Awesome shots! This place was small but offered a fun relaxed vibe. They have speciality shots including PB&J and starburst! They also had some games that you could sit and play at your table

I like this bar because it's super laid back, they don't try to cater to the Tampa bay influencer crowd. Lots of drinks to choose from. Also they maximized their outdoor space and the inside flows to the outside with a large window for people to sit at. Super dog friendly. Bartender was super attentive and let us change the basketball game on the TV. I'm only doing 4/5 stars because the the ambiance could be a bit better...it gives a dive bar atmosphere. Which is fine but for the price you're paying and the drinks you get it seems weird.

This is a club savor place and new for us so decided to stop in and check it out. Bartender was super cool. Great beer selection and an ok pub food menu. We got some honey sriracha wings which were really good! Cooked perfect and just the right amount of heat. A real solid pub with great people.

This place continues to reinvent itself. Not only has the name changed (formerly Sly Bar) but the look and feel of this cozy Kenwood watering hole has changed. They have a wide variety of beer on tap and by the bottle. From some nice high octane rich and meaty beers to lower price points (think PBR) - there seems to be something for everyone. Wednesday nights get busy as teams compete in trivia. They do a good job of having events and theme nights. With all that love, why not 5 stars? Because they lack seats. It's small. The sidewalk has been transformed into an extension of the bar: sidewalk tables barstools and a picnic table. Unfortunately, it's not a place to settle in for a long visit as seating is uncomfortable and limited. It is a fun neighborhood place to enjoy a drink.

Absolutely love this place!!!! It's a must visit!

A must visit! The margarita is a the best I've ever had. I realize this is a beer place, hence the name. However, the margarita was a wonderful surprise! I promise, you won't be disappointed! The inside is super fun and coast bikes right outside makes downtown minutes away. Owner, Amy, is amazing, personable and makes you feel very welcomed.

Found this little gem while doing some Christmas shopping on Central. Great draft and bottle selection. Had some tortilla chips with both salsa and beer cheese....it was delicious. More importantly, bartender is extremely friendly and they have TV's; 5 front of the house and 1 back of the house, along with 2 dartboards. Wish this place was in South Tampa. Will definitely be back!

Had a nice low key dinner at Taphouse tonight. Good service, beer, food, what more can you ask for.

Had dinner here with my wife tonight at Taphouse and found it to be a very pleasant experience. It's a bar that serves food. Plain and simple. Limited menu, sure, but enough variety for the kind of night out where you don't care what you want to eat as long as it comes with a beer. I like the sort of indoor/outdoor feel to the place, but can imagine it might get muggy during the summer. I didn't care, but that was me. I got the open face steak sandwich and she got the Korean tacos. Both came pretty quickly and tasted good. I think they do trivia here on Wednesday nights, so check that out if it's your thing. Definitely recommend if you're in that area.

Our favorites were the street corn croquetas and the Chipotle Roasted Snapper. They both had a perfect mix of flavors. The tuna tostadas were good but we didn't like the Smokey flavor with it. The green chickpea samosas were okay, not great in our opinion. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would come back if I was in the area again.

The concepts are similar, but not quite the same. Bar Mezzo is more cocktail forward, although it houses some of the same cocktails featured at intermezzo, including espresso based cocktails. It has one of the few espresso martinis in town that feature fresh brewed espresso. One of the best things about this bar is that it focuses on the art of cocktail making and features the bartenders as artisans. Every employee is the epitome of top of the line hospitality. Each cocktail on the menu is unique and you won't find it replicated locally. The menu is seasonal, so you can always try something new. It's the kind of place where you can say to the bartender "I'm feeling something gin based, maybe something blackberry flavored" and they will make you a unique cocktail based on what you're feeling, even if you don't know exactly what you want. During the month of December, they hold "miracle at mezzo"- a Christmas themed pop-up that was previously hosted at intermezzo. During the cooler months, weekends and during the Christmas popup, it's gets extremely crowded, sometimes forming a line out the door. Depending on the weather, they will open up the front garage style door for more standing space. You should expect a 30-37$ tab for two cocktails, or maybe 15-18$ if you catch a happy hour special.

