In July 2025, my landscaper purchased 18 25-gallon Eugenia shrubs to create a green barrier for the front yard of my cottage, which is located on a busy street. They looked great when first planted. But then they began shriveling and dying. Unbeknownst to my landscaper and me, these Eugenia shrubs are diseased and are dying. They were planted correctly and properly watered and fertilized. Vineland Nursery won't replace them because "they didn't grow them". The grower, they claim, is responsible, and mentioned that other customers had the same problem. This lack of due diligence in vetting the grower and their plants is unprofessional, and the onus is not on the customer. I expect full exchanges or a refund for my purchase. read more

Do NOT under any circumstance get your plants delivered unless you are absolutely positively going to be there. I've gotten thousands of things delivered to my home from all sorts of companies and literally everyone takes an extra 30 seconds and stashes delivered items behind a nearby bush or off to the side of the house off the street we're passing cars can't see. These guys delivered $500 worth of plants literally to the front curb. Just sitting right there in broad daylight for anyone to take. How stupid can these people be??? read more

This has to be one of my favorite places. On an overcast day it's a great place to spend the morning strolling and admiring all the varieties of plants they have to offer. The workers will even give you a ride around the 5 acre grounds to browse more if you don't feel like/have trouble walking. I have probably visited this location 4 times within the last 30 days. They do not carry indoor plants but they do carry shade tolerant and full sun varieties. Also I don't think they have fruit trees, at least they didn't a year or so ago when I stopped in. A great thing about this place is they sell the plastic containers in all sizes for as low as .50 each. These are great if you have a container garden like myself. I purchased to larger pots for some pomegranate trees I recently got. If I could warn you about anything it would be to pay attention in the driveway. It's easy to go off the curb and smack your undercarriage if you're not paying attention. Also WEAR A MASK or they will NOT serve you. Happy planting! read more

The correct way to say this to a customer is ask them if they need help finding something as they are closing. We had been to a couple of nurseries and some places seemed like their plants weren't as vibrant or customer service was dead. We ended up coming on Tuesday 7/7/20 and one of the gentleman Victor greeted us with such a sweet and calm demeanor. He drove us around in a small cart showing us various plants. He was very knowledgeable had all the patience in the world. He gave us suggestions on watering, pruning, sun exposure and we have pets so on plants that would not hurt them. I went here 3 times and spent an hour waiting for Someone to help me. No one does. The third time I went I waited hour and then near closing time came. The manager asked its closing . I said I have been waiting , and it's my 3rd visit to buy plants. He said told me to leave if you don't like it and come back several hours before closing. I'm like why would you be so disrespectful I have put energy to come and buy plants. The prior 2 times they would ask you to put plants aside and driver would go with you and pick it up. So I did that. No driver. To think I would spent 5k here as I needed to order for a entire yard to these ungrateful , disrespectful , heck no. I find it interesting how no one cares to make money or Sale during these difficult financial times. I spent one hour picking the flowers I wanted. When I wanted to pay I waited for 30 minutes to get someone to help me. When I complained about how long it took to get service the owner said " you don't have your buy anything." One of his workers told me this is how he deals with women. I decided he doesn't deserve a penny if he had issues with women. I left all the flowers I had picked. I am never going back! This place is awesome! Lots of plants for a cheaper price than your normal hardware/ nursery store. I came here with my husband in hopes of finding the perfect plants for our patio. Came out with 3 large bougainvillea plant, 6 medium size Littleleaf boxwood, 2 daisies, and some succulents for a little less than $100. Quite a steal if you ask me. The people who work there are amazing and are knowledgeable. I asked every plant care question out there and the worker explained everything in detail. He even made sure to let me know where to place the plants and remind me of the watering schedule. They have mini carts to drive you around so you can see the plants you want. ** If you pay in cash, you don't have to pay tax** TIPS: Wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty. The men who drive you around, carry the heavy plants and trees and really put in the work are kind and work very hard. However, the owners of this nursery are absolutely awful. Francisco specifically has been rude each time that I've been there. I continue to go back and give them my business because of the workers, but it will be my last time because of how rude the owner is. He even took money from me and did not give me the change back until I realized it after. Zero ethics and horrible manners. They treat you as though they're doing you a favor. There's so many nurseries available that no reason to give your business to an institution who especially the owners are so disrespectful and horrible. read more

