A friend recommended this place so i decided to grab breakfast here on the way to the airport. It's north of JSC and south of the airport. Perfect stop and putting it in my regular rotation! Great food, great service, great prices! The place is well lite and has TVs playing children's shows in Spanish. Customers were speaking Spanish. Relatively empty on an early Saturday morning. The menu was clean and looked new. There were many choices. Still taking my friends advice, I went with the eggs and chorizo breakfast. It included delicious perfectly fried potatoes, 2 strips of bacon, and refried beans. And of course tortillas. I chose flour. While I awaited this deliciousness to arrived, they served chips and salsa. The salsa was yummy and obviously homemade. I loved that I could see the chopped onions and taste the fresh cilantro. Hands down, my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in the South Houston area! I've been coming here more often than I like to admit. I blame the pregnancy cravings. This baby has me eating Mexican food all the the time...like all the freaking time. I practically live here! What makes them different from other Mexican restaurants a few blocks down the street? Food always taste the same here and consistency is key. The pollo guisado(stewed chicken) is good, even down to the Spanish rice. Did I mentioned how much I love their pollo guisado? I also love their homemade corn and flour tortillas. The chips come out warm because who likes cold tortilla chips? Let's not forget about that creamy spicy green hot sauce in the squeeze bottle. Sweet baby Jesus, this sauce is insanely good here! Not a lot of Mexican restaurants has this particular type of hot sauce and when they do, it's not as good, creamy nor spicy. The food is served fast, the manager, and waitstaff are friendly. There are a few times when there is language barrier where the waitress couldn't understand me when I asked for no beans in my burrito. Luckily for me, my husband is with me to translate. Non speaking Spanish folks with a huge problem with it, put that chip off your shoulder and just enjoy the darn food! I love this restaurant. I know I will always leave full and completely satisfied! You could drink the salsa...it is that amazing! Who cares if the waitresses don't speak English, the menu is in both English and Spanish so it is easy to navigate. I had the Molcajete and it was so Mayjah! The platter fed two of us and there was still another meal left over. Decent Taqueria, food is cheap, chips and salsa are delicious (also comes with several bottles of home-made sauce you can mix into your salsa, for spice and other flavors). They serve low-quality nacho cheese (like what you'd expect from a highschool football game) with the chips/salsa, which isn't any good, but you can't say its a minus since it's free. They have good daily lunch specials as well. read more

Went on a Sunday. Pretty packed but no wait. Place is small but the seating is set up correct to fit a good amount of customers. Food is authentic . Chips are the bomb! Pico Salsa given with chips is watered down. Service...... slow. Took some time to get our food approximately 30+ minutes. Drinks were only refilled once and that was after we already started eating our food. The green salsa is really tasty and a little spicy but not too spicy . Restrooms are small. Environment is more social talking . No music playing. It's not loud in the restaurant. I seen some dj lighting so I'm guessing on the weekend they have someone here playing music. read more

I ordered a Burrito California explicitly said "NO sour cream" twice. The burrito gets here laden with sour cream. Sent it back. Then I get it back with No sour cream, no cheese or avocado. At this point every one else is done with their food and I'm not even hungry. Service just keeps getting shittier and shittier. Its a damn shame. read more

This place is always busy. The beef fajita tacos are really good, and now that I've learned how to say "with grilled onions" in Spanish they are exactly the way I want them. The Guacamole and red sauce are good, the green sauce burns. Good food. read more

Came here because it's the only place that had several cars parked outside coming from my dad's house. Should have just waited till I got back to our side of town. Ordered two potato and egg bfast plates and a machacado plate. Another waitress returns with the machacado plate and two potato and egg tacos. I informed her that was not right. So she took went to check. Then she brings me a side of beans. Then I asked where's the rest she looks puzzled like she doesn't understand me. The menu clearly states: bfast plate comes with refried beans, sliced potatoes, and your side of ham or bacon. From there it just went downhill. Until the moment i left, she still hadn't corrected our order. Never came back to check on us. Food was fair I guess, was barely warm if that. Least she could have done was offered to ammend our ticket, yeah not even that. NEVER visiting this place again. read more

When I walked in with my mom and brother the waitress was very welcoming, she even opened the door while I pushed my brother in because he is in a wheel chair. She took our order and was very attentive. The food was great and she came back to check on us once because then she went on break which is understandable, no complaints there. My complain was about the second waitress who came check on us because we requested a to go cup and she came back with the cup and had an attitude. My second complain is about the manager himself ... he was at the register and I paid for or food with a card and didn't leave a tip on the receipt . On my way out I had to open the door my self and push my brother out on my own with him just staring at me struggle. My mother was in the bathroom so that's why she couldn't help me. Now I have done this plenty of times alone but I found it rude that he didn't bother to help. And I did leave a tip I walked over to the first waitress who helped me at the beginning and handed her the tip. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. read more

i am just guessing this place has upgraded since the last reviews. i enjoy this place. it is afterall a taqueria. i have tasted the nachose there, chicken and ground beef, they were bpoth delicious. my main dish is the enchiladas verdes.....they are great. i have to say all their salsas, are great. different spice leevls i always take the green salsa to go, it is that good. i know it is not noirmal to go to a taqueria and order this but i always get myself orange juice, they have the juicer there and it is a good tasting juice that is just excellent. i like this place. whenever u are in pasadena try it. it will almost always be packed read more
