Salsas were excellent, the puerco chile verde was succulent, there's outdoor seating and they allow dogs so me and my wife could bring our pup. Updated review 7-19-26: Apparently the quality of the food greatly depends on which chef is working in the kitchen. The bacon breakfast burritos were sub-par this time and greatly overpriced for the quality. The staff were not professional either. Original review: Stopped in to order lunch for takeout on Monday around 11am and the parking lot was almost full. Walked right in and ordered quesabirria to go and it was ready in less than ten minutes. The quesabirria was incredibly fresh and came with consome, limes, onions, and cilantro. Very well prepared food and flavor. I tried 3/5 salsa/sauces, which I didn't love but maybe I'll like the other two. Very nice inside and clean with many small tables. I believe in second chances. I went during soft opening, day 1. It was rough and a long wait but my tacos were still delicious. Heard lots of bad things but also great things. I've been eating tacos from this place since the food truck in Hillsboro and it's still a favorite of mine. I wanted to give the place time to smooth things out and I returned recently on July 10th. I arrived just before the lunch rush that was suddenly past the entry doors. The place fills up quick but they do have outdoor seating as an option. I ordered my go-to Birria tacos and added an asada burrito. My food was freshly cooked and HOT! Which worked for my car ride home. Solid new taco spot in the Lake Oswego neighborhood. Took over an traditional looking drive-in burger spot so the place is unique with ample parking and the tall triangular appearance. Tacos are decently priced. Birria taco was tasty, savory and the consommé also had great flavor OG premium taco with lengua was also a solid taco with tender meat. We were just here last Monday and had to come back. The tacos are amazing! Highly recommend the fish tacos, but all the tacos are wonderful! So glad this place is open as it's just around the corner from my house. We were anxious to try the OG Taqueria, having waited so long for them to open. Awful! They should not be in business. Our bill came to $28.49. We gave the cashier $30.50, expecting $2 in return. Nothing. I reminded the cashier that I was waiting for my $2. She pretended she owed me nothing. Finally, after five reminders, she gave me $1.50. It is not the money. It's the service. I expected to be treated like a customer. I had a burrito. As food, it was OK. But to eat it I had to do with cheap plastic utensils that I feared would break if I put any pressure on them. The ambiance was good, but from ordering from a hard-to-read menu to paying to getting our food to dining was all bad. Never again. I've learned my lesson. Steve read more

Ordered the Birria tacos. They were loaded with beef and cheese. I was recently in Michoacán and these deliciously reminded me of the authentic flavor of Mexico. I also got Jamaica which too was authentic. The service was friendly and thorough. We sat outside at an umbrella shaded table on a pleasant 80 degree evening. Couldn't have been better. Others at the table ordered the chicken fajitas, chicken la crema, and enchiladas. Everyone raved on their choice. The salsa bar was also authentic and a great compliment to the food. read more

WOW! 11/10! The service was amazing, the girl at the front was so kind and helpful! She recommended the birria tacos, which we ordered, as well as the OG street tacos and Richard tacos. They also have a selection of house made sauces, which were all unique and delicious. These were the best tacos I've had in the Lake Oswego area. Anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant knows that raw pork should never be stored above cooked food in a walk-in cooler. That is not a minor inconsistency -- it appears to be a serious health-code violation. What concerns me even more is the attempt to cover or downplay the Health Department's notice with a sign suggesting the issue was something other than what was documented. That kind of response does not build trust with the community. For me, food safety and transparency matter. This is not the kind of place where I would feel comfortable getting my next meal. read more

