The Taro milk tea is absolutely delicious. I get it mixed with both big Boba and baby Boba. Great experience every time I go there and the service is quick with a friendly staff. The vibe is positive and upbeat and the store is really clean, definitely a place to meet up and chat and have fun. The only thing I wish they made some slight changes on is the meals, they do not match the ones at any of the other tapex's that I've been to. I love boba and have been going here for a while, it's one of my favorite boba places. I went this past Saturday with my sister and got the Thai tea with mini boba, super delicious. There was some confusion with running my card but a receipt printed out so we assumed it went through. My sister and I grabbed our drinks and went out to my car. We probably sat in my car about seven minutes and were about to leave when someone knocked on my window...it was one of the girls who rang me up. I was like wtf. She said my card didn't go through and wanted to run it again, I followed her back inside and they re-did the transaction and it went through this time. I have no problem paying for my purchases, it was definitely an odd experience though. I have never had someone knock on my car window before or try and track me down in a parking lot lol. I used to work in a similar business and usually when something went wrong and a transaction didn't go through we would just count it as a loss. Mistakes happen. I would never have tried to chase someone down and would definitely not have come up to their car. Overall the food is really good, the workers are very nice and quick. Just a very weird experience but I'll probably go back because I am a boba whore. read more

Came here today with my mom for an early Mother's Day dessert after eating at Macaroni Grill. I ordered one of each of the following drinks.....a large milk tea with boba, a large oolong green tea milk tea with boba and a large Earl Grey milk tea with boba. I clearly stated all of them are milk teas with boba. When the girl who was helping us repeated our order, the blenders in the background was going on so I couldn't quite here her but figured she got our order right cuz I've never had problem here before. I get my order and noticed one of the drinks was not a milk tea. I flagged the girl over and said that all the drinks were supposed to be milk teas. She said that she can quickly fix it and I was okay with her doing this until she snaps back at us by saying "well the next time I repeat your order, make sure you say oolong milk tea instead of oolong green tea!" (on the milk tea menu it says oolong green tea and yes I did say oolong green tea milk tea!) I've gone here a couple of times and both times I have got milk tea green tea with Boba. Before I started going here, I used to go to the bubble tea place in downtown Oceanside. This place is 100 times better than bubble tea and I can safely say I will never return to the downtown one ever again. Now I'm not hundred percent sure, but I'm fairly certain they at least make the boba fresh because they seem to make everything else fresh at this location. That to me is a huge plus. I love boba, but it's kind of hit or miss; this place hits it! I have had several drinks of theirs before, and this was actually the place where I first tried boba. I recently had their hot almond milk tea and it was DELICIOUS! The best I've ever had, although I could've gone with a little more boba than was given. The workers here are always very friendly and the shop itself is adorable, with games and a huge TV to watch whatever quirky thing they have playing. Really love the atmosphere at this place. My family really loves Boba and we try all the Boba locations pretty much every where we go! Tap ex has such a great atmosphere, they have games you can play and even run XMC in the background on the TV, lol. The employees are always very helpful and knowledgable about the different beverages. The one guy there Anthony, makes my Matcha snow perfectly, and my wife loves the coconut snow. At first, I was hesitant to try this place because of the reviews but, in the end, I decided to check it out for myself. I am very happy I did so. When I got to the store, there was a line, but the staff handled it well. I received friendly customer service from the cashier who helped me better understand the menu and even suggested a drink based on flavors I told her I liked! I ended up ordering a taro-coconut flavored smoothie with tapioca pearls and waited less than I expected given the amount of people ahead of me. The environment was different for a boba shop. More modern and streamlined. The big screen was playing kpop videos which entertained me while I waited for my drink. Sure, if you're going to compare this shop to the boba places down south, it wouldn't do so well, but it is the best choice in north county. Saves me gas and time, and I still get great boba (way better than bubble tea, that's for sure). read more

Went here today later afternoon with my husband and his little sister and we heard good things about this boba shop so we decided to try it instead of bubble tea in downtown oceanside, big mistake obviously. I ordered the taro milk tea, then changed my mind 2 seconds later and wanted the taro icey. I recieved the taro milk tea but shrugged it off thinking they were sidetracked. I love taro usually but it was disgusting here. Luke warm and full of ice. And to make things worse the boba was hard not chewy and soft like it should be. My first time here , i went to get a Vietnamese coffee and was so excited for it . The girl who helped me was a little confused with the register . I just assumed she was new . I asked for a large and she even repeated it back . When my coffee was ready she gave me a small . So I kindly asked if she charged me for a large? The other girl who didn't help me was at the register rudely answered that I was charged for a small. So I asked if I could please get the large that I ordered and that I would pay the difference . They just took it back with out saying a word . I wasn't upset they messed up I didn't get why they were upset . So when they gave me my new drink I noticed a change in the color . I didn't taste it until I got to the car (I had my infant with me ) . I was so disappointed this was not a coffee . It literally just tasted like sweet milk . I would have gone back if I didn't have my baby . It was too much work to get in and out again with his car seat . My overall experience there deserves just 1 star read more
