This place has the best steak on the southside. I don't know what they do to their meat, but it is untouchable by any other restaurants always flavorful always fresh. The service is great most times I do call my order in and it's typically ready within the time that they give you if you'd like to sit down inside the restaurant it's a great atmosphere definitely family friendly. I love that since they moved to the new location across the street that the food still taste just as good and it's still just as fresh. excuse my bite, but I couldn't wait to eat when I pick my order up in the parking lot. I finally got to check this spot out with my husband. The place was packed so we had to wait for seating but it wasn't a long wait at all. I love the fact that this restaurant has an agua Fresca station and has a plethora of different flavors like: Rompope, Strawberry, Jamaica, Chicle, pepino, regular horchata, tamarindo, taro, mango and fresh juices. I ordered the huarache dinner with chicken, it came with rice and beans and my husband ordered 6 different tacos and two chicharon gorditas. The physical menu doesn't have the prices on them but you can scan the QR code and the online menu will pop up with the pricing. The prices are a tad pricier, that's probably why they don't display them on the physical menu. I don't really like menus that don't display prices because that usually means things are pricier. I'm the type that likes to know upfront how much things cost. Our server Luis did a good job but the lady that prepped our table didn't give us salsa. You're supposed to have tortilla chips, three bottles of salsa and a little ramekin of regular salsa, so we asked Luis for some. One thing I didn't appreciate was the fact that one female waitress rudely grabbed the tortilla chips away from our table without asking if we were done eating. I was enjoying the chips and that just blew me away. I wasn't in the mood to cause a scene so we just paid and left once our extra take home order was handed to us. Blown away by how good this place is. I've only had delivery, but it traveled well. Gordita de Chicharron and Enchiladas Rojos were excellent. The steak and chorizo tacos were also great. We came late at night and we had my dog mocha. He's a 13 pound shihtzu yorkie. They now have a patio area and I asked if we could sit outside with him and they said yes. They also gave him a cup of water. The food was extra delicious, per usual. If you get one thing let me be anything carne asada. It's literally perfect! I've always had the horchata but today I had the agua de tamarindo and it did not disappoint. They were playing a soccer game my boyfriend wanted to watch so that was an extra bonus. Hi guys and girls so this place is good for sure. Our waitress did not check up on us after she took our order at all but two other ladies came by and made sure we had everything. Warning though if you order a quesadilla machete style they are big two ppl definitely will be full with one only so you can share the Gorditas are also bigger than your usual place so ask how big are they lol. After a 6 hour drive Lexington, Kentucky to Chicago we stopped by a taco place my brother suggested when he went there. Every table was taken which we had to wait 10 minutes for a table. We ordered our food and bought some agua frescas. The agua frescas are absolutely amazing good taste and great amount of sweetness. They gave us some very dry nachos and the waiters were taking so long to bring us the drinks when we were dying of thirst. They brought us the tacos but my aunts tacos were pork and she doesn't eat pork we tried to tell them to refund and they did. The tacos overall were good especially the asada ones they make people full fast. The al pastor tacos were not so good compared to the tacos in Mexico when i went there in July for vacation. The interior was nice its cold but fancy almost feels like Mexico inside. read more

I really enjoy their food but I had never had a problem with them until today. I called to place a take out order and because my order was over $50.00 I was told I had to pay in advance. I told the lady I was driving so I wasn't able to read her my card number and that I would pay in cash when I arrived to pick up my order. She told me no, I had to pay in advance and that they would take my order when I arrived at the restaurant. I wouldn't have a problem paying in advance but this was the first time I was told I had to do this. I have placed take out orders from them up to $100 and never was I required to pay before hand. If this is a policy they have in place then it should be stated on their website or somewhere in their establishment and also be consistent. read more

Looks like they moved from the location they had across the street, bc they were in a nice new building with good amount of seating inside. And the hype is real...we ended up waiting for a table for 45 minutes. It was busy. So at the beginning service was a little slow getting to us but they were polite and helpful. So many options on the menu, which I like! Food came and it was good! I kept seeing these big tacos, and it was big! Got a lot of food and it was reasonably priced. We all enjoyed it. Every time I go westbound on 59th street from Western Avenue I see people crossing the street from the restaurant 2 an outdoor seating area. The owners recently bought a vacant building across the street so they will be expanding the spot. I wanted 2 give them a try. I found free street parking. The host/cashier spoke Spanish which I quickly informed her I spoke English. She asked me if I was going to pay cash or credit. I asked why and she said that if I paid cash we would need to go 2 another register. Kinda odd a guy was mixing sauce next to her on the countertop and no gloves on. It took about 6-7 minutes..no prob. I ordered 4 steak tacos since the order taker didn't know what ground beef was. Another co-worker had to intervene. 4 tacos for $19. . They were $4.30, are they worth it?? Hmmm...it was good but not blown away. Cheese, sour cream & avocado is $.68 more per taco. Jesus. If I felt like cooking I definitely would. It stated I was supposed 2 receive grilled onions & peppers, radish & cucumbers but I didn't. Would I go back? No because . The cashier didn't want to speak English . Decided to give this place another try and so glad I did! Our first impression of the establishment was poor given prior bad service... but I think they were having an off day at the time. Service was excellent this time around. I had the steak burrito, which was massive and had onion and cilantro- I would have preferred the lettuce/beans/sour cream style- but the steak was DELICIOUS. My review is simply going on a take out experince. Ive never ate at the location. That said i went online to look at menu and pictures of course of options. I chose a quesadilla small pictured below what i git instead was a reg taco with melted cheese. Im not sure why they advertise a picture that completely does not look like a reg taco on there website. I thought i was ordering a smaller version of there reg. Quesadilla but i guess jokes on me. I called to clear miscommunication and i didnt understand why i couldnt speak to a manager very weird. Until i explained my situation and got said ok ill transfer.
