Stopped in while we were waiting for a dinner table across the street. Didn't have a reservation here but we were easily able to come in and share a tasting at the bar. I had been to this tasting room location when it was previously Copia, so I was excited to check out the new tenants. Love the Tank! A cuter than hell little bar with seating for 10-12 bar stools, outfitted with an Indian motorcycle and cool garage-oriented signage. One cool bartender, and some damn good wine. Tank Winery is not a Paso Wine, instead it's in Calistoga/Napa region, this is purely a tasting room. The back room is a cool, smallish room, that would be perfect for a small band with sofas and chairs. Love. Oh yeah, and the wine is delish. I'll be going back often. read more

Tank Winery in Calistoga recently expanded to a tasting room in Paso Robles. The decor is very well thought out and put together with a garage-type theme. But it's the back room that's really cool. Kind of like a Hard Rock bar with the vibe of a lounge in NYC's East Village. The wine labels are very tongue in cheek with an adult sense of humor. The server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Usually I can find a wine that I'd want a bottle or two of but I dropped a star, due to the wines I tasted not being exceptional.
