I've been coming here for years. The food is great, the owners are amazing and it is always very clean in there. Their service is above par and I am grateful for them. It's really sad because they're next to a laundromat so I figure a lot of the customers don't have very much money do the opposite of Robin Hood they steal from the poor. Just ordered a Carne Asada burrito and it was the smallest burrito for $12 I've ever had in my whole life I ordered it to go, but the thing was so small I just ate it inside real quick. It took me one minute to eat and I'm still hungry. My friend and I were told about this place,And so we decided to try it last Wed. We both got burritos , Mine was asada and hers was carnitas. I can't say enough good ,about how delicious mine was and she said the same We were just like wow It took us as long to find this great place. The meat was Perfectly cooked very tender.You could taste the flavor in the rice and the meat, We are definitely going back and this time I'm going to pay.I want to try everything. If I. Food is decent but waaay too overpriced for their portions. $20 (plus tax) for a fried tilapia plate is really expensive compared to other places in Tustin and Santa Ana. I was originally going to get that because it did look good when someone else got it, but because of the price I ended up going with a bowl of menudo instead. It was a super small portion for $15- I wasn't expecting anything crazy but it was average in taste & didn't even come with hominy, which is kind of disappointing. The broth was also really greasy, I left my spoon in for a few seconds and there was a chunk of fat solidifying around the handle. I should've taken a picture... Also, their street style tacos are $3.25 (plus tax) a piece! :/ I have no problem paying more for good food as long as it's well deserved, and I totally understand inflation-- but to overcharge on food that isn't super costly to make is kind of a bummer. Okay, first of all only reason why I'm leaving such a low review is only because of food handling! The cook preparing the food is touching everything bare handed. I observed him walking back and forth touching various things. And coming back to the front to prepare the burrito i ordered without washing his hands. Very unsanitary. As for the food. I got a chicharon burrito and it was delicious! Great flavor. Once they get it together as far as being sanitary and start using gloves to prepare their food I may comeback. But for now, staying away. Very unfortunate that the simple smallest thing such as using gloves can go a long way in the food industry. Oh and one more thing. There is black mold on the roof of their bathroom. They might wanna check that out before someone gets sick. read more

The Service was always Great. I have been going there at least once a week for the last 2 years to eat there while I buy other food every week and 2 times month I get their Menudo. This time the Menudo Meat Tasted and smelled that it was going bad and 2 weeks as well but I gave it a chance. I called to let the restaurant know and the guys gave me every excuse. Which is understandable who likes someone criticizing the food you make. I would not accept it either. I worked in a restaurant for 15 and Mother of 6 kids I know what it is to smell and taste of food going bad. After telling him and insisting he told me bring back the Menudo and I will never sell you Menudo again. Not the response when working in a restaurant with Customer Service. Never going back there. If you like Hot & Spicy , this is the place to go. I didn't like that they put salsa on Everything for you! I don't like hot So I had to Return my sopes even tho I said salsa on the SIDE ! My wife and I came here in the afternoon around 330. Pm , I ordered a chicharron Burrito and my wife, the mole plate First thing we noticed is that the restaurant was very clean. The employees were very nice very respectful and professional. It was easy to make a decision. The food looks delicious and smells great. We did not have to wait until we had delicious food brought to our table after eating all I could think was wow such a great restaurant with such delicious food for a great price , I didn't even know it was here and I have lived in this area for a couple years now I guess hidden gem I give this place on a scale of one to 10 a 12. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody and everyone they want to come and get some nice delicious well prepared food. This is the place, it's right off the 55 as well and not far from the freeway I can't say good things about this restaurant. I had the special, which is a massive wet burrito, both in size and taste. As a duke of a del taco, I'm no authority on good Mexican but for a regular Joe Californian, this place is pretty awesome. You're not here for the sanitary clinical feel of a place in like many places in nearby Irvine. My son and I met my husband for lunch here. We discovered this hidden gem about 20 years ago and somehow when we moved across town, we stopped coming. But today we decided to give it a visit and WOW!!!- Delicious!! My husband had a pulled pork in red sauce (but tastes like barbacoa!!) taco with cilantro, raw onions and salsa! Plus he got nachos with Chile verde (pork in green sauce) and as you can see in the picture, it is yummy!! I got a torta, the bread is heated and toasted to perfection, it has beans, asada, lettuce, tomato slice and a little bit of jalapeño slices. With a Jarritos!!! The burrito could have been wrapped better, but it wasn't bad. The food was prepared somewhere in the back, where I get suspicious about quality and cleanliness. Still, the food was decent, the price was under $5 with tax. Meat was standard affair, the rice nice and fluffy, and the portions filling. This is kind of a weird place in that, to be kind, I did not care for most of the things I've tried (granted, limited to two different types of burrito). The portions are generous but the food was very uncomfortably bland. I wish they would spice things up a bit or at least use a bit more salt, and I'm not someone who likes my food too salty. I am giving them a high rating though because their tacos al pastor are the best I have tasted so far in my life. They are incredibly savory, flavorful, and spicy, and even with that description I don't quite think I do them justice. Really delicious. The staff is always nice too. read more
