My family and I love this place - definitely something special! You feel it when you walk thru the door. This place is alive - brilliant colors, handmade art, ornate, plush, green and growing. Not sure how they keep their plants so healthy, but I'm guessing it has something's to do with the palpable warmth and care shown by the staff - Good people bringing their goodness. Welcoming and knowledgeable, the staff is clearly into what they do and happy to share. This place is a jewel, we always leave smiling and with some plant or present, proud to share whatever treasure we found with the rest of our friends and family. First off, this place is amazing and stunning to look at, they did such a great ob at creating this space and energy in the shop. You get lost in the wonderment. But most importantly, their customer service is amazing , kind, knowledgeable and helpful. They have so much beautiful plants and you can tell they appreciate and take care of them with love . Me and a friend of mine were in the neighborhood nearby and decided to check out this wonderful gem in Burbank. Unique gifts and beautiful plants. You can even make your own homemade candles and and create at the craft table. Alot of gifts made in India. Such thought and creativeness put into making this a pleasant stop in for that special someone you may have in mind. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back! read more

What a magical and whimsical place! The energy is incredible and you can feel so much love has been put into every inch of the store. I love the owners commitment to supporting the community by carrying a lot of local artists work and even mentoring local kids by allowing them to experience working in the store. She even has a pop up coffee shop on the weekends in the garden which my kids love! Small businesses like these are so inspiring. The staff is so knowledgeable about the plants and are always happy to help repot or offer other services without judgment. I ask A LOT of questions and they are always happy to help with the humor and kindness that you can only find in a small family business. Tansy is now my go to for all gift giving and feel good needs! I highly recommend!!! read more

I walked in and I absolutely loved this place. Everything is SO CUTE and I wanted to purchase everything. As someone with very little experience with plants, I expected the people that worked there to be kind, knowledgeable, and happy to help me, but that just wasn't the case. I asked if could get a plant potted there and they told me I should do it at home - it was just a vibe that they didn't want to do more than they had to. When I asked if plants were safe for cats, they pointed out plants that turned out to be toxic to cats. I left empty handed and feeling defeated, unwelcome & disappointed. read more

LOVE this place. I am doing a home improvement on our dining room and unfortunately I went to three other stores before Tansy. Almost as soon as I walked in I was regretting every other store purchase as I would MUCH rather have spent my money here. Amongst other things I needed plants and plant hangers but there are so many beautiful things at Tansy. A kind of funny bit is in the morning I had just sent funds to a hard hit area (by Covid) in India.. I was then at the store and turned around an item and saw it was from India. My stomach kind of seized and I thought to myself "gosh I hope the people who made this were treated well". While I am online purchasing something I get fair trade but when shopping in person honestly I don't expect it. Upon check out I noticed a fair trade brochure and inquired. Turns out 80% (she may have said 90) of the items in the store are fair trade! Almost no place does that these days, or at least not that I am aware of (outside of food and coffee items that are easier to get). So I will be back for sure. And indeed the things other people have said about energy are true too. Good vibes. read more

This is my new favorite store. New houseplants in beautiful new pots are the best thing to happen to my home since quarantine started; they bring me joy every day. Also, getting out of the house to come take a look around this small but really thoughtfully curated collection of delightful artsy home decor is just a treat you definitely owe yourself. This place is a GEM! Beautifully curated collection of plants alongside gifts and other sweet homewares. The staff is super helpful and friendly. As a newer plant mom, I have always been a little intimidated to "grow" (pun not intended) my collection, but the staff was so helpful in recommendations for light, watering, potting, etc. And speaking of the pots... sooooo many cute ones to choose from!!! Also, they will pot your new plant for you for a minimal charge (I think just $5.) Seriously, go check them out. It will brighten your day. read more

I absolutely love this store. It just makes my heart flutter when I see all of the treasures and plants I want to adorn my space with! HOWEVER- The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the customer service is absolutely overbearing. You can tell the younger staff members are pressured by the owners to sell and that's a huge turn off for me to be burdened with when I just want to experience the store. I have to brace myself for it before I walk in and I just really wish I didn't have to do that. When you have a store that is covered in every corner with eye candy I think it's important to allow your customers to explore with out bombarding them with pushy sales tactics. I don't mind a friendly "do you need help finding something specific?" But once I respond with "No, thank you." PLEASE don't keep pushing. Once I went in with my child and I had a sales member following me around bringing different children's "toys" (stuffed animals that were VERY expensive) and trying to pressure us into buying them. I was highly irritated and had to then grab the item out of my child's hands (which any mom knows what a nightmare that can turn into) and repeatedly tell her that I was just looking.. Recently I went in there and after being asked the second I walked into the door if I needed help- which I replied that I didn't, was then followed by a pushy explanation of their new Halloween decor blah blah blah and that I can find it here and there and I can build this or that- it was just annoying not helpful. Also I feel like if I wanted Halloween decor I could very easily discover that myself. Geez I just want to be left alone to explore unless I ask for help please . If the store itself wasn't so amazing the pushiness is bad enough that I usually wouldn't return. I'm hoping this review finds its way to the owners and they take my experience into consideration. I spend at least $100-300 every single time I go in there so the pressure to sell me is absolutely not necessary. read more

I went to the most wonderful baby shower here. The owners are so nice and welcoming. The shop is lovely with so many plants and home items I want to decorate my home with. I will be back for sure. We did a candle making that we got to personalize with different containers and scents. There were so many options it was hard to choose! I've lived in Burbank for a while and have seen many businesses in this location come and go. I was excited to learn about Tansy moving in, but was scared it would be like its predecessors. I am so so happy to see that I was wrong! This place is AMAZING! I am a novice plant mom, and opted to shop at a small business rather than a hardware store like Lowe's or Home Depot. I came originally because I thought the women at Tansy would be more knowledgeable about their plants than the employees at a hardware store. Boy was I right! I came out of my shopping experience feeling like I had just taken a botany class! Not only are the women at Tansy knowledgeable, they are also so beyond kind and helpful. They make a connection with every customer that comes through their door! I ended up spending almost two hours browsing the store and talking to the women who own the store! Michelle and Shawna are so kind, and were excited to teach me all about my new plants! I can't recommend Tansy enough! Regardless of the kind of day you're having, spend some time at Tansy and you'll leave with a smile on your face! This store is really a gem in Burbank! read more
