My hubby wanted to try this place out after hearing good things and I am so glad he did. We dined in so we were given complimentary chips and salsa AND charro beans. It wasn't even just a small little sample either, it was a big bowl of deliciousness. It reminded me of the beans my mom makes so they taste like authentic Mexican. By the time my tacos came, I was already kind of full from just the beans, so if you are dining in, pace yourself! I ordered their 4 taco combo and had barbacoa and carne asada. I liked that they give you all fixings on the side. After adding my lime,cilantro, and salsa, I went it. Oh my goodness. So good, especially the barbacoa tacos. Yes, it was dripping grease, but that's what made it so good. The customer service was great. Our server was so nice and constantly checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 for only two reasons. Bathrooms were clean, but there was no changing table. Parking can be a little difficult with a food truck in the back when you drive an SUV. But this place is still worth checking out for the delicious food and great customer service. Highly recommend! read more

The best Mexican food I have EVER eaten, hands down. The marinade on the Al Pastor Trompo was so complex and had such an expert hand balancing it that I wanted to meet the cook and give them some love. I never review but I enjoyed this place so much and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw any bad reviews- which seem to be about staff. I couldn't care less about service- that applies everywhere, I'm there for the food. Saddam Hussein could be angrily serving me and I'd come back if the food is good, and this food is fantastic. If you want 5 star service go to a fancy restaurant, they can kiss your butt there- you're paying for it. Little businesses like this are giving you awesome authentic food at an affordable price in a clean environment- I have total respect. And get the house speciality, it's something you'll remember! read more

Good price, food is okay. What I didn't like is that the all the cashier women literally have a dirty mind or I don't know if this happens often but once I paid the food I needed to go use the restroom which I of course went into the women's restroom. My partner was in the men's restroom as he gave me his card to pay in order to use the restroom as we were coming from a long drive and couldn't hold it any longer so I had to wait for the food to be ready before I decided to also go use the restroom before continuing our road trip. Tell me how they were knocking on the door thinking that we were doing sinful things in the restroom when they saw me going into the women's restroom 15 minutes after my partner was already in the men's restroom! He literally got out first in the men's restroom and immediately called me if I was almost done because everyone was suddenly giving him weird stares and felt the atmosphere shifted really quickly. I then got out and female employees were literally staring with a very fucking judgmental stare as I was getting out of the women's bathroom! I immediately caught onto what they assumed was happening. I swear you CAN'T even take a SHIT in peace I hope they read this and do better because how dirty does your mind have to be to assume shit when literally the cashier has a clear view on the women's restroom as she clearly saw me go inside! If you go to the restaurant you will see the men's restroom is right on the right side(which will be your left side when paying) of the cashier so how does that make sense when they clearly saw me go into the women's restroom that was also on the right side(your left) but the door where they have a clear view in front for them to see who goes in and who goes out! read more

Poor quality meat. We tried asada, barbacoa, trompo, and lengua. Unless you are so hungover you can't taste what you're eating, this place is not it. Churro cheese cake 10.00 for a small tray of three small strips of "churro cheesecake. Taste was terrible. Not sure how this place is still going. It's not what it once was. read more

It looks a bit sketchy from the outsIde, I KNOW. They have bars on the windows and a small parking lot. HOWEVER, the food is really good!!! This is where we visit for al pastor quesadillas, they're so delicious!! They serve you chips with dip, cilantro and onions before you get your entree. As for drinks, it's not a "free refill" situation, you buy your drink from a bottle or can. Just a heads up. Today was such a sweet visit because they were playing Christian-Spanish music! I don't know if they play it just on Sundays or all the time or even if it was just for us, but it was really cool! I appreciated it a lot. Ordered for pick-up for dinner, their service was friendly and helpful. The food was ready by the time we got there for pick-up. Food was fresh, only thing was the portions were smaller than expected. And the meat wasn't that flavorful. We tried barbacoa, chicken, carne asada, and al pastor. The al pastor was my favorite. We also tried their horchata and it was on the less sweet side, more milky with lots of ice. read more