We wanted an early dinner so we made…read morereservations for 5:15pm on a Friday - it was lovely and quiet at that time, but it got busier as we were leaving. It seems an ideal place to go with friends and order a variety of dishes to sample and share. We began with their signature Peruvian Ceviche with coconut and kafir lime (the non-spicy version for me - there is also an ají amarillo version you can get with a bit of a kick to it) and the Smoked Mussels Toast. The ceviche was served in a deceivingly small bowl that contained a generous amount of fish and it came with crispy plantain chips. The mussels toast is a dish I NEVER would have ordered myself, but I let my husband pick and it turned out to be my favorite surprise of the meal. Served on crispy toast points with salsa macha aioli and a green pepper adobo that worked beautifully together. I could not rave enough about this dish! (Just try it! You'll thank me!) Our next 2 small plates were the Pulpo a la Gallega and the Lollipop Lamb Chops - both incredible. The octopus had a lovely char, but was very tender. It was served with crispy and slightly spicy papas bravas. The lamb chops were served on a bed of pistachio butter - and yeah, it was AS amazing as it sounds. My only complaint is I wanted about 6 more lamb chops...I kid, I kid. But seriously, we will probably order 2 plates of these next time. Deliciously tender and again, had a lovely chargrilled taste to it. At this point, we were too full for any more savory small plates, but, there was just enough room for dessert! We tried the Guava Sorbet, topped with a rum and cream cheese fondant icing and pomegranate seeds. This was light, refreshing, surprising, and I would 100% recommend it to cap off a good meal if you want something a little sweet that isn't too heavy. We also ordered the Mini Churros, which were a little more indulgent, filled with a light custard cream, topped with a sweet and salty plantain and graham cracker crumble, and served with a dark bittersweet chocolate sauce and a tart passion fruit sauce. I don't typically love sauce with my churros, but both of these were so good we practically drank them like shots! For our first experience at Pulpo, it was fantastic! Looking forward to a return visit to try even more of their dishes and cocktails.

My vegan friend recommended Good Intentions, and I haven't had a nice vegan dinner in a while, so I decided to come see what this place was all about, in honor of my beloved Ethos. RIP. We make reservations, show up, park anywhere we can find in this wild, wild West portion of town, and start browsing the menu. It sounds absolutely delicious. We started off with the Southern Sriracha Crab Cakes (Hearts of palm and jackfruit crab cakes, sriracha pimento, Thai chili glaze, seitan bacon crumbles, pickled fresno, scallion, sesame). These were great. Very crispy, the inside was the spitting image of crab cake filler, and there was just enough Old Bay to really sell it. Spicy sauces and other elements made this quite the lovely little app. We also had the Crispy Brussels Sprouts (Dan Dan tahini, toasted cashews, pickled fresnos, scallion). Wow, this was good. Tahini was a great choice, the sprouts were crispy crispy, and the cashews added a wonderful little crunch. My main was the Kimchi Fried Rice (Crispy fried jasmine rice, scrambled JustEgg, kimchi, sweet soy reduction, fried crab balls, kewpie aioli, scallion, sesame seeds). Better than some of the non-vegan fried rices I've had in my life! Great rice with some nice crisp, flavorful but not too funky kimchi, a nice soy sauce, and a nice aioli to sauce things up a bit. I also got to try a bucatini bolognese of some sort that I can't find on the menu anymore. Maybe it was a special. But it was good. Really deceivingly real meat crumbles, a lovely sauce, and bucatini is one of my favorite noodles. Big fan. Overall, this was not a good vegan meal. It was a good meal. I love places like this. We started with the dip trio (beet hummus, olive tapenade, and babaganoush with fluffy pita triangles), which was fantastic. Each dip had an awesome flavor, especially the beet hummus. We also got the tahini, date, and cashew salad and loved it. My husband isn't a salad guy and said he'd only have a bite, but then he ate half. The rich and spicy tahini mixed with the sweet date, creamy cashew, and fresh/crisp salad was such a great flavor combo. I will note, they go heavy with the tahini on the salad, but we weren't complaining. I got the zataar salmon for my main. A deliciously spiced zataar crust on top of a delicately flaky salmon made for a wonderful meal. My husband got the kafta en croute, which were ground lamb/beef meatballs surrounded by a flaky pastry and topped with pomegranate over a tahini sauce. I kept stealing bites (which was fine, there was plenty to share) it was so good and such a unique entrée! For drinks, they have uniquely spiced cocktails and mocktails. The drinks took longer to arrive than the food, but they were worth the wait. We were too stuffed for dessert, but next time we want to try their tiramisu (made with Turkish coffee and cardamom). We had a wonderful meal and will be back! The sad thing was that half the restaurant was empty. We think it's a unique addition to DTSP and is definitely worth checking out.
