I used to have an account at Tanning Loft, but switched to Beach Bum because Tanning Loft is extremely dirty, they don't clean the beds, and the beds are all outdated. Came here today because I didn't have enough time to drive out to Beach Bum... AC is broken, no towels so they ripped off one piece of paper towel for me, and the beds are still filthy. UPDATE: TODAY I WENT BACK, ONCE AGAIN AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGMENT, AND LOWE AND BEHOLD THE PLEXI GLASS FROM THE "S CLASS" BED COMPLETELY FELL OFF THE TOP OF THE BED ONTO MY BODY. Don't worry, there's no protocol for any type of accident except for the manager to say "this has happened a hundred times, you'll be fine." Oh wait I'm sorry they "credited my account for a free tan next time." I give everyone who ever reads this review permission to backhand me across the face if I ever think of going back to this dirtbomb of an excuse for a salon "next time." read more

Filthy, disgusting, unfriendly, overpriced, and manage to hire a slew of uneducated and uninformed about tanning. I would drive to Brooklyn or Jersey before ever extending my business to any of the remaining salons still open. read more

Yes I know the tanning salon is bad for you Butttt when i used to come here a few years ago the people who wiorked here were very useful and friendly The salon was clean and after anyone came out of a booth - the beds were sprayed down and cleaned. And there was never a long wait. Great if you want a tan when there isnt much sun outside. read more

I have been coming to this place for years on and off but, unfortunately this place has turned into a dump. First off, most of the people behind the counter are two fries short of a happy meal. Then they charge you 5 dollars for a membership every 6 months. I do not understand what that is, but I have been paying it for years. I usually only go on Sundays because its half price but, even that is not worth it any longer. They almost never have change when you give them cash so when you use your debit cash card, they charge you tax. In addition, they have lowered all the minutes on the machines. Most of them used to 12 to 15 minutes but, now they are 7 minutes. They just opened a Sunbelievable right up the street therefore, I will be going there from now on. read more

I love this place ! I have been coming here for a couple years now and every time I go they are so nice and very welcoming. The manager is KICKASS AND SUPER POLITE. I left a little cheap necklace there once and he had his girl at the front hold onto it for me until next time I came in. He remembered who I was and gave it back because he thought maybe it had special value to me. I was blown away by his kindness. This place has good music on every time I go in and is not uncomfortable for new people they will help you figure out which bed is best. I love tanning loft and it's very affordable. 10/10 recommend ! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had the worst experience ever getting a spray tan here. Seriously avoid going to this place at all cost (and this is coming from someone who only leaves reviews about businesses she loves). Here are the highlights: 1. Rude 2. Dirty spray tan machines 3. No hair nets for spray tan 4. Pricey I walked in and was surrounded by 5 high school girls talking to their friend the receptionist. The receptionist asked what I needed (no hi or hello). I told her I needed a spray tan and she asked for my credit card (no explanation of the services they had or the cost). I stupidly stayed because I am leaving for vacation today and wanted a pre vacation tan. She charged me $25 which is pricey for one spray tan. Once the room was free (from her friends getting spray tans) she said it was open and I could go in. She gave me zero explanation on where to stand or how to stand in this machine or what to push to start the machine. After taking a few minutes to figure it out the machine I started it up and stepped in, right into a sludge of old spray tan solution that collected on the bottom of the machine THE BOTTOMS OF MY FEET ARE NOW STAINED DARK BROWN! And no amount of scrubbing or chemical remover has gotten it off. Once I left I went to touch my hair and realized she never gave me a hair net and there wasn't any in the room and now I had spray tan in my hair. It was an awful experience all around. It's your business, it not my job to remember to ask for a hair net, or know how to use your machine. My advice. Learn from my awful experience and DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I never heard of a business closing at 10:00 then refusing a customer when they walk in at 9:45. Her excuse was "our last tan is at 9:30". Then the time should say it closes at 9:30...no, she was just too lazy to wipe down a bed which is what she gets paid to do...that would of took a whole minute for her to do. Place is completely disgusting. Girls who work there are fucking trash out of somewhere one or two are nice usually girl who works at victory in the morning and a chubby girl who works at great kills but only on weekends, that's about it. It's smelly, dirty,dusty and dark. I use to want to come tan and relax and feel pretty now I come in I worry a bug will get on me or someone's going to get stuck in a bed again. Dirty!!! The face machine has had BUGS DEAD inside stuck there forever. Okay it has no effect on the machine but who wants to look at 50 dead bugs inside the machine !? If its hard to take off and clean at least do it ONCE. It was like that for a good 8 months. Gross. read more

I have been going to Tanning Loft for years now. Had a very bad experience the other day with Julia. Julia who wouldn't get off her cell phone and help customers, was extremely rude to me when I asked for help. Not to mention the other two people on line in front of me walked out as she was in a full conversation. When I said I'll make a complaint, she stated that her boyfriend was the manager and he won't do anything to her. She hysterically laughed in my face and said have fun calling him. So I'm sure along with the two other patrons that walked out, I will no longer be patronizing Tanning Loft. Due to Julia's actions I am now forced to call the Board of Health and report some major issues. read more

I've been going to tanning loft for a year or two now on and off. I'm giving tanning loft five stars because I have a nice tan that lasts a while (even if I don't go for a week). But mainly because there is a girl who works there usually the opening shift I'm assuming and she's there most days. She's very sweet and welcoming and I appreciate great customer service read more

The reviews on this page are old. Let me give you the new update. The machines suck. The bronzer machine(only machine worth tanning) breaks every week. because everyone else knows the other machines suck that the Bronzer machine is the best one. So it over heats and breaks on a weekly basis. The owner shows up once a month to collect the money and thats it. The place is in serious need for maintenance. Only reason to go to this place is the pricing and half off sundays. Those deals alone make it worth the trouble. read more
