Taqueria Mariscos is a solid place to get Mexican food, and order tasty Mariscos in Concord. Mariscos means Seafood in Spanish, and their seafood offerings are delicious. We have tried their fish and shrimp tacos, and my wife was a big fan. I really liked the tacos, and also ordered al pastor tacos to try other options. Their Torta Cubana is packed with meat, and will definitely fill up if you're hungry! The place is very clean, and their staff are friendly and attentive. I've been here twice and this is quickly becoming my go to! Sadly, I have no pictures because the food is so good that I am too excited to devour it and forget to feed the camera first! Things I've tried: *Shrimp tacos - very lightly breaded and so delicious! The sauce and the cheese between the tortillas makes it perfection! *Fish tacos - breaded, but it's the perfect ratio. Wow another hit on monument blvd. This place is super crowded on a Saturday afternoon but the food still came out fast and delicious. The sauce for the Camarones Diabla was spicy and flavorful. Staff were friendly. We ordered a tostada with shrimp. Good but it is served cold. The chili relleno came with a side of rice and beans. Later they bought out fresh hot tortillas but my food was nearly done by then. Surprisingly, no roja sauce, just regular red and green salsa. Recommendation: will not repeat. read more

This was my husband's and I first time trying out Taqueria Mariscos. We will be returning customers. Ceviche portions were generous, fresh, had a great amount of lime taste, and the spice level was perfect. We initially came here to try the ceviche, but once we saw they have molcajete, we had to order one. The molcajete packed a ton of flavor, was overall delicious, and came with fresh homemade tortillas. Ambiance was giving authentic Mexican food, bonus points there. my dad and I were looking for the Pancho Villa that was supposedly in this plaza, we were thinking that it would be the same one as the location in San Mateo and San Francisco. After driving around the plaza so many times we couldn't find it, finally, I looked on yelp and saw that it had a low rating. We ended up just settling for the Taqueria which had higher ratings. One of the things that I really liked the most was a cucumber aguas frescas! A little too sweet but if I had it more water, it would be totally perfect. I ended up getting the shrimp plate, the shrimp wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but the battered taco had some decent flavor with this kick spread Not sure what I would go back for but maybe next time I will just play it safe with street tacos! read more

The staff here is very nice and accommodating. Their English is not very good because when asked to replace my re-fried beans with whole pinto beans, we didn't get the pinto beans until our 3rd request when they finally understood. That was the third person we spoke to but she always had a smile on her face. My Diablo shrimp was very sour and had no real flavor, the shrimp was huge and plentiful (8 shrimp) but they were terribly overcooked and rubbery. The sides were good. My husband loved their super steak quesadilla and enjoyed the sauces very much. Huge portions. Both my friends enjoyed their meals of a burrito and Chile rellano. Loved their outdoor tent and comfortable chairs. Just go early as the tent is small to avoid crowds. read more

I have been a frequent customer of this place for a few years now however, I had previously gotten food poisoning from here a couple of years ago. I decided it was a fluke and gave them other chances. However, last night I ordered from them again, a chicken, quesadilla, and about three hours after eating it, I will become extremely ill, having diarrhea and vomiting all night. Obviously, being this is the second time I've gotten food poisoning from the same place they are not cooking their food thoroughly and or they're using old food. If the owner of this restaurant reads this, you need to make sure that you're cooking chicken to 165° and making sure that you wash it and prep it beforehand. You are feeding the general public and making people sick. This restaurant needs to have a health inspection done immediately. Never going here and would not recommend anyone going here unless you want to chance getting food poisoning which I have gotten twice from eating here. read more

To me, the Monument Boulevard corridor in Concord is probably the best spot for Mexican food east of the Caldecott Tunnel. From Tacos El Patron to Tortilleria El Molino to Mercado Del Sol, there are plenty of good options in this tiny enclave. And now, you can add Taqueria Mariscos to that list. Despite the low number of reviews, my Yelp buddy Melissa N. and I decided to give this place a try on 12/18/2019 at 1 pm. Initially, I thought this place was next to Tortilleria El Molino. But as it turned out, it's next to OK Cafe instead. We were greeted by the owner upon entering. The place wasn't huge. The interior was clean, colorful, and bright. Seating was made up of half a dozen tables or so. A huge menu with pictures and English descriptions was mounted on the wall left of the entrance. Their menu featured a wide array of seafood and meat dishes plus other regular fare like tacos and burritos. The owner was very helpful and gave us a few recommendations. I decided to get the Steak Fajitas ($14.99) while Melissa opted for the Camarones Al Ajo (garlic shrimp plate, $13.99). My fajita plus a drink was a little over $21 (with tax and tip). Our food was cooked to order and was ready in about 10 minutes. The fajitas came with half a dozen corn tortillas and a plate of rice and beans. The steak was thinly sliced, stir fried with onions and bell peppers, and served on a sizzling platter. Overall, it was delicious with a noticeable tomatoey tang. The onions and bell peppers were perfectly tender. The only flaw was the meat was just a tad dry (not too bad). The rice and beans were excellent. Melissa's dish featured seven plump shrimps smothered in cooked chopped garlic plus all the fixings. Judging from how clean the plate was after the meal, she must have really liked it! The owner was very friendly. We were the only non-Latino customers and she made us feel welcomed from the second we walked in. Really glad to have tried this place out. I thought the food was overall delicious and the service was excellent. This place will be added to my regular Mexican rotation from now on. It was the 4th of July and I was craving Mexican food! This was the only place I could find in the area before heading to Concord Pavilion to see the fireworks show! They were pretty busy so we had to wait awhile for our order. The burritos were pretty great and authentic. The only bummer was they put spicy sauce for my husband so we had to trade burritos because it was too hot haha. I enjoyed the Al pastor and carne asada though. read more

