We went on the 40th anniversary weekend and celebrated with the fans. We got hungry in the afternoon desperately trying to find an open sit down restaurant to catch a meal. Seems like one of the few places open was this family Mexican restaurant called Armando's. We were thankful to be able to rest and replenish ourselves. We didn't need much but a large appetizer so we ended getting the Super Nachos with shredded beef ($1 extra). The service was impeccable and I appreciated the chips and salsa they brought out beforehand. These days a lot of Mexican restaurants stop doing that for free, but not Armando's. Plenty of parking on the street too. Classic Mexican decor makes it a great place to stop by and eat. If you are in Brownsville for any reason, I totally recommend grabbing a meal here.
