We went there for the tacos al vapor, steamed tacos. I mean, as expected, the tacos were ok, really tiny, but you have to consider they are .50¢ each. You get what you pay for. Flavor wise it was ok, but nothing to write about, no lime was offered, I needed it, but no one came to check on us once we ordered and then once food was delivered. Service was good when taking the order, but stark, non existent after that. The lady that brought the food out looked scared. The place is actually pretty big, about six tables available, ample space between them, they have an old-fashioned looking radio playing what sounded like an AM radio station. read more

Saturday June 29th.2024@315pm.. Drove from Maricopa City to this specific location, which took about an hour or so.. Needless to say the comida was extremely authentic and most delicious VERY CLEAN ESTABLISHMENT Was not disappointed one bit the menudo on this warm day, was extremely delicious and the maiz melted in your mouth as they should Also got the taco's vapor, got a few of everything that was offered, all of it was absolutely magnificent All three flavors of the chile were perfect Will most definitely return as the services was prompt as well... Backstory I come to visit from EL Paso and this taqueria was the closest restaurant from where we were staying. I really wanted barbacoa so when I saw in the menus that they have barbacoa we decided to come. I ordered 5 tacos and a dada that it came out to be 17.05. Once the. Food was brought it was just left on the table and me and my friends had to guess what order was which. Once I saw that there was no barbacoa I went to the front and asked for my order the lady then came to my table and explained that the 5 separate were mine. I looked at them and told her that those were not barbacoa she then looked and said "sorry but that's what it is" my friend had order two cabeza tacos which was barbacoa I told her that those are barbacoa and if she could please change them she then said no. I hadn't really planned on stopping anywhere for a bite to eat. But, since they were open, and it was time for my snack meal, I decided to try them out. So, I had a red pork steamed taco. Now, for 50 cents, one mustn't expect a lot. And, indeed, it is quite small (maybe 3 inches). But, for what it lacks in size, it makes up for in flavor. It was served piping hot. And, was delicious. Don't judge a book by its cover. This may not look great from the outside but is a hidden gem. The Asada burro was delicious. I had one of the best Tortas ever! Bread was so good and soft. The meat options are carnitas, chicken , barbacoa, asada, pastor, lengua, and lengua. Oh, they also serve menudo, pozole , and tamales. We ordered the enchilada combo which included 4 (chicken or cheese), rice and beans. The tacos are small tortilla tacos. They have a salsa bar with salsas and condiments. Customer service was friendly and efficient. Food taste was good The enchilada sauce was restaurant made, not canned like most places. Beans were very good and restaurant made, not canned. We ordered barbacoa(beef) tacos and the meat tasted great! No heavy seasoning or condiments. They sell american soda, mexican soda and freshly sqweezed lemonade. Ambiance was cool. I did try the fresh lemonade in the bottle on the counter and it was good. I did like their salsa bar a lot. Load your food up with cabbage, red onion, lime, cilantro and onions. We ate here the other night. I wanted to bring some Mexican food home after work. I decided to try this place based on that they had a couple vegetarian options. We ordered the chili relleno burrito, awesome. Tamale plate and chicken enchiladas. Also got 3 of the $50 tacos they offer with potato. Everything was really good, not greasy at all. Decided to give this hole in the wall spot. I imagine these are the best for good tacos in the west valley. The guy who served me was fast and pleasant to make purchase from. I ordered a cabeza and 2 carne asada tacos. The guy same guy I paid to brought my tacos over to me and it was meat and tortilla. There is a salsa/relish bar so you can put as much or few as you want. So I didn't think i was going to like this place at all! I was convinced I was going to get food poisoning, and I couldn't believe that I had let my friend drag me here.. But it was sooo good! Reading the reviews I thought this place was going to be good, but after eating here I don't know how they got the reviews they did. I will say it was a clean place. I ordered the flautas and after the first bite I could tell they were frozen. The tacos were very average. I got all 3 salsas from the little bar area as well as limes, cilantro, cabbage, and onions and after eating them I had this taste in my mouth from bad refrigeration.
