not seeing eye to eye," and ended her email with, "good luck to you with her." I am including a screenshot of that email so prospective customers can read it themselves and draw their own conclusions. To be fair, she ultimately refunded $92 of the approximately $110 purchase after retrieving the arrangement, which I appreciate. I assume the remaining amount was the delivery charge, and I have no issue with that. The financial matter was resolved appropriately. My reason for leaving this review is the way a legitimate complaint was handled. Customers spending this kind of money on flowers for someone special should be able to raise a concern about quality without being personally insulted, condescended to, or discussed disparagingly with the person who purchased the gift. The photos show the flowers. The screenshot shows the communication. People can decide for themselves whether this is the quality and customer service they would be comfortable paying for. I personally would not use this florist again.
