So expensive for a food truck. Beans are like soup and the quality is not there at all. Not my first choice at all.

We chose to sit at the bar and Kevin did a great job taking care of us. A quick drink and small plate dinner and the evening was perfect. So, lesson to learn: make a reservation if you want a table. The food and drinks are fantastic, and the reputation is well known. Absolutely worth a stop, especially with the warmer weather setting in; outdoor seating is really nice.

Found out tables were only available via reservation which I thought was a bit odd for a Mexican restaurant but we were offered a seat at the bar so we jumped on that. Inside the decor was festive with a number of Frida pictures and great wallpaper in the restroom. We ordered guacamole and tacos. The guacamole came out quickly and was tasty, with a slightly sweet twist due to the pomegranate seeds and chips just as I like them. I ordered the milwalke and manolos bam bam tacos. I preferred the bam bam because it was filled a bit more but I didn't love the mayo based sauce on either. I would've preferred that on the side or, even better, an offering of salsa instead. I would've loved to review their salsa but only heard about it as I was finished up and it was offered to the couple sitting next to us at the bar. I was excited to try here but there were a few misses during our visit so we'll head to other local restaurants when we're in the area for a more satisfying meal next time.

There are many dining options in the area, and I have recommended Senor Tomas to many friends over the years. Last night I had an unpleasant experience. I am a (somewhat) senior citizen at 67, and my GF recommended a few alternate places, but it was such a beautiful evening that I recommended that we go to ST and dine on the patio. We walked onto the patio and stood waiting to be seated. My GF has a problem with her foot, and standing and walking can be painful. I asked the waitress/hostess if we could please be seated. She said that someone would seat us. There were 12 or 14 tables and only 2 had people seated at them. We stood there waiting for maybe 5 or 10 minutes, and I finally decided to just seat ourselves (even if temporarily) at a small table with 2 chairs. After a few minutes, the Manager abruptly charged out of the restaurant door to our table with a very angry look on his face. He did not greet us, but instead said "Do NOT seat yourselves, if you do, you run the risk not being noticed or served at all". I corrected him and told him politely in a calm voice that we HAD asked to be seated, but were not, so we sat down. He did not apologize, but left if a huff. I guess the customer is NOT always right. I noticed that the Manager thanked other tables as they left, but he ignored us (fine) We completed our (great) meal, drinks and desert. The bill was over $100, and we tipped generously. Maybe the Manager was having a bad day, but he should not take it out on his customers. I am not sure if we will return to what was one of our favorite local restaurants.

The patio has lots of tables, seating and umbrellas but at the dinner time it's in a nice shade so even on the hottest day it's comfortable eating outside. We are heading to Nixon Park for Thursday night music, but realized that we would rather have a good meal from Señor Thomas, rather than a hotdog or chips from the food truck. We made a wise decision

We popped in on a whim on a recent Friday afternoon and were delighted to be seated on the patio. Our server so friendly and chatty! We only came for drinks and apps, but enjoyed everything. I had some kind of Mexican lager on tap that had a lime taste to it... so refreshing. My mom's paloma, which I had to try, as also tasty. For the apps we got the (recommended) groupers strips, and the crab cakes. I'd order both again for sure. Fresh tasting fish indeed. Not often we're in this area but I'd come back next time we are!

To start with the entire staff is fantastic! They all hit every Mark and work together as a team. Excellent fresh Grouper typically only found in the southeast! They get all of Their fish from Louisiana I was told by our server. The red snapper was also on point with freshness and flavors! I can't wait to go back to try other dishes and of course the key lime pie! It felt like we were in costal Florida without the traffic

It is also quite warm, but the kitchen is open to the dining area so that is to be expected. There is also patio seating available if you prefer to be outside however, it faces Grandview so traffic would be your view. We have been here a couple of times and we have never been disappointed with the food. As an added bonus, the breakfast items are available all day! We ordered the meat lovers skillet which was too much to finish even after not eating much all day and the steak chimichanga dinner which I could only eat half of. The food was flavorful and delicious. Our service was also great making sure our drinks were never empty and bringing chips and salsa refills when the basket was empty.

The inside is weird because it's broken up into small rooms with big openings in the walls, weird. I was given chips and salsa to start. The chips were a third the size of regular chips and seasoned, finally a chip that fits into the small salsa bowl. The salsa was very loose but tasty. I ordered a strawberry margarita and the steak burrito dinner. The menu is big but no combination plates. The strawberry margarita was not big on strawberry favor but it wasn't weak like a lot of places. The steak burrito dinner looked good when all the colors. The steak burrito was tasty with seasoned steak but they do it differently here because it's filled with steak, green peppers and mozzarella cheese and topped with a green sauce with shredded mozzarella. The beans were good with a mixture of whole beans and blended beans. The Mexican rice is always plain so I mix the beans and salsa into them which makes them really good. Overall it's a decent Mexican restaurant and not as authentic as other places but I had a nice lunch and the place had every seat taken.
