    Taco and juice

I think I just found my new go-to taco spot near my place. Prices are actually reasonable (which is rare lately), and everything I've tried has been packed with flavor. They've got a ton of options too, so it's easy to mix it up every time. On top of that, the service is quick and genuinely friendly. Definitely one of those spots you end up going back to way more than you planned.

Amazing tacos!! Fresh tortillas, juicy meats, very loaded toppings Favorites were pastor and lengua, chorizo and birria were good as well but not on the same level as the pastor and lengua Jamaica was great as well My picky baby loved everything here as well Overall you can't go wrong with this place!

Ordered a bunch of food right after a long flight from Hawaii and it came out really quick which was awesome because we were starving. The prices were exceptionally low and the food was great so the value was definitely 5 star especially since the staff was really nice and accommodating. I got my kids an horchata and they've never tried agua Fresca so the lady gave us a few samples. I was handing them out to the kids and she just filled up a nice fixed waters cup for us all to enjoy. My son has never tried a burrito but he was satisfied with his chicken quesadilla and tried some of his sister's burrito for the first time and he's a fan now. Glad we ended up here, and I hope this great prices and tasty venue stats around for the long haul.

Hidden gem! The staff is welcoming and friendly, the place is spotless, and the food is absolutely delicious. Their weekend specialties are especially worth coming for -- full of flavor and made fresh. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great service and amazing food!

Some of the best tacos I've ever had. Meat was plentiful and well seasoned. Free chips and salsa, limes, and hot sauce. I'll be coming back here next time I'm in Oakland.

After craving birria tacos for a few weeks this place satisfied me. First time was today. Food was DELICIOUS! Very flavorful and fresh. I got 3 birria tacos with consomé and an horchata. This food was so delightful. I loved the freshness of the birria very tender and juicy. The horchata is the real deal doesn't taste like the packaged powder horchata. Horchata was perfectly sweetened. 10/10 on the food and drink. Service was phenomenal! The cashier was beyond of words of kind. Fast efficient and helpful. Great service! Ambiance of the place is beautiful. It captured the Mexican colors and culture. Very pretty pictures/paintings. Simple place with a cute ambiance and feel to it. Very cozzy and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back to visit this place.

Taqueria Los Altos opens in the vacated Devaugh's Cajun Kitchen space. Interior seating surrounded by artisan artifacts/pics. Greeted immediately upon entering. Placed order, paid, food brought to table. Offerings: burrito, quesadilla, tortas, drinks. Weekends: pozole, menudo, birria. Eats: lengua tacos(4), cabeza/pastor taco (3) -self service salsa bar with free tortilla chips. Lengua taco had juicy, tender, generous amounts -price listed as 3, charged 4. No problem. Lengua is usually higher. -cabeza & pastor also fresh, generous portions. Pastor had slight char Drink: Jamaica Aqua Fresca (L. 4) -not overly sugared. Had subtle hibiscus flavor.

Was passing by the general area and remembered seeing this place on social media story posts so called in for a takeout order. They seem involved in the local community which made me want to stop in. We were provided a 10 minutes estimate of when the food would be ready and when we arrived the order was ready. This place seems relatively new so there was limited sources on the internet of menu options. We ordered the pollo torta and 5 tacos (4 Al pastor and 1 carnitas). The torta with avocado was on the saucy side. I enjoyed it but didn't realize it would be saucy...so when I was in the car I ate half of a torta and spilled some over my pants lol don't be me and eat food in a moving car! It just smelled so good I couldn't resist. The sandwich bread was pillowy soft. The torta has a milder taste than the tacos. The tacos were flavorful and was like small taco truck style. I ate the torta and 2 tacos for dinner and that made me full. The tacos were flavorful and not greasy. The avocado salsa seems to be a crowd favorite! Also, yessss to self serve salsa bar!

Got 4 tacos today and they are tasty and filled edge to edge in meat. 2 steak and 2 al pastor. Delicious ! The interior is very clean and inviting. Even though its in the hood, it aint no hole in the wall. Service for fast and friendly. Cant wait to go back to try a burrito. Will be back !

Tried this place for the first time last weekend and was not disappointed! I ordered lengua, al pastor, and carne asada tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were all amazing! The al pastor had great flavor with a hint of pineapple and was not oily which was great. The carne asada was slightly crispy and had a nice charred smoky taste without being dry. I highly recommend the carne asada and al pastor. The lengua was good but needed seasoning, flavor was lacking. My husband got the birria plate and said it had good flavor but the meat was slightly tough. Would definitely come back! Love the chips and salsa bar.

So clean and inviting, fresh flowers at each table

I ordered a couple steak and al pastor tacos for me and my friend they were so good and on the plus side the restaurant is so clean and inviting. I don't make it out this way often but I would come back again.