I really wanted to like this nursery because it looks really large and it's close to my work. I called to see if they had the plants that I wanted and also the price for them. Finally a nursery that isn't so far into the damn valley! Basically it's near Oxnard and Vineland so not far from Studio City. They nursery is lovely. They have high, high end stuff. And really good, near wholesale prices. Plus, they're open to the general public. The staff take you around on little carts and help you choose and load your items. They're so nice. No filter needed in my photo of these awesome succulents and ground cover flowers that Fidel helped me pick out and carry to my car and I didn't even have to ask him to do that which was wonderful considering I have had a surgery that left me unable to over exert myself. I saw some other reviews on here...take a chance...if your all about customer service then don't be shy and just ask. I got there today at 4pm and things went super...they do close at 4:30 so keep that in mind and look for a large white shed when you park to find staff. The shed itself may seem kinda hidden but it's in front and to the left of the succulents...their staff is often in there as this is where you pay, commune, get a sip of water on hot days, etc.. I plan to be back for more tomorrow!! Ps, all these plants were around $65ish all together with tax or there about a so it's a steal! If you can see the size of these babies their all top notch and perfect for our valley climate...their staff helped me with all my questions ranging from literally everything like shade to ground cover and more. Love their plants selections and their prices. I bought 9 medium size plants/flowers and it only costs a little over $100! The staff (Hector) saw me around the entrance and pick me up and drove me around the place on his cart. He also loaded all the plants for me and line the trunk with a big pcs of plastic to prevent dirt spills. Plenty of parking right outside of the nursery. the only thing is they don't sell pots, so you have to get them elsewhere. read more

They have a good selection of plants. But good luck finding anyone to help you... My wife and I went to this local nursery to look for some specific plants. We saw that they were closing at 5pm, so we showed up at about 4:15pm thinking that would be plenty of time. First off, the parking lot itself is somewhat confusing, with no clear indications where they would ACTUALLY like you to park. So we just parked next to all of the other cars. So, at Vineland nursery there are no signs, there is no "welcome table", or "greeting area". There's just a bunch of unmarked plants all around. So we walked over to a group of shipping crates were there seemed to be a few people mulling about to ask for some help. We eventually find one that looked to be set up as some sort of office that had two gentlemen inside having a conversation. One was seated at a desk and the other was wearing a sun hat, and had dirty gardening gloves in his hand. Both ignored us. Thinking they were having a conversation I waited what seemed to be a respectful amount of time before I tried to get their attention. Ignored. I walked closer and tried to get their attention again and this time the gentleman with the gardening gloves looked my way. I told him we were looking for someone to help us, he asked me what we were looking for, I told him, and he just pointed down the row of plants and "told" is where they were. Then went back to his conversation. Needless to say we never found those plants and even if we had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is marked with a price, so finding them wouldn't have actually been that helpful. Eventually we went looking for someone ELSE to help us. A man drove up on a cart, and I flagged him down and told HIM what we were looking for. He too pointed to a general area on the OTHER SIDE of the complex. When I asked him if he wouldn't mind SHOWING us he shook his head and told us that they were closing. I looked at my watch (knowing that they closed at 5pm) and it was ONLY 4:30!!! Rather than argue I thanked him and walked off. We walked over to the general area he had pointed and there were rows of plants. We looked, and then the SAME gentleman on the cart drove up and for a split second I thought he had come to ACTUALLY help. But he ignored us and started to walk past. I flagged him down and had to REMIND him what we were looking for (aloe Vera) and he pointed to a bunch of plants that definitely looked like succulents, maybe even an aloe plant they sure didn't look like any Aloe Verai had ever seen. He then reminded us AGAIN that they were closing. So we left. We didn't get a single plant on our list. And went to Home Depot. Where we got plenty of help and everything we were looking for. Vineland Nursery sure LOOKS great, with a big selection. That doesn't do anybody any good if no one can find anything, and if nothing has a price on it. read more
