Read positive reviews and was excited to try this out but was left disappointed on many levels. Seating area was uncomfortably warm. Service was inefficient and forgot sides and 2 out of our 6 tacos. Seemed overwhelmed and not focused. Food was very bland from chips and salsa to the tacos. Usually not an issue with Mexican food. Beef taco tasted like boiled meat and no sear or seasoning to help it stand out. Same for pork and chicken tacos. Cafe space is ok (other than hot and the phone ringing loud without being answered several times) and the menu is fairly priced but overall will not return or recommend. read more

My wife and I recently found this Mexican restaurant a couple years ago. Well, since we first walked into the restaurant you look inside and you see there isn't many seats in the restaurant area and then you also said yourself man they must not do much of a business oh that's false, first of all since Paula and I started going who is my wife? We sat in there for a nice Mexican food, and we will tell you that the food they give you for your money that you spend on. It is well worth it. We leave ourselves about $33 including a tip to good size meals. The food is delicious the service you get is fantastic from every waiter and waitress there. As I stated at the beginning of this, when you walk in the restaurant, a small Insigne, yet they do a lot of takeouts and I can see that oh my soul. The waiters and waitresses are all very friendly. The food they make is very delicious and it's well worth the money because to me that not over price it's just right this has become my wife and I favorite Mexican restaurant so we would highly recommend them to you. read more

Taqueria la Estrella is soooo good. This was our first time here, thanks to Yelpers. And they delivered. We started with the ceviche and then I had fajitas and he had carne asada. Holy . This place is amazing! I frequently stay in Milford when I go to concerts at Great Woods. If you do too, I can't encourage you enough to give this place a try on your way too or from the show. The tacos were fantastic. Not only was the flavor of the meat great and the texture of the meat near perfect, the amount of meat was incredibly generous. With the stuff spilling out of my 3 tacos, I had enough filling for 5. With 3 tacos and an incredibly tasty horchata, I was stuffed. The owner was wonderfully friendly as well. The food here is amazing. I'm so sad we didn't find it before now! The tacos are REAL tacos- small corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. Their pico is AMAZING and so is their guac. My son used his tortilla chips to pile the guac into his mouth (he's under 2) and won't always eat guacamole. My husband also likes the burritos here. I always get the fish tacos and they are so good. Go here if you actually like Mexican food. read more

The one star is based solely on service. Their food may be very good for all I know but I was unable to order. Perhaps a month after they opened we decided to try take out. After searching for some time we were able to find a picture of their menu online through a face book. Since I don't have social media it was difficult to read without it trying to get me to sign in. When we decided on our order we were unable to place it due to a major language barrier. I even spelled it for the lady and told her where it was located on the menu. Still, she did not understand. I live in a different state coming to visit some old friends, they told me about a new taco place in Milford. After visiting several times, this has been one of my favorites restaurants to go to. I usually get the beef tacos and the pork tacos (pastor). Both tacos have their own unique flavors and is seasoned well. I ordered the fried ice cream for desert and it was delicious. The dining area is filled with bright colors and the decor creates a welcoming atmosphere. The service has been great and friendly. I wish I had something like this in my home state. read more
