Can't get it back bc it's in pieces and he says it'll cost more bc it's now on the lift. And for some reason has been on the lift for over a month. This situation has been absolutely heartbreaking to watch. A close friend of mine has been in tears for hours over what this shop has put her family through. Her van has been sitting there with a failed transmission, and instead of getting clear answers or real help, her husband keeps getting the runaround. She feels completely trapped. From what she and her husband have been told, the price keeps changing, the timeline keeps getting pushed back, and they are now refusing to do the work while still holding up her vehicle. It honestly feels like her van is being held hostage. What makes this even worse is that she has three children and her family depends on that vehicle. They only have one other car, and that creates a serious problem because her husband cannot always take the kids where they need to go while she has the other vehicle at work. This is not some small inconvenience. This has created an overwhelming situation for a mother who is already stretched thin, and it has pushed her into a full emotional crisis. No business should leave a family feeling this desperate, helpless, and broken. The most disturbing part is the complete lack of compassion. Instead of helping resolve the issue, this shop has added more stress, more confusion, and more pain to a family that is already struggling. Hearing the same name, Blaine, come up over and over again while nothing gets fixed only makes it feel worse. I had a great experience at this shop so the 1 star reviews sound completely foreign to me. When I took my vehicle in, it was kept inside the whole time so no chance of anyone breaking in to it unless someone broke in to the building. I found Matt very competent and knowledgeable. I have a Nissan and he knew exactly what problems most Nissans have at around 100,000 miles and what needed to be done. I have had no problems at all since the repairs to my vehicle and the price was very reasonable. read more

The back story is that my friends had the Roy Tanner Transmission do a full flush and service on their 2006 Honda Odyssey a 1000 miles ago. When i was changing the driver side half shaft the oil that came out of the transmission didn't look good very dark and used. So when i mentioned it to them they told me about the trany service. I looked the drain plug, fill plug and upper oil filter over and could not discern any witness marks showing that they had been used. So i sent my friends back to ask about it and the two tech on site were very unprofessional and rude. Instead of trying to solve the concerns they got very defensive. They also told them that you can't change the filter in that trans which is partially true. the main filter is not serviceable but there is an upper one that is. So funny they would charge them for a filer and then tell them you can't change it. I would not let these folks touch anything i own!!!! read more

Took my car into the shop because I thought I was having problems with my transmission. They did a free inspection and found that some of my connectors were really dirty and causing some problems. They cleaned them off for me, no charge. I was a little hesitant to take my car here because of the bad reviews, but they Took really good care of me and my car is running smoothly. read more

Disappointed. They rebuilt my transmission 3 years ago and I have gone in for all of the "required checkups " as stated in the repair contract. The solenoid pack went out and now suddenly the 5yr warranty (posted and touted everywhere in their store in Sunset) is not honored because the guy who signed my paperwork on the most recent checkup no longer works there. This place quoted 130 dollars and half a day to do the job of simply fixing a leak one week later and 1000 dollars my transmission worked horrible when I picked up the truck and it worked fine when I took it there I took it to another transmission shop to have it gone over they left over half the bolts out left it with no filter and my leak was worse than when I took it there plz take my advice and do not!! I scheduled a appointment for Saturday Morning 8am to have some work done on a leaking transmission and to show up 10 mins early and to wait around for 30 mins to find out that the shop was still not open really ticked me off. Don't schedule an appointment and then don't show, very unprofessional. I truly believe they are capable of doing much better that is the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 0. read more

Ogden team is well put together. They diagnosed my car. They were very comprehensive and checked everything. Service was excellent. They were honest and respectful. 1 star is already too many stars!!! I GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS! THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECIEVED IN MY WHOLE LIFE. The main guy was a complete ****!!! First off, my car had to be towed there late at night. It got broken in to and my nice stereo got stole. Not a safe place to go to, no security cameras and the place looks like a complete dump!! My clutch gave out, so the estimate was $615, the guy said he would call me if anything else had to get fixed. NEVER DID. I go in to pick my car up and it ended up being $915!!! When I asked why it is so much money and why he didn't call me, he flipped out at me and told me to not bust his ass about it!!!! My boyfriend then asked him a question and the guy told him to get the **** out of his office!!!! Very unprofessional. I had to tell the guy to calm down!!! They also said they could have it done in 1 day, ended up taking a week!! I went to pay with m card finally, and he said he doesn't trust me, so he made me go all the way to the bank to pick up cash or a cashiers check. AWFUL MAN. NEVER GO HERE!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! I just got done getting my car checked out by them. They ran a full "free" diagnostics test and found nothing but once I drove the car home it felt a lot different (it shifted a lot harder then before I brought it in). They kept saying they couldn't recreate the problem I was noticing which was shifting hard. You drive it just right and you could almost get whiplash from it. I also noticed 12 miles were put on the car. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DRIVE 12 MILES TO FIGURE OUT WHATS WRONG WITH MY TRANSMISSION?! My $1000 stereo system was messed with also. It just had all the signs of being victim of a joy ride and when I asked if they could provide me with a receipt saying nothing was wrong they hesitated. The guy kept asking why I wanted one and the second his keyboard stopped working he was quick to tell me he might not be able to get me one. Really? In my opinion it was really shady and I would not go there again. I gave them a chance despite hearing loads of bad experiences from my co-workers and they just confirmed those stories. As with other services, I was skeptical of any transmission shop. After reading reviews here, I remained skeptical (due to a couple bad reviews), but decided to have them take a look at my truck. I am glad I did. Their pricing was very competitive and the service was outstanding. No one wants a major transmission repair. But, if you do need one, I highly recommend you try these guys! Just like others I took my car in as the transmission would sometimes shift a little rough.. enough to notice it a little bit nothing terrible. I took my car in with an appointment at 12:30 showed up at 12:15 45 minutes later the guy comes up to me saying he never got my keys... about 30 mins later I'm checking on my car they are still driving it??? Which I was promised a free diagnostic with a 15 point inspection. When he finally came in he tells me it'll cost me $527 to have it sent off to tell me exactly what was wrong with it and that the money I paid that day would go towards repairs. When I declined and went to leave he said well if you break down on the way home call me and we'll get you a free tow back to get it fixed... when I took my car in it wasn't driving bad at all so to me that comment was not comforting. When I left, my car barely made it home! It was shifting so hard that it felt like I was being rear ended. Also my radio is not working. I wish I could give this place no stars. I'm a single mom who is unable to afford to now fix this mess. read more

I want to rate them as a 0, but unfortunately, that is not an option. I took my vehicle to them since they claim to have "the best electronic diagnostic equipment in the state". After having my vehicle 2 different times for a total of 11 weeks out of 13, they were unable to fix my transmission so that it would be in the right gear! I had to get rental cars, which of course they do not cover. I only had my vehicle back for 2 weeks, and I told them that it still was shifting hard. In the end, they brought it to the dealer to diagnose; it needed a new computer module, so obviously their diagnostic equipment lacks! I paid $4274.00 for a rebuilt transmission that I didn't need; I then paid another $2136 to the dealer to fix it right. Do not fall for the "Lifetime Warranty", as had I checked online for reviews of their services, countless people have been without their vehicle endless times without it ever being fixed right. I am still fighting to get my money back, as they never fixed the actual problem. They have an 'F' with the BBB for good reasons! (Should have checked that out before using them, also.)
