Tripas taco, lengua hard taco and cheese enchilada

Great tacos, tried the cheese enchilada today. Tripas taco, lengua hard taco and cheese enchilada

Huge aguas frescas- horchata and jamaica. So good!

This review is for both Jacky's locations (Buckeye food truck and Avondale rest) Both places are pretty laid back- so if you are expecting a fancy sit down restaurant this place is not it. Now if you are wanting some good simple Mexican food then you are in the right place. We've had the chicken fajitas, the asada chimichanga, the chicken quesadilla and the mixed enchiladas. All in all- plates are a decent amount of meat and food (we usually had some leftovers) The chicken fajitas were more of a chopped/shredded chicken more than slices - no biggie just different. The asada chimichanga is pretty big - enough to have leftovers. The mixed enchiladas is one of each (I figure I would mention it as I thought it was a mixed of Beef, Chicken, Cheese all in one lol ) Their horchata and Jamaicas are BIG and probably some of the best Ive had!

torta and carne asada fries

Gf and I go here all the time for mexican food. Usually get the torta (carne asada or cabeza), carne asada fries, and the chimichanga (cabeza). The torta is really tasty. Love how the meat is cut in small pieces so easier to eat rather having a whole slab of meat. It gets soggy if you wait more than 6-10 mins so be careful. Very big portion too. 10/10 The carne asada fries were good too! Big portion and tasted good. Im not picky with carne asada fries since they're my favorite but this is easily in my top 3 places to go. I have not experienced soggy fries since I eat them right after I order them. I also request no beans. 9/10 The chimichanga is huge! Very crunchy and yummy. The cabeza kind of tastes like the carne asada but more softer. The meats are both cut the same but still are good. 9/10

WRONG hours.

Fix your hours or at least put up a sign. Always closing earlier than website. Love the food but unreliable hours.

Very good food! We ordered the 50 Cent potato tacos, also a couple of bean tacos. They're kind of small, but we knew that going in. They are very tasty. We went for round two and ordeted of a couple of Gorditas and a cheese and jalapeño tamale. Incredibly good!

A little hole in the wall but great food. First time here this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Large portions, great salsa and nice quality meat. Very good selection of food as well.

Overall so good! We originally drove over to this area to go to a different place but didn't know…read morethey closed and I'm so happy this was the first suggestion for birria!! I got a birria taco and my hubs got an al pastor quesadilla. We also got a side of rice and horchata. Horchata- creamy and delish (which says a lot because I don't usually care for it) Rice- was good to me but the peas could be left out lol Quesadilla- the meat was flavorful and owned every bite. Tortilla was nice and everything was a perfect ratio Birria- OMG! The flavor was perfect and the cheese. It was so hard not to eat it in one bite lol. I foot to add consume but honestly it didn't need it. I loved the flavor and how tender the meat was I've driven past the Litchfield location and always wanted to try so I am happy we made it into this location! Definitely will have to make my way to that one since it's a little closer to home. Also the seating is ample inside and the girls are nice! Kitchen was quick as well. Even when it was dead to watching alone form, they busted out those orders

I found this spot tucked away in a Fry's plaza honestly surprising since I've been in the area…read moreplenty of times and never noticed it before. I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

Yes, Yes, Yes! Today, my husband said let's try this place…read more I said ok! As we got closer, I realized I've been in the area several times. I have never ate at any of rhe places though. You order at the counter and the food comes out to the table. You can tell this place is family owned. The owners, whom I assumed were there tonight, were lovely people. While we waited, the woman who took our order brought out a basket of chips with refried beans and fresco queso on top with a side of salsa. Woah! What? Epic. But wait! A few minutes later, a precious girl with the most warm inviting, and beautiful smile came out with 2 warm, homemade corn tortillas, with salsa and cheese for us. These were just complimentary extras we didn't expect at all. Soo good. The restaurant is a humble place. Cute, clean, inviting and roomy. There is an inside seating area and an outdoor section. Someone was grilling meat out front. I think, the owner. I ordered a chili relleno combo. It comes with rice, beans, tortillas, and a drink. Hubs ordered two carne asada tacos, and a carne asada sope. I didn't try anything my husband ordered. ( I was laser focused on my meal lol) But it looked really good. He said, you can tell, they make their food with love. Yes, yes, yes, you can. My dish, was the best chili relleno I have had the entire 5 yrs I have been living in AZ. And the beans were phenomenal. Honestly, I prefer eating at places like this. We came for an impromptu date night. I can say it was one of the best meals and date nights I've had in a while. Thank you. Y'all are gonna see me alot. :)

No matter how busy, the wait is never long but your food is made to order. They have an abundant salsa bar and, if you sit outside, an employee is cooking up something on a plancha. We don't know what. We have only ever sat inside or carried our tacos home. Next door there's a modern bakery next door with cakes, bars, cookies and traditional Hispanic treats. We're looking forward to checking it out at some point. Stay tuned!
