Hair in the burrito I ordered from them. Don't order from them. Gross!!! Manager and owner said it was an honest mistake. Nothing we can do about it. No replacement, no credit, no come back again and we'll do it right. Said if you don't want to order from us it's fine. Gross.

Tried this spot with my friend after seeing their Instagram page. Food looks so much better in pictures than it is. Sadly. We drove like 25 minutes to try their amazing birria they always post about but honestly I've had better. We had birria tacos, consomé, and tried the Hot Cheetos quesadilla. And tried their agua de Horchata & Tamarindo. The consomé was ok but was not hot, just warm. With a bit of meat inside and onion and cilantro. Cup is $3.50. Birria tacos are also $3.50. We had the quesadilla de asada. That was ok however the Cheetos tasted stale. Like they have a big bag and use that for a couple days until they finish that bag . They also charge a $1 fee to pay w your card . Will not be going back, sadly this place is not what they make it seem. There is two table a outside to sit down and lady working there was nice.

I came here on a Wednesday nigh around 9pm. I was o the search for a Hot Cheetos burrito. I ordered a Hot Cheetos burrito, it was good. However, I would say the tortilla was a little dry and flaky. More than I would have preferred. The burrito was still very flavorful though! The men working here were very nice. They made sure to get our order right and served to us quickly! The restaurant itself had a few tables but enough for someone to sit down and enjoy their food. The restaurant was brightly lit as well. I would definitely come back again, but it would not be my first choice in Hot Cheetos burrito based on distance.

If you fall into the category of people who think that Hot Cheetos are spicy, then DO NOT EAT HERE. Literally nothing will be safe to eat. I spent $49 on a Postmates order and could eat literally nothing. We threw out the entire order . The "regular burrito" is HOTTTTTT. Not "regular people" kind of spicy (like Hot Cheetos spicy), but SUPER hot, like you-live-for-the-heat spicy. The same was true for the Korean BBQ burrito (which doesn't even have hot sauce in the description). The birria tacos are also inedibly spicy. Finally, the horchata tasted like the milk had gone sour. Maybe we just got a bad batch, but I doubt it. The only good item was the Jamaica. Will not order from here again :(

Chile Relleno Quesadilla and Carne Asada Fries.

Drove a cool minute because the photos on Instagram were making me hungry. Unfortunately, I should have just stayed home. First off, the service was alright, no complaints. The shop is small, a typical hole in the wall, and quiet for a Friday visit. We ordered the KBBQ fries and Chile Relleno Quesadilla. The quesadilla was the best part of the experience ... you could actually taste the Relleno inside, which is huge! As for the KBBQ fries ... we did not get that. I am guessing because the cooks did not know what they were judging by the conversation we were hearing! Nonetheless, the carne asada fries we were eating were a horrible substitute. The fries were semi-uncooked, judging by the white potato color and the bland taste. On top was a pile of cream and guacamole that drenched the meat. We could have let our wrong order pass, but because half of our order did not taste so great, we'll pass on a next round!

    Taco Tuesday!
    Vincent N.

Taco Tuesday .75cent tacos. Burrito Wednesday $6 burrito. Check in on Yelp for free tortilla chips and guacamole! The guac is super fresh and tasty, but the chips were a little stale today. Ordered the carne asada fries ($12) and a Carne asada taco ($2.50). They also have a variety of beers for $4. The tacos are on the bigger side and packed full of meat! The carne asada fries included guac, sour cream, cheese, and diced tomatoes. Overall this dish was decent, and large enough to share between two people. Overall the food quality is good, but doesn't jump out. The prices are on the higher side, my friend ordered a burrito which was $9, and the size is typical at other taquerias. I would definitely come back for taco tuesday!

Live very close, tried it, Solid!…read more I was hungry and a fish and shrimp taco are BIG! As their menu explicitly states, and they are priced accordingly, around 5-5.50 each. I got fish, shrimp, and a potato taco since supposedly that was good too, it was very crispy and flavorful, my favorite though is from The Corner in HB for a mashed potato taco ;) SHRIMP: think this was primo - shrimp felt warm, big, juicy, flavorful, there was hotsauce on it as the menu states iirc. Might consider getting TWO of these instead of the fish. FISH: solid! Comparable to the ensenada fish tacos in fullerton I think? Or maybe that one is slightly better, been awhile. Overall - solid spot, not the cheapest but the quality is good and they don't skimp on protein. Not as good as tacos los cholos but that's further away, this is next door and again - they specialize in different meats!

This place has a wonderful selection of Mexican favorites to choose from. They are also a tad on the pricey side but I think that's just par for the course in this recession unfortunately. The lady behind the counter was most helpful in answering questions and navigating me through their menu. They will hand you a whole bottle of salsa to use at your leisure which is just lovely! The salsa verde was one of the best I have ever tasted. I'm coming back here tomorrow, and bringing a friend.

Decided to drop in and was delighted to know their Taco Tuesday special is $1 street tacos for a select handful of 8 protein fillings and $2 for 6 other choices. Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! Definitely recommend this spot any day of the week when they're open, but especially for their Taco Tuesday specials.

Combo #2 - Tacos Dorado and Enchilada plate with rice and beans. This comes with a hard beef taco and a cheese enchilada. I upgraded to have chicken in my enchilada for an extra $1.50. The enchilada was saucy and cheesy and stuffed with huge chunks for chicken white meat. The taco was in a crunchy fresh fried shell and packed with shredded beef, lettuce and cheese. The dish came with so much rice that I couldn't finish it. I know it's a basic, standard dish, but they did it well with generous servings. Chips with Guacamole - They pour on the guacamole over the chips and there was plenty so that each chip had plenty of guac. The chips were lightly salted corn chips that were medium light thickness. Great if you are craving chips with guacamole. Enough to share as a side, or enough for one really hungry person to polish off along with a main dish. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted. Since it was our first visit, we took our time looking over the menu, and the cashier was incredibly patient and never made us feel rushed. We ended up ordering a burrito combo, a chile relleno combo, a hard taco and enchilada combo, two taco combos, and a few horchatas. The portions are definitely generous, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. While we were waiting for our food, one of the owners came over and chatted with us about the restaurant's history. He shared that after the original owner passed away, many of the longtime cooks and staff decided to come together and open this new location, continuing the recipes and traditions they had been serving for years. Hearing that story, along with the genuine warmth and hospitality we experienced, made us appreciate the restaurant even more. It's not often that you find great food paired with such sincere customer service. They made us feel like regulars from our very first visit. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, generous portions, and a family-owned business that truly cares about its customers, Los Grandes Originales is definitely worth a visit.
