This wonderful new banquet facility just opened at the already-established Sweet Water Country Club. We booked it for my mom and her sister's (they're twins!) 50th birthday celebration. The new construction is beautifully designed, wonderfully decorated in warm tones, yet understated enough to not compete with any decorations you might want to bring in, for say a wedding. However, for our purposes, we did not have to bring in much. Since it was a birthday party, we just used balloon clouds as centerpieces and brought in a custom-made birthday banner, and that we pretty much it. The staff was amazing: attentive, but not overbearing. Their helpfulness was sincere as was their obvious pride in the new establishment. Alice, the event manager, was a gem. So accommodating and easy to work with, it was truly a pleasure. Ozzie, the chef was very cool, and prepared a selection of sumptuous entrees for us to enjoy. We ended up using the DJ they recommended. His name was Mickey, I don't know the name of him company, as my step dad took care of booking the music. I a big proponent of good music making or breaking a party. And this party was a blast. Mickey was fun, and more importantly, played an eclectic mix of music that catered to all the generations in the room - and yes there were great grandparent there. The finesse in which he blended everything from Glenn Miller to Usher to The Outfield to Alabama was amazing; no jarring transitions, everything was really smooth. The very best compliment I can give them is the following: A very dear family friend came up to me at the end of the night and exclaimed, "This place is just fantastic. We have to think of a reason - any reason - to book it again!" Amen to that!

Last year we sat at the bar on a whim and the bartender, who was here tonight was fabulous! We had a great meal. Tonight we sat near the bar with reservations. The ambiance is beautiful, the service is warm and excellent. We had amazing drinks, the spicy hibiscus margaritas and the "not so old fashioned" were both top of the notch. Was offered the special soup, roasted red pepper, cauliflowers soup was ....perfect. The brussel sprout appetizer was stellar. I had the special Mahi Mahi with watermelon "salsa", tajin rice and green beans. Each bite was incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. My husband had the 14 oz strip steak with broccoli and smashed fingerling potatoes. We had no room for dessert but the ice cream was calling for me.. next time.

I decided I'm no longer gonna stop here on my way home after I paid almost $14 for a few tiny fried cauliflower balls. It's rare for me to leave a restaurant hungry and that's happened a couple times after having been at Jamison's. New York prices. French portions. They charge 20 to 30% more than anybody else and they're out deep in the woods with nothing spectacular but everything good. Perhaps because they're the only show in town they can get away with this, but I'll drive further next time.

So many flavors to choose from. I got the sweet and spicy Thai flavor and it was worth it. The bartender was also our server since we sat at the bar. I asked her about Garage beer and she gave me a small glass of it. YUM! Had that to top off a good ole American lunch. Very quaint and they have food for everyone. From vegan to meat eaters and everything in between including kids. (Dining area set apart from bar so kids aren't in the bar area). Definitely a place you should try!

The bread component was extremely soggy & non existent. Overall the soup desperately needs help. *Bleu Cheese: straight outta the Restaurant Store and unremarkable. These wings are sensational, and an elevated bleu cheese would have taken them to new heights! The cook on the wings was exquisite! New place for us now for great wings! Great craft beer selection, if that's your thing. I was happy to find Garage Beer Lime ‍ on tap. The staff was sensational. I am already looking forward to my next trip, but Im gonna bring my own bleu cheese. #rushieeats

It was 100 degrees out, so we had no interest in that. While I was parking, my friend attempted to get us a table. The hostess said she had a high top available in the bar. My friend said that was fine. A few minutes later, I came inside and my friend was still waiting to be sat. Multiple customers came in after us and were seated immediately. My friend had to ask the hostess if she was going to seat us! She said yes and then proceeded to seat other people. Unreal. Then another guy came out and asked us if we were being helped and we told him what happened. Then the hostess showed back up, he said something to her, and then she finally took us to the table. Listen, I was a server for many years. I get the ins and outs of a restaurant. All you have to do is communicate with the customers. If she was waiting for the table to be cleaned off, or if there was some other reason for the delay, then just have the courtesy to tell us and not ignore us. Anyway... Once we were seated, our waitress greeted us relatively quickly. We ordered the blueberry cornbread, the turkey blt and the falafel wrap (we shared all 3). All the food was delivered in a timely manner, and the presentation was nice. Out of everything, the cornbread was the best. My friend loved all of the items, but I did not. Falafel wrap was ordinary. Nothing special at all. The fries were crisp and tasty. And ceasar salad was ok (we got a side salad in place of the fries for one of the meals). The BLT had so much potential, if it weren't for the bacon. Let's just say it didn't taste like bacon. I don't want to be too gross, but it honestly tasted the way that a barn or zoo smells. It had this dirty, nasty flavor to it that totally turned me off and made me lose my appetite. The cornbread was amazing, but everything else was lackluster. I posted some pics, so be sure to take a look. Oh, and before we were finished eating, some guy came and attempted to take our plates from us without asking if we were finished! It was weird. The place itself is cute, but very small and cramped. I felt a little claustrophobic in the bathroom. It was super easy to pay the bill, as they provide a QR code and take Apple Pay. Would I go back? Heck no.
