    Steak torta with fries

This spot is a great addition to 38th street. I love supporting locally owned restaurants. As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted by a friendly cashier. Once you order your food they will bring it to you at the table. Many people just came in to grab food to go. The wait didn't seem too long for them, maybe 15 minutes. I got my food to eat there. I tried a steak torta and it was huge! I LOVED the homemade salsas that were available. They really took the sandwich over the top. The only thing I didn't like were my fries. They were undercooked and soggy. I prefer crispy, hot fries. This is close to my house so I'll definitely be back.

I love this newest gem in the area. It was once home to Zhengs Garden. The previous owner had the area pretty small, and you weren't able to do inside. Now you have a small sine in option. The meal was really good! You get a great portion size for the price. I am still giving 5 stars, although I was saddened by them not offering steak with their chimichanga. They also offer.. great daily happy hour food deals . Like others shared, the gentleman that took my order was very knowledgeable; he even let me sample a small amount of the juice before I purchased. I'll be back!

Carnitas burrito. Nope. All lettuce. Go somewhere else.

Bad. Felt like tourist trap Mexican food. Chips left sour oil taste in mouth, salsa and guacamole were flavorless, burrito was nothing but lettuce, and the sauce on the burrito was one step away from ketchup. Walls were dirty, the credit card machine adds on extra fee to your bill....just over all really bad. Go the Paco's on Keystone instead.

Delish new spot in Midtown that you should check out. Had the chorizo, pastor, and asada tacos. They were flavorful and had the right amount of filling. Order the poderosa and it comes with rice, beans, and a drink. Lots of food for a great price. The inside is small, but plenty of room to stay and enjoy your meal. Staff was friendly and answered our questions.

I went for tacos on the Grand Opening day and I was very impressed. Super friendly staff and my order was quickly prepared for carry out. The tacos were excellent! Full of meat and dressed with cilantro & onions. Plenty of radishes, cucumber slices and limes too. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and I'll be back for sure! I want to try out some of the happy hour specials they have different nights of the week.

Saw this place omw home from work and didn't know if I'd missed it all along, or if it just recently opened for business, so I popped in for a snack, and......what a pleasant surprise!!!! SUPER friendly and knowledgeable staff, and outstanding al pastor tacos. I can't wait to try more of the menu. My wife and I usually have to drive either to Broadripple or all the way to High School Road and 38th St. to get decent tacos. Not anymore! They just opened Monday, so if you haven't tried them yet give em a shot.

Best Mexican Restaurant in Indianapolis! This little "Taqueria" has very big flavor with the personalized service to match! Food comes out hot and fresh and made with authentic ingredients. If you are in the mood for Mexican cuisine, make this place your first spot!

Cute little quaint place with excellent service and ok tacos. Family ran business, fairly new establishment. Small little building with few tables. Food took a little longer to come out but looked and tasted good. Would visit this place again if in the area but would not make a drive out (30 mins from home) to dine here. Love supporting local!

Chicken torta for $7 and it's gigantic!

So excited for this new edition in the neighborhood! I'm TOTALLY gonna be here a few times a week. I went on the grand opening weekend and they were packed. The staff was friendly and my food came out quickly. I ordered the chicken torta (which was almost as big as my head) and chips and queso. The chips were perfect and the queso was amazing. Yay for this new lil taqueria!

Was looking for something to grab on the way home and poof small yellow building of taco goodness. I ordered the lengua, al pastor, and chorizo tacos with cheese added. They weren't skimpy with the meat and flavor was worth the stop. Instead of the crumble queso fresco you'd expect they did use a Monterey or something similar.

A little big for just lunch but it's very good!

Delicious authentic tacos! The birria was amazing. We had both a burrito and a taco. Horchata was good. Service was great too.

I got the Langostino Quesadilla that I loved! It was a really big quesadilla too. We ordered agua frescas tonight, but their bar menu is huge and I definitely want to be back for margaritas on their patio. This is prime location for patio season. All our service was very professional and fast. Bonus perk there is a free parking garage attached.... Makes going out to eat downtown way less stressful!

Overall a chill environment and ith a nice front patio/ sidewalk seating area. We enjoyed the chips n salsa varieties, surprisingly the darker salsa wasn't spicier just a different flavor. Orde re d the chicken burrito which was gigantic easily enough for 2 to share. Very well made fresh ingredients, covered in sauces and cheesy. And we all tried different margaritas, mine was a strawberry fruity take on a margarita, good and garnished nicely. Rated fresh and flavorful, not very strong and a bit pricey. Especially with some being $100+ for a drink was wild. Overall nice place, nice environment, wasn't busy and tasted good but is priced higher than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.