I first tried OG when they finally opened. Yes, the food is good, feel limited menu. Second attempt, they were closed due to regulation reason. The third time was Friday 07/17, I was driving by seen the OPEN sign on at 9:10 am thought I would try their $15 breakfast burrito. The gal said we do not open till 9:30 but I turned on the Open sign, on top of that I was told they were running behind more like 9:50. Then do not turn on your Open Sign if you are not open and be on time to open on time!!! Done with OG, and they seem to have issues. Not much parking space, decent salsa bar, food was priced well I think for the quality you get. I ordered the surf n turf burrito which was underwhelming lots of peppers in it and a lack of shrimp, , the Cali burrito looked a lot better, my wife got the birria tacos, which were good. The chips were over done, and for 5$ wasn't much of value. The cucumber lemon water is a nice touch that they offered. Would have been nice to see a burrito bowl on the menu that would have been my first choice. read more

The food was so good. They had massive tocos that filed me up. The service was really fast. We walked in and ordered almost immediately. They brought us our food in under 7 minutes. The ambiance was great. Out door seating was great. All new seating. The bathrooms were so nice and clean. This was some of the best Mexican I have had in Portland. With that aside, let's talk business. All of the employees were supper nice, you could ask them any question and they would have an answer. I would give the Mexican food a 10 out of 5 stars. I can't stress this enough you NEED to go. This would be a place I would plan a trip around. As Mickey Mouse said "Oh Boy" This was my reaction to the food when I took my first bite. If you are looking at the one star reviews and thinking that "O I don't want to go there" don't listen to that part of your brain and just go. It was half passed twelve when it happened. I walked into the restaurant expecting a cozy, fun experience. But I was wrong. To my surprise, everything and everyone in the room was lifeless. Likes sloths dying from starvation. I tried to shake it off, while the vibrance of the restaurant made it hard to enjoy even the best of euphoria. The food took long to arrive. Too long. And when I finally was handed my bean and cheese burrito, I was shocked. I nearly fell out of my seat when I tasted the horrible, possessed taste of that spawn of satan. I gagged instantly, blood exiting alongside those hateful beans. I would rather eat a handful of laxative-laced razors covered in chest hair than ever lay my eyes on that burrito again. But little did I realize, my torturous journey was only at its beginning. Later that night, before I had the chance to process the horror I almost swallowed at that hellish factory, a horrific sensation in my bowels erupted. I ran to the bathroom before the floodgate of hell were unleashed in my new cargo pants. I was halfway there before I failed worse than I ever failed before. As I was desperately running from my demise, I let out a breach. How foolish of me, as my new cargo pants didn't stand a chance. I could smell it instantly. It overtook my nostrils and gave me a terrible pain in my migraine. I wish I could say it was worse than the burrito, but I don't think I can ever truthfully say those words. Still, it was horrifying. I collapsed to the floor, giving up. I lied there for hours, too weak to move. When I finally gained the strength to get up, my tiny apartment stood no chance, as the smell had already taken complete control upon my environment. I knew the only possible way to survive was to leave the country and start a new name. The Charlie Bloguntess we all know and love is gone. I am now Melissa Coughlin. I end this message with a strong warning. I urge you. Never, I mean never enter the gates of hell, OG Taqueria, as the only thing you shall find is pain. I wish you all well. I know a lot of people are complaining about the prices, but I feel they are right in line with the prices here in Lake Oswego (tacos at Holy Taco are $5+ and at Tavern on Kruse, a hamburger is $25.). Not a great experience. Food was incredibly overpriced and all the meat was questionable. My friend ordered a pork burrito and there was almost no meat, it was all huge chunks of just fat. Inedible. My husband and I ordered tacos and, all 4 different types of tacos were bland and tasted the same and meat was definitely questionable. Husband also ordered the battered fish tacos and they came out just cooked on the grill. Another friend ordered battered shrimp tacos, same thing. No batter - not fried. When we let staff know about the missing batter/fried meat the said they probably messed up an order even though all the seafood tacos were missing batter. No one offered to remake it for us - just suggested it was made wrong and walked away. The woman in front of us in line ordered chicken fajitas, but they ran out of fajitas and after she har already paid and was waiting for her food they offered her shredded chicken instead. We heard from that people before us got food poisoning so we're waiting to see if we get sick too. Really hoping they can step it up and this was just an opening week fluke. read more