Came here a few nights ago with my bf and stopped by, we were craving Mexican food and this spot looked really good. We came in a few minutes before closing and the waiter was really nice not giving us any attitude since it was close to closing. She was really nice and gave us good customer service. The heat level and serving size are unparalleled, and their salad/rice/bean sides are great too. The staff here is friendly, and there is a small patio at the front, plus an awesome bar in the back (owned separately). We tried this place after seeing it recommended on a local FB group about great fish tacos. I've never seen this place so it was a great find. Located in the same shopping center was El Molino Supermarket. Staff was friendly when we came in. There were so many offerings it was a little overwhelming so I opted to try the fish tacos (trio) and shrimp tacos (trio) to go. Food was ready in about 10 mins and hot. Once I unpacked the food we were ready to eat. The presentation was great with the foil around each taco keeping them upright so the filling doesn't spill out is genius! Why doesn't everyone do this? Loved how they came with fresh avocados, love avocado! Fish tacos were good, fish had a crispy batter (more panko than tempura type). I do wish it had more sauce and a mild salsa. The salsas we had were too spicy for us. If you love spice you'll be happy! They did have a bit of a kick from the sauce on the taco already. Overall good fish taco packed with fish but needed some seasoning and salt. The shrimp tacos were even better. Giant, giant shrimp! They do not skimp here. Again, wish there was more sauce since the salsas were too spicy for us to use. Shrimp also needed a little more seasoning but overall was pretty damn good. I enjoyed these more than the fish. Overall the best shrimp tacos I've had so far. This place is solid. I would rate this more as 3.5 rather than 3 but it has to be pretty amazing for a 4 lol. I drive by this place every time I go to Costco and was always curious. I recently came back from a trip where there aren't a lot of Mexican food options. I love seafood and Mexican food, so where was it better than a place whose name means 'seafood' in Spanish? I walked in, and the employees immediately greeted me in the politest way possible. They were really friendly, and I needed some time to think about what I wanted, and they were patient as I read off their menu what they had. I chose a tostada mixta and a shrimp burrito. The ceviche was that perfect blend of sweet, salty, and acidic. The tostada was incredible, and you could taste its freshness. Finally, that shrimp burrito was INCREDIBLE. I was a little worried because the menu said it came with sauca a la diabla, and I'm not really good with spice, but this fear was overblown. It was a great balance of spices that didn't overwhelm the flavor. The shrimp was clearly fresh because when I took that first bite, I was immediately transported back to Ensenada, where they're known for their seafood. I'm definitely a fan of this place, and will find my way back here again. read more

There are many taquerias in the area, and many are just okay. We LOVE this one and seem to end up here almost every weekend. The fish tacos are amazing and are the best we have had outside of Cabo. Very fresh, with lots of cabbage and great salsa. Eat them there because they probably won't travel well and you will miss out on the crunchy fish and soft tortilla shell. You have to get three, so share or come hungry and eat them all. Delicious. If you're going to take it home I love the Chile Relleno. The sauce is yummy and a little bit different from other places I've been. The Bistec Ranchero is also delicious and a big portion. These come with rice, beans, and tortillas that are also very good. My brother and I drove all the way out here just to try Taqueria Mariscos. It was on the side of the plaza so it took us a good minute to find the exact location. I ordered the fajitas mixtas with all the meats (chicken, steak, shrimp). Before the food came out, my brother asked me if he thinks I'm going to be full after eating here, and indeed I was. The portion was HUGE. It was served on a skillet with beans, rice, chile, and warm house made tortilla on the side. The fajitas had a variety of veggies, bell peppers, onions, and others and it was a big mix of everything delicious. However, the thing that stood out to me the most was the beans. They were mixed with cheese and it was all oozing with delicious goodness. It was savory, cheesy, and almost tasted like mashed potatoes but better. I ate them with the tortilla and it served to be the perfect side to be eaten with. The fajitas themselves were delicious as well and everything complemented everything on the skillet. It had the nice fire-y skillet flavor that any food cooked over an open flame should have. I would 100% make the drive and come back again. read more