Second time at this location both visits we had horrible waitress forget part of the order and drinks. The cashier is rude just gave excuses of why we had a bad experience because they are short staff but not once she she come behind the counter to help. She never apologized or ask how she could make the next experience better.Also was very hot asked for ice for my drink and gives me a few pieces of ice. I will not be going back! read more

This place is my favorite taco place to go too. The waitresses are really nice but one of them gave me a vibe that she was scared to mess up because they get in trouble. She said they did get in trouble so she was always checking up that everything was correct. Nobody should feel scared when working at their job. Whoever managers the store needs to be nicer to their employees and train them more so they feel comfortable doing their job. read more

Walked in the restaurant with my family tried to sit at a table. We where told we could not sit at a table until our food was ready. What kind of restaurant does not allow you to sit and order? Cashier lady had the worst attitude. Apparently she is the owner, you would think she would set the example for everyone else but I guess not. My family an I decided to leave and not order anything. W O W! As a southern Cali native, new to Texas I've been constantly on the hunt for my comfort food... MEXICAN FOOD! The property is super tiny! Everyone was friendly and quick. A small quaint menu , the tacos were heaven on earth! Served with frijoles de olla were a tasty surprise! Bacon and jalapeños simmered together ! And lastly I tried their lemonade ! I've been waiting to try Taqueria Temo for over a year and I honestly thought they only had a food truck, BUT THEY HAVE AN ACTUAL RESTAURANT!?! I had no idea until my boyfriend took me after I mentioned wanting to try the food truck. This cute little restaurant is so colorful and homey we just had to dine in, and I'm so glad that we did. After you're seated you get a basket of chips and some yummy salsa verde. YUM. I was really having an extensive debate about what to get, quesadilla or torta, or maybe even a burrito? So many choices! I finally decided on a asada torta with a barbacoa street taco while my boyfriend had a asada quesadilla and street taco. The food came out hot and absolutely delicious. My goodness. I understand the hype. The asada torta was fully loaded with meat, avocado, pickled jalapeños, some tomato slices and mayo. I LOVE that the bread was toasted, if you know me you'd know my love for toasted bread hahaha. The quesadilla was piping hot, crispy, and yummy but it doesn't come with any sour creme so it was a bit lacking. The tacos came with onions and cilantro on the side. I decided to add those along with the salsa verde to my torta and YAAAAS. Perfection. By the end a lot of meat had fallen out of my torta so of course I ate that with the chips, onions, salsa, and cilantro so I had a little thing of nachos :D Overall I feel like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I ordered 4 tacos and i after i had already took a bite found hair in food and had to send three waiters just make sure it was true then they took the plate and we're still charging me for it and a whole other plate as well when I told them it was wrong she said no and insisted we pay $40 for 8 tacos and didn't even keep my 4. So I've been wanting to stop by this place for sone time. Being that it's close to diamond hill jarvis HS. Plus it looks like a dive from the street. I got burritos and tacos of al pastor. Waited a little. Was it cuz short on taquero that was posted. Shrug. It's really clean inside. Tidy. At 11:00 am. I'm gave this place the benefit of the doubt despite taking a long time on the to go order. They blamed the kitchen and that an order had come in before I ordered. Ok. But I am here now. Anyway. For my order, I got the spicy tikka chicken, buffalo chicken, and an order of chips and guac. The tikka chicken tacos are a MUST. The flavor is great and, for me, the basmati rice is perfect tie-in for texture in the taco. I got three of them. I got one of the buffalo chicken just to change things up. It was good as well. No complaints with it. I just think the tikka is really the star of the show. Lastly, the chips and guac were tasty as well - I mean, how can you go wrong with chips and guac? Overall, would order again - Velvet Taco is a go-to for fusion tacos.

They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
