Close to our new house so I tried out this place. The parking is tight with less than 20 spots, so peak hours will be tough! The counter is easy to maneuver around and the clerk is friendly. Took about 10 minutes to cook our takeout meal- 2 carnitas tacos, 4 carne asada tacos , 4 chicken tacos and a carne asada plate. The chicken was dry dry dry! My boys could barely wash it down with water. The carne asada plate was a big thumbs up by my husband. The red sauce was spicy yet flavorful! He's a fan! The carne asada tacos weren't as much of a hit. I don't know if they got really dried out from chopping up, but it was not memorable. I gotta say, the chicken tacos were super moist, fish was flaky and neither tacos were dry. Birria tacos were superb and on Par with my favorite birria spot in Santa Ana "El Cabrito". The enchilada sauce was balanced with sweet, sour, and spicy tones. The chicken was a bit on the dry side, but the tortilla and cheese made up for it. I had high hopes for this place I went at 5pm on a Tuesday thinking tacos will be fresh since it's the taco Tuesday special. I was charged $1.25 per taco the cashier stated .25 is tax (I have never paid a 25% tax or ever heard of this rate before). I received 2 chicken tacos and 2 asada tacos. The chicken was very dry and old I checked on it. There was literally two tablespoons of chicken and a little onions with cilantro. The meat in the Asada tacos was cooked well just bland and lacking in meat. Overall when eating the tacos I felt like I was just eating mostly tortilla. To drink I bought a large Jamaica drink. Price is listed on the menu as four dollars however I was charged $4.50 assuming the .50 cents was tax again (a 12% tax seemed more fair than the 25%). The drink was subpar. Ultimately I believe this restaurant deserves two stars and that is being generous. Also a little tip if you wanna use your credit card you're going to be charged $1.00. FYI places cannot charge credit card fees, this goes against all merchant contracts. If you report this to any establishments merchant they would simply cancel their contract and they would no longer be able to accept credit cards unless they stop charging people. Merchants charge on average 2% from the price of transaction. Also, is it not illegal to charge someone more than what the listed price is on the board/menu? In conclusion the food was a disappointment, and trust was broken with the discrepancies in prices. Will not go there again. read more

I ordered extremely OVERPRICED $14 dollar carne asada nachos to go. The picture of their nachos shows that they put jalapeños on them which I love! Since I've never eaten here before I wanted to make sure they put jalapeños and the cashier lady said "THEY DONT" as I'm standing right under the menu that has a big azzz pic of the nachos with jalapeños. I told her and pointed to the menu picture and she said "those are old pictures " WTF? ... So I figured ok I'll just get some extra salsas on the side to spicen things up and give her a tip to hook me up with extra salsas. So when my order was ready I looked in the bag there was 1 green and 1 red salsa so I asked for one more of each she said 'that will be 1 dollar" I said "I'm only asking for 2 tiny cups" she said "they're .50 cents each" Remember that was my whole point of giving her a decent tip to avoid a salsa hoarding situation. So at this point I just grabbed my $14 dollar OVERPRICED nachos went to the car opened up the container, dug into a small box of chips that barley had any meat but they did have what appeared to be a half pound of chopped onions as the main topping. I dined here in person and really enjoyed the carne asada tacos ($1.75 each) so I decided to order take out during their Taco Tuesday deal ($1.25 each). If you dine in person, you will get free grill onions and peppers, but this wasn't included in my take out order. There's no salsa bar. The cashier will bring you a tiny container of salsa if you ask for it. However, I was really upset that in my takeout order of 14 tacos and order of chips, they only gave me 4 tiny containers of salsa and all of them were just half full. When I asked for more, they said it would cost $0.50 each. I've never been to a place that was so stingy with salsa. Usually there's a salsa bar with a unlimited supply.
