I had such a great meal at Tapeo. Everything we ordered was seriously delicious. It's one of those places where every single dish hits, nothing felt like a filler or something just thrown on the menu. The flavors were bold and everything just worked. The vibe was laid-back and the staff was super friendly. I still keep thinking about the veal & roasted marrow dish, it was insanely good and definitely a standout of the night. And they didn't skimp on the bone marrow either, which I really appreciated. Just a really solid, satisfying meal from start to finish.

So I think this is the sister restaurant to the more popular and critically acclaimed Tapeo. I think they have the same menu. The food here was really, really good. I would recommend both spaghetti dishes, that come out in paella pans. The other top is our a mix of Spanish and Italian and French, but the food is creative and very well prepared. The lamb on a skewer was very well cooked, to a perfect medium rare. I thought the desserts were also great: note that the ice cream sandwich is actually quite large and can comfortably served two. We weighed the idea of coming back for a second night in a row, but there are just so many good restaurants in Barcelona. Last time my wife came here with her family, they went to the original Tapeo two nights in a row. The single best dish here is the bread pudding. I hope you can try it. Our server, Said, was very friendly and accommodating, even though English was not his first language. We went early, around 5 PM. They showed me their reservation log, which was impressive: for a Wednesday night, they were fully booked during peak time around 7:30 or 8 PM. When we left, people were starting to trickle in.

This restaurant was odd the beaten path for us, but my sister came here on her previous trip and wanted to come again. This restaurant was on an alleyway, almost like a pub/bar. It was pretty empty when we got here, likely because it was an odd time, around 3-4pm. Well, I was glad we made the trip here. The food was so good! I personally love foie gras and when I saw there was a foie gras burger for 9 euros, I had to get one. The burger was cooked medium and was super juicy. The foie gras was such a good size, I couldn't believe my eyes! I almost ordered another one just because it was such a great deal! I'd say the next best thing was the sea bass ceviche. After the burger, the ceviche was great, it was the perfect amount of tartness and honestly, I have never had sea bass in ceviche, but it was great! The beef skirt steak was really tender as well. Out of everything we had, the one that was a bit underwhelming was the sea urchin shrimp dish, that was kinda like paella but not the same grain. It was a bit salty and I didn't taste the sea urchin much. Overall, had a great meal. Would come back if I'm ever in Barcelona!

Delicious Catalan style food! The patata bravas here are legit, a bit saucy but delicious. We also ordered the steak with chimchurri that was cooked to perfection. The Catalan noodles and seafood was my favorite and it was so much food we had to take some back to our airbnb. When I'm back in the area I will return!

We ordered the rabbit, lamb shank, Iberian pork ribs, pulpo. Best was the pork ribs!

I can not recommend this place enough, it was my favorite meal by far during my week long trip to Barcelona. The food is absolutely fantastic! As someone who basically only ate tapas for a week, this restaurant had the most diverse options and everything came out perfectly cooked. We tried the patatas bravas, an eggplant dish with lime, croquettes, a steak dish and a burrata dish with tomatoes. The eggplant dish was so interesting and different. It was just so unique from anything I have ever eaten. The patatas bravas were definitely the best of all the ones I had all week and the tomatoes with the burrata were so incredibly fresh. The croquettes were also by far the best that I tried all week. The service here was better than any other restaurant I had visited during my trip. It was cute inside and they had a table or two outdoors.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

For an early dinner by Spanish time, we started with the croquettes. Crip and wonderful. Then the tenderloin which was taste as well, though we should have a sales what is on the top. It seemed like mostly a flavored fat. The tomato with toast was lovely. Soaked with natural tomato juice. The skewered prawns were the best. Get them. And we ended with coconut pudding. We grabbed the only table open when we arrived at 1 on a Monday afternoon. We saw a Cava Sangria (a first) and had to try-light and delicious! They also had Majou Beer (from Malaga) on draft which is hard to find outside of Malaga so had to have one. We ordered a couple of starters and a couple of what I'd say were bigger plates. The pork belly marinated in lime was tasty but the fresh Mackerel stole the show! The Truffled eggs with foie and mushrooms was finished table-side and was amazing. We missed that the Cuttlefish had squid ink-no matter, so light and exquisite-only complaint would be to have more cuttlefish. Service was engaged and friendly from start to finish. Taverna El Glop wraps you up in its warm, lively atmosphere the second you walk in. We were a group of four, and from start to finish, we had an awesome time. The open kitchen is a great touch -- you can watch the chef in action, which adds to the energy and makes the whole experience feel more connected and authentic. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was on point. The paella was rich and delicious -- exactly what we came for. The patatas bravas were crispy, creamy, and gone in seconds, and the shishito peppers were the perfect salty, snacky starter. Of course, we had to get a pitcher of sangria (okay, maybe two), which was fruity, refreshing, and just strong enough to keep things festive. The space itself has this great, rustic charm -- complete with checkered tablecloths and even an old cigarette machine near the bar (haven't seen one of those since I was a kid -- aren't those banned in the U.S. now?). I don't smoke -- smoking sucks -- but it added a bit of unexpected nostalgia and character. Service was excellent. I always make a point to be friendly, ask people their names, and introduce myself -- and that's usually met with warmth. It definitely was here. The staff were quick, kind, and seemed to enjoy the place as much as we did. Personally, I loved it. It's the kind of place you remember -- not because it's fancy or trendy, but because it's fun, flavorful, and full of heart. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
