Menudo is so delicious. Condiments for them are fresh, chupe de árbol , chile bruto, limón y tortillas a mano compliment the food very well.

Omg so I was really dying for some good menudo! After searching around I found this place. Its a little hole in the wall but that's how you KNOW ITS BOUT TO BE BOMB! it didn't disappoint! They didn't skimp on the tripe and the soup itself was flavorful! They also give a stack of homemade tortillas and a plate with the onions , jalapeños and limes. I can't remember how it much it was but it wasn't much! Cash only . I will def be back! read more

Best menudo in town Cash only 2 options: with hominy or without Tortillas echas a mano (Hand made) Always good I am a regular here This last time they gave me some burnt tortillas, was the first time they sent out tortillas like that. I was a little upset that they did that to a regular, but the quality of the Menudo gives them a pass. I asked them for better quality tortillas and they delivered. So....I was introduced to this restaurant by my brother and his friend, they both had claimed they have found the best Menudo in Madera. Hearing that remark, I had to put this Menudo to the test. Very similar to "Bobby Salazar's" in Selma, it is literally adjacent to neighborhood houses. If you blink, you've done passed it. The restaurant is right next door to Tony's Barber shop on North D street. Parking is very tight, as mentioned before due to it being in a residential neighborhood. The restaurant is actually called "Taqueria Guerrero" not Querrerro. Whomever put it on the map, speed it incorrectly. When I entered the restaurant I didn't know what to expect. It was is a very tiny venue with very limited seating. There were approximately 5 people ahead of me, all with pans in there hand?? At first, I thought I had missed the "Memo" but I remember vaguely my brother advising me that locals bring their own pots to feell up with menudo (Priceless). Frustrated that I could not check in on Yelp I did not capture any photos of the interior or exterior; sorry. The kitchen was LIVE! There was 4 to 5 workers gathering plates, taking orders, making hot fresh tortillas (flour & corn) and simply making their guest happy. I was greeted with a very warm smile and asked what I would like. I believe they only speak spanish here so you've been warned. I ordered 6 menudo's to-go with all the fixings (onions, lemons, salsa and corn tortillas). Each container was $10; definitely worth it! Having only credit card she apologies and asked if I needed an ATM. I advised her "yes" and she directed me to the gas station up the street on Clevenland Ave. After returning with $60 cash I walked in the restaurant and to my surprise there was 8 people ahead of me!! The cashier had already had my order boxed up and was expecting my arrival. (5 Stars in itself). I surpassed the line and headed to my parents house for breakfast. The menudo was piping hot, delicious and flavorful. Most menudos that I've had are filled with a ton of hominy and very little Tripe, nope not this one! Plenty of succulent tripe that fills you up. Also topped with freshly cut onions, lots of lemon, and fresh corn tortillas I was in heaven! The salsa they supply you with just isn't salsa, it's salsa from a molcajete. Dark burgundy in color and perfect to taste. Ahh man, my stomach just growled thinking how good it was :) Even though I live in Fresno, I will definitely be back to get me some Menudo and hopefully any dish so I can rate them 5 Stars. read more

Maderas best kept secret! Menudo is delicious and home made authentic taste just like moms! They also have the biggest handmade corn tortillas ! It's cash only and it's a hole in the wall location. Super busy with minimal tables most people take orders to go! Can't wait to come back and try some of the other meals. read more

I was searching for a good menudo spot. Did try other places first before finding this one and definitely will be going back, really loved their menudo! They did take a while to take mine and other people in lines order and for it to be given so definitely recommend to call in advance before picking up if you don't want to wait. They also didn't greet me or any of the people entering their business which to me says a lot about how they care for their clients, which is the only reason other then the wait time that I only put 3 stars. read more

Best menudo in Madera period. I was brought here by a very good friend of mine. He said the menudo was the best and it had a feel of eating at a restaurant in Mexico . It made me want to eat there asap. To my surprise, my friend was right. Old school to the bone. Nothing fancy at all. It was a true whole in the wall. The service and food were excellent and the ladies were getting down serving food . There was literally a line out the door and tons of people were coming and going. I peeped over the counter and I saw the biggest pot of menudo in the world.!!!! Huge so it has to be good if they are making that much menudo!! Awww man, I'm driving to Texas and I got off the freeway to try out this little place for breakfast. I'm starving and craving some Huevos rancheros. The girl at the counter was very nice, but they only do (Huevos) breakfasts during the week, not on weekends. Guess what, today is Saturday.
