Food here was amazing and staff was very courteous. One the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. I tried Pina Colada, chips and guac and Camarones Al Mojo Ajo and flan. My partner had veggie burrito and tres leches cake. Even sides served with Shrimps were delicious. All the items were really tasty. Server was very friendly made sure we liked our food and overall very attentive. Definitely an amazing experience and would recommend to others. On the side note Google maps takes you to neighbouring location, so it took us some time to find the place however it was definitely worth it. read more

Someone pinch me because I just found a REAL Authentic Taquería in Massachusetts. No more driving to Pawtucket for my real Mexican food fix. This is a Taqueria. They have Horchata, Huevos con Chorizo, Ceviche, etc. I tried the Pastor Tacos and a Steak Sope. The tacos were delicious with just onion and cilantro as they should be so the flavor of the meat stands out. The Sope is a homemade thick corn masa filled with perfectly grilled steak. Like most transplants that moved to Mass I've been disappointed in Mexican food here. We finally have the real deal...... BTW. If anyone complains about slow service. I recommend going to Taco Bell or Chipotle. Everything is made to order and is fresh. Deliciousness should always be above speed. read more

A surprise treat today at Taqueria La Estrella. The service was fantastic. The server manning the counter listened and gave suggestions, and he convinced me to try beef tongue for the first time. After he brought me my order, he wanted me to let him know what I thought and seemed genuinely interested in my feedback. While, I would already have come back for the food, the friendliness of the staff sealed the deal. The tacos were great - the chicken taco was my favorite. They came with slices of radish and lime wedges as well as 2 salsa choices - a mild tomatillo and a spicy red salsa. The tacos also came with chips & salsa, which were fresh. Being from the West Coast, the one thing that has eluded us since we moved here is good Mexican food. Thankfully, our search concluded once we walked into this little gem. I decided to try the carne asada, al pastor and lengua tacos. The flavors were on point and, even though it can go wrong, the lengua here was tender and really flavorful. The staff were also extremely friendly and would check in regularly to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. They gave great recommendations and even offered samples of their agua fresca which was also great. I love this place! It's a small and quaint but when you walk inside the walls are adorned with lovely traditional art and soothing Spanish music. The food is absolutely amazing! Very authentic and very reasonably priced! Everything was very fresh and tasty, I got the chicken burrito bowl and the chicken was very juicy. They also serve you fresh chips and salsa upon seating! Parking is a bit tight in the front but there's off street side parking Ambience: clean and a half dozen tables to sit and enjoy the food. There's a large menu at the counter where you go up and order Service: people are very nice and accommodating. We wanted extra tortillas and they didn't up charge us. Food: we got the steak fajitas and churros. The food was amazing. The steak with nicely seasoned and there was plenty of vegetables to put in the tortilla. The meal automatically came with a little bit of guacamole as well as the usual rice, beans, and sour cream. Everything went well together. The churros was a great dessert. Visited Taqueria La Estrella for the first time tonight. I'm not sure what I expected but my expectations have been blown away. I'm a huge taco fan and they really bring super authentic tacos to Milford! If you think you'll get a hard shell or big flour tortilla you'll be in for a little surprise. Authentic tacos are usually made with smaller soft corn tortillas. Estrella delivers on those perfectly, balancing the consistency and flavor to pair perfectly with whatever meat you order inside! The meats are incredibly flavorful. So far I tried the steak, pastor (a pork), chorizo, and shrimp. Each one shined with its own savory flavors. Topped with cilantro and onion, and add either their hot or mild salsa... Perfect. Service and staff was super friendly. Taqueria La Estrella is our favorite Mexican food restaurant in the area. My wife and son are Pescatatian (fish and veggie, no meat). Until recently, La Estrella did not have any vegetarian options on their menu. After providing some feedback after our last pickup, someone from the restaraunt called me and asked for additional guidance for how to update the menu to offer vegetarian friendly options for burritos/tacos/quesadillas. They updated the online ordering menu less than 24 hrs after talking to me and they now have veggie friendly options. Great sign of good customer service, and their food is awesome, so please go check them out! read more

Second time here. Nice little dining room. This is a good little taqueria. Simple but, delicious at an approachable price point. Chips & salsa were fresh with a nice amount of spice. 1st time I ordered Tres Tacos with a Mexican Coke. This trip I went with the Al Pastor Pork Burrito. No need to go to Chipotle anymore with this place. Better tasting, ingredients made by hand and most importantly they don't charge you an arm & leg for guacamole. I took my housecleaner's family out for lunch today and there is only one place he recommended we go: Taqueria La Estrella. We purchased thirty tacos, bought a case of Pacifico's went up to Louisa lake, put our feet in the water, taco in left hand, Pacifico in right hand, and voila! Lunch! I'm really disappointed because we were so excited to try a New Mexican place. On the plus side, the guacamole was very good, which is why it gets a two and not a one. I am so glad I finally tried La Estrella, as I picked up my pizza from across the road a few times, I saw La Estrella fill an empty spot. I made a note to eventually try it, and it was an excellent decision. Friday (Valentines day family date) night takeout had me sick of Chipotle! Came to La Estrella with the wife and 2 kids, the service right off the bat was top notch! Our waitress was helpful and legitimately nice. She helped us with a few questions and did not rush us at all. We ordered some burritos, cheese dip, and kids tacos for the kids. When the good came out it was delicious!! It just tasted fresh and was full of excellent tastes, they cook came out to make sure we got what we wanted (I always order without onions and they made sure I got it that way.) The service continued to impress, and when my daughter asked 500 questions they helped and even let her try Horchata, which she was asking about. When she liked it they send her home with a cup. I feel like I am not doing their kindness and helpfulness full justice. But they were AWESOME, I am so glad we came and I will be back to dine in and for Friday night Takeout! read more

I am so bummed to give this place three stars, because I read the reviews and got excited to try it. The food is good, but just that. I found it to be very bland, actually, and it seemed that the flavor of the corn tortillas overwhelmed everything else. I also felt that the portions were small for the price. We ordered two tacos, the carne asada and the churros and it cost over 30 dollars. The chicken taco and the the lengua taco were probably the smallest tacos I've ever seen. Carne asada also felt a little small for 16 dollars. All that being said, the churros were so so good. I'd probably come back just for those. read more

Since moving to the Boston area from the west coast, I have been searching patiently for a good Mexican place (and no offense Boston but you have been disappointing in the Mexican food department). Well I have finally found a place that doesn't disappoint! La Estrella is hands down the best and most authentic Mexican street food that I've found in the greater Boston area. The suadero tacos are my favorite - just lay on a little salsa roja and you are a in for a real treat. Rice and beans as well as the chips and salsa are on point. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable dining space, and never overly busy or crowded. My only comment for improvement is that I do wish they would have pickled radishes and carrots as a side/garnish. Either way, I recommend this place highly and I look for every excuse I can to stop in for lunch! read more
