It was 4:45 PM on a Friday. Upon returning from a walk I did a couple of jobs outside and then couldn't find my keys when I was ready to go inside. I knew I had left them on top of the laundromat in the garage. I was sure someone had stolen them. I called the company that installed my special security lock and found out they work Mon-Thursday only. No emergency number! Then I called Tapia Locksmith. I needed into my house and I needed to rekey the door. Jesus arrived about 20 minutes later. I told him my story and he started asking me questions about where I had been, etc. He looked all around the washer, then went outside to the walkway where I keep my garbage cans. I told him I had taken a large cardboard box, 4' X 3,' out there. It was full of packing styrofoam. He dug down to the bottom of the box and came up with the keys in his hands! I was overjoyed. We just moved into our new home in Healdsburg CA from Washington, D.C. and we needed locks rekeyed and 11, yes eleven sliding door locks installed. Val came recommended to me by our home security guy. I called and he was so helpful that I insisted he do the job even though he had to charge me a travel fee (he's in Marin, I'm in Sonoma). He was my only personally referred locksmith. He sent me photos of the patio locks for my approval, was prompt, professional, did an amazing job in some pretty tight places (one lock he installed while crouching in the bathtub!) The job a lot took longer than he estimated but he insisted on the quoted amount, even after I told him that I will pay for all the time he worked. Not encouraging. I guess a large Majority of the 5stars are fake not even a single 4star rating too good to be true .I should have known better. When I called these people at 8:50pm after being locked out of my house, the person I talked to said someone would call me in a couple of minutes. Well after an hour I heard nothing from them.I called back and now they don't answer their phone. I continued to call other ads on yelp to find Better Locksmiths call me back right away! I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I am thankful that I had a warm place to stay while I waited over 2 hours to get back into my home! So much for false rating.. read more

I accidentally locked myself out of my new house this evening. No luck with the first three locksmiths that I called. Two said they wouldn't be able to help me until the next day, and the third never returned my call. Then I noticed Tapia Locksmith's listing. Refreshing to encounter someone who is honest, personable, quick to respond (here in less than 15 min.) and was able to penetrate a difficult lock for me. I locked myself out of my apartment, and called a service that relayed me to Tapia Locksmith. Val (Tapia) showed up in less than thirty minutes, and I was back in my living room within 15 minutes from the time he showed up. He was on time, courteous, hardworking and easily fixed an old lock I thought would have to be replaced. He also brought a clean drop cloth for his tools to protect my hardwood flooring. Stellar service, arrived on time (texted before to let me know he was on the way) cut a new chip key for my vehicle, tested all systems.