Every single time I've come in and those two are working, the customer service has been disappointing. Neither of them ever seems welcoming. No "hi," no "welcome in," no smile, and sometimes barely even an acknowledgment that you're standing there waiting to order. When they do take your order, both come across short and irritated, almost like you're inconveniencing them by being there. Then you pay and there's usually no "thank you" or anything. The whole interaction gives off a "why are you here?" I'm not asking these girls to throw me a welcome party, but damn basic hospitality shouldn't be this difficult. When you're the first people customers interact with, your attitude represents the restaurant. At this point, the food has more warmth and personality than the two people standing at the register. And I want to make it clear that I'm specifically talking about my experiences with these two cashiers, because the food itself is DELICIOUS. Whoever is cooking in the back deserves their flowers. It's honestly unfortunate that such good food is being paired with front-counter service that repeatedly makes me reconsider coming back. Hopefully management addresses the issue because I genuinely enjoy eating here. Customers shouldn't feel like they're bothering the employees just for walking in and placing an order.

From the outside, it looks like a straightforward taco truck, but wow was I surprised. I ordered the Carnitas Super Taco, which came loaded with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. My only complaint? You only get one taco per order because I definitely could've eaten another. The Kid ordered the Carne Asada Super Taco and before we even pulled away, she was asking for a second one. That's usually a pretty good sign. We also tried the horchata and jamaica, and both were delicious. The horchata was creamy and flavorful, while the jamaica was refreshing and not overly sweet. What surprised me most was how quickly they got the food out, especially considering how popular this spot seems to be. A few things to know: * Cash or Venmo only * Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it * Keep an eye out for the new speed cameras in the area Their hours are another plus: Open daily, 9:30am- midnight Overall, this was one of those pleasant surprises that reminds you not to judge a place by appearances. Reason why I'd give 3 stars instead of 5 is because 1) almost $5 for one tiny taco is already absurd, and 2) half of the time they charge me for super taco prices just so i can go home and find out they gave me regular tacos - NO cheese, NO guac, NO sour cream. I even asked the dude on the phone how many bags of chips they give for my order so i know if I need to order more, he literally said two bags of chips, and end up giving me just one bag for a total of 4 "super" tacos and one "super" burrito. We are in search of a Baja fish taco that is satisfying since both of the places we loved either closed or stopped serving the baja style. We went to Mersea earlier for the views and to check out TI and it was uninspiring so we rambled back to the east bay and decided to try Mercado. Reviews looked good (thanks y'all, I appreciate you) and despite a few misses on the baja taco (according to some reviews) we decided to take a run at it. The man was feeling jaded after the am stop and wasn't going for the fish, I stayed neutral...no one wants their little taco loving heart broken twice in one day...ultimately, he decided to try the fish taco plate with 1 baja and one grilled. I had the poblano mole tacos w/chicken. We shared the guacamole with chips. I had cafe de olla (it is called something else here) and he had the mocktail with the ginger beer. The ordering at the counter wasn't my favorite but the spot was pretty quiet for a Friday midday and the service was still exceptional. They were attentive and responsive. I would definitely go back at the same time cuz I don't like crowds. On to the food. Dayum! Everything was good. Well seasoned, beautifully plated, and sufficient serving size. I pigged out. For real...I waddled out of that joint. Brought every drop of the leftovers home so I could have the chocolate custard (DAYUM) for dessert with the remnants of my coffee. Him: he preferred the baja style to the grilled fish. As some others have said, it can fall apart (really stuffed with goodness) but he didn't want his fixins on the side. VERDICT: he'll be back for that taco. Me: I enjoyed the mole but the chicken in chunks didn't work for me. I would have preferred it shredded. I'll try something else next time and there will be a next time. Oh, and the black beans and green rice were flavorful as well. Standing order: guacamole and chips Cafe Chocolate custard... What? No pics? Come on now. I wasn't thinking 'bout y'all when my food came. Go take your own pics.

They also have Thai iced teas/coffee/lemonade, and serve young coconuts with water. We got a bunch of appetizers to share and some entrees. We got the crispy rice pork salad, this is served with lettuce leaves and herbs and a wedge of lime. I loved this dish - the crispy rice and ground pork combination was balanced and the squeeze of lime juice made for a perfect bite wrapped in a lettuce leaf with mint and cilantro. Next was the Bird & Buffalo Chicken wings, perfectly crispy and tossed in salt and pepper. Good for folks who don't enjoy the spice. We also got the grilled pork spare ribs to share, which folks enjoyed. For entrees we had the drunken noodles with pork, green curry with rice and massaman curry with rice.
