I've been to Taps numerous times and I'm always looking forward to checking out any new items on the menu!! This time we came for Happy Hour and we love everything we have tasted. The Waygu sandwich is a lovely addition on the menu. The beef is juicy and the bread is toasted nicely. I hope it will stay on the menu since it's so delicious!! The beer tiramisu is definitely a must try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the location that it's by the river so I can always feels the breeze.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is always great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great place for anytime of the day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We love Taps! Great beer list and the perfect brewery food menu. The chicken Caesar wrap was great and we loved the salt and pepper fries. We sat outside and there is a lovely view of the water. Jessica was our waitress and she was awesome!! Thanks girl

This was my first time going to this popular Petaluma eatery! We were seated right on the edge of the river outside, and the view was killer. Out server was super sweet, although the service was a little slow. Otherwise it was a great experience! The beer list is extensive which is great! I got the Cooperage Amber Ale, which was delicious. We started with the buffalo cauliflower, and it was genuinely an 11/10. The cauliflower was cooked perfect, and wasn't mushy at all. A must-try if you go here! For my entree I ordered the steak caesar, which I enjoyed and would probably order again. The steak was seasoned well and paired great with the salad. It wasn't overdressed and was overall a great meal. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant at least once!

Always a great beer selection, especially around Oktoberfest. Good mix of local beers. Food is okay, best off with burgers. Good wings.

Came in on a Monfay afternoon. Place wasn't empty but wasn't packed. It was really nice and air conditioned inside but they also have a spacious patio on the river. The service was great, both the bartender and I'm assuming the manager checked on us regularly. If you're not a drinker, they have amazing sodas by Hanks and the root beer is on Draft!! But their selection of brewery beers is fantastic. GET THE SMOKED CHICKEN WINGS. You will not regret it. They were so hot and so perfectly smoked. Served naked but with bbq and ranch/blue cheese on the side. Can't wait to try other things in the menu.

We ordered the Shawn Won Fries to share. It had sautéed sirloin, caramelized onions & pepper jack cheese, topped with thousand island dressing. It was very tasty and enough for 3 people. We sat outside and the view was of the river. It was very nice. My only complaint was that they started I think a grill and the smoke was coming in where we sat. It was stifling. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Shawn won fries are a must if you go. The outdoor patio overlooks the water and its a perfect place for beers and apps. Service is fast & friendly.

I had been to the block before about a few years earlier and remember it being lively and fun filled with a handful of food options and a packed bar. This time, the establishment was almost completely empty with only two food options: the barbecue or the pizza. Both menus were extremely limited in terms of available options. I went with the barbecue platter and my boyfriend went with two slices of pepperoni pizza. While the pizza was decent, but nothing to write home about, I would never order that barbecue platter again. First of all, the mac & cheese that it came with was more like overcooked buttered noodles without seasoning. The pulled pork and the coleslaw tasted old as if it had been sitting out at room temp. I also thought it was weird that they gave me potato chips as another side, but to eat their own. The only thing I actually enjoyed were the side of pickles and who knows if those were even made or from a jar. It was cold outside, so we decided to sit under the enclosed portion of the building and flies swarmed us - they were everywhere and we were continuously swatting our hands around to try to get any relief. It was miserable experience and as soon as we were done eating, we just wanted to leave. I can see why people were not here after the disappointment my boyfriend and I felt.

This is a shared outdoor event space with restaurants, bars, and stage for live music. There was a good amount of people there, probably gets busier during events. I asked the bar about the brewery and was told there was currently only one selection from them on tap which was disappointing. It wasn't the most comfortable place to enjoy a beer either. Even if there had been more to experience, I probably wouldn't have bothered going back. One other note, the restrooms are singles and with so many people there was a long wait to use one. I'd imagine that'd be worse when busy.

As a combined beer garden and pizza place, it features a huge outdoor area with plenty of spaced-out seating and a dedicated play area for kids, including foosball. The food is a major draw, with pies made by SF's own Pizza Hacker. It is easily some of the best pizza in the Bay Area; we tried several varieties, including the Margherita, Pepperoni, and the Ohio. They even offer a good quality gluten-free option, which was great for my buddy. Their drink menu is equally diverse, featuring an excellent selection of beer, wine, and mocktails, ensuring there is something for everyone. While the setting is excellent, the service can be a bit spotty. The restaurant gets extremely busy, and at times it feels like the staff is simply stretched thin. We found the table servers to be much better than the cashiers at the windows, who could be a bit unfriendly. One cashier even insisted he had confirmed our order correctly when I had to correct what was actually brought to us--definitely a case of poor active listening skills. They would have received 5 stars if it weren't for the cashiers taking orders. Overall, if you go in knowing it leans heavily toward a family-oriented crowd and can get very crowded, it's a wonderful place to enjoy great pizza and the outdoors. Just be patient with the parking, as it can be a bit tricky to find a spot.

We ordered fries and a veggie plate to start and the fries that showed up were covered in paprika and soggy like they were baked. Extreme premium prices for beyond mediocre food. The hummus was laughable and ranch was awwwful. We ordered a following round of food with chicken strips, a burger and more fries. This time the fries were completely different. They were deep-fried and crunchy (definitely came from a bag) but a completely different french fry from what we received on our first order. Still the same foul Ranch and the ketchup that was out in squeeze bottles was beyond disgusting it was thin, sour and bright red with tin flavor. Chicken strips were fine, they 100% came from a bag and were consistent with hundreds of other restaurants that purchase the same ones. We asked the server if we could have our burger cut in half and they snapped that they were too busy to do that. The people next to us and across from us had burgers that were split in half... And the burger was a complete joke. Their "special sauce" is just cheap mayonnaise mixed with some of that cheap ketchup (that is probably from a huge can from the top corporate food distributor.) People listing that this is one of their favorite burgers are really missing out on some experiences in life, or they're eating them after their third double IPA... It's a beautiful place, great yard area. But the food needs to open a new document and start again. I can't believe how much it cost for how horrible it was. I'm in shock.

But the style of the restaurant left much to be desired. More below. The way this place works is: check in, wait to be seated, then once you have your table you can go stand in a separate line to order food and another line to order drinks. This aspect of the restaurant I think could improve it's a little clunky. 3 stars for this aspect of it. Wait on an early Sunday afternoon was 40+ minutes for 6 people to be seated. Luckily there's a cool surf/gear store next door to explore with tons of awesome items. As mentioned above after getting seated, it's another ~5-10 minutes to order drinks at the bar and ~5-10 minutes to stand in line to be able to order food. Then -20 minute wait for the food once ordered. All in all I don't think I was a fan of this set up. Fish and chips were okay/pretty good but nothing I would write home about. Oddly enough I think our table of 6 ordered five orders of fish and chips because we were that excited to try them out for ourselves. We've always wanted to try their S.F. location by the beach but it's always super packed. We also ordered a few Chips and salsa and guacamole. Salsa and guac were super bland, definitely would not recommend the salsa at all to my worst enemy. The beer selection on draft was extensive and bartenders were super friendly. Parking could be A LOT better -- we had to find parking all the way down the busy high speed road. They have their own small parking lot on site but it was packed to the brim. Originally I had this listed as a 4-star review because it truly is a nice layout and location with potential, but after writing this review I think it's more realistically a solid 3.5 star experience. Decided to keep the 4 to be fair because staff is super friendly and the layout and bones of the location is actually really big and nice, but it all just felt a little too clunky to be honest. Side note: kudos to staff who acted swiftly and super professionally to a super scary medical emergency that happened to someone near us at the bar. Paramedics had to be called and it was handled well.
