They mentioned using olive oil instead of lard to keep it open to the folks that can't eat swine. Saw this place on instagram a while back and decided to try it out. I got their street tacos, which were fairly priced at 2.50 which is something hard to come by nowadays. I got a carnitas and al pastor taco. Their al pastor taco was mediocre nothing to rave about, but their carnitas taco was DELICIOUS! They also had a salsa bar set up. Great taco shop with a drive thru and plenty of seating for dining in. It's a little hidden between a donut shop and auto mechanic but drive up to the window and place your order. I believe they mostly speak Spanish but they are quick and give you everything you need to eat your tacos including lime, cilantro, onion, salsas and the vinegar carrots. Tacos are pretty good, I didn't get their tacos de buche but they are so good. This time I got the 2 asada and 2 pastor with everything and rice and beans on the side. It was a late last minute dinner (not for me) but they shared with me that the tacos were tasty, huge plus on the guacamole. They have indoor and drive thru as well. My friend and I were in Santa Ana again tonight and decided to stop in and order the beef soup. I would imagine it is closest thing to comfort food for most because it is both filling and satisfying. We both absolutely loved it. You won't find this flavorful soup in a food truck or fast food chain... that's for sure! Divey little taco joint with great tacos! After checking reviews of local restaurants we decided on this spot. Tried to get something off the beaten path. We had tacos el pastor and these are probably some of the best. We also had beans and rice which I would pass on in the future they were not that great. Fresh sides were available onions, cilantro, radishes and salsa on a bar. Don't let the exterior fool you it's old but the food is good. It's fast food so you order at a window inside and the staff is friendly food comes out quickly. Not a bad place for some good food! Its easily identifiable with a bright green truck near the entrance of the lot. This little hole in the wall is an interesting experience. You work your way to a little window, behind which is the kitchen, and the lone employee chef, cashier. Order at the window and wait for him to prepare everything. He'll wave when it's done. We ordered a bunch of tacos, and the consensus was that they were okay. All of them. Okay, but just that. Tacos very heavy and filling for $1.25. Carnitas are braised and served very wet, but still pretty good. Carne asada has good flavor, moist meat, a little chewy but good. Al pastor was the only really disappointing taco, very greasy and wet, seriously lacking flavor and seasoning. Service is very fast as it was all pre-prepped and heated up, then served boiling hot. Let their tacos sit a minute or you will burn your mouth. Drive-thru is a nice bonus. I prefer it since inside is pretty filthy. But so far, I like them. Good flavor, fast, convenient and good value. Plus, they have a nice salsa bar with my favorite creamy, green "aguacate" salsa. Though they refused to serve it to me in the drive-thru :( 3.5 stars. read more

Not my favorite taqueria experience...I ordered the chicken burrito which comes with a small side of chips. It fell apart before I could even take the first bite and there was no flavor in the meat. My husband ordered some steak tacos and also commented that the meat didn't have flavor. The best part about this visit was the quick service and the piña agua fresca. read more
