    3 Taco Dinner

Always quick and authentic! We love coming here often when we crave a good taco and burrito. I always get the 2 tacos dinner carne asada. The food comes out fast and hot. All of it is authentic. They have taken us as a group of 14 and got it done effortlessly. Highly recommend!

I've been ordering delivery from Traspasado for at least 8 years. After tonight, I will never order from here again. I ordered 2 tacos and a burrito. For all 3 items, I paid extra for avocado. When the food arrived, I literally had to dig around to find the avocado. They added a thumbnail size piece of avocado in all 3. For almost $2 each, that's insane and incredibly disrespectful. The food was tasteless. Even their famous black salsa was lacking in flavor. I'm not sure what happened to Traspasada but I will be taking my business elsewhere. This place is overpriced and tasteless.

Close by and an easy choice for a quick bite to eat. I loved their Elote, and their Horchata was sweet without being overly sweet. Gorditas were good, and portions and pricing were reasonable. Service was nice.

There is a buy one get one free special plate special on instacart , I bought 6 plates, I know three are free My total still came up to $60 since I ordered a tamale place and 2 tacos and 2 aguas frescas, my taco specials were Milanesa, I know it's a special but the quantity of meat on the taco was embarrassing.. never ordering again from here, so disappointed I could have easily spend my money somewhere else to get at least a good decent taco, my family was in shock when they opened the plates.

I have driven past this place a few times and was intrigued by the "black salsa" sign. Tonight was the night to try this place! First of all, this place is much cleaner than I expected. It looks like this place is mostly carry out, but have a nice number of tables. You get the famous black salsa for free along with some tasty tomato noodle soup. Nice start! I was mixed on the salsa, but liked that it was different than most. It's very smoky with some heat. We also got guacamole which we had to add more salt and spice which was fine, but it was fresh and colorful. We also got margaritas (strawberry and peach). I thought they were ok, but I appreciate trying different flavors. I went with the taco dinner with carne asada. I had a high bar, but thought it was good, but not great. I thought it was a little greasy, but the meat was cut perfectly. It was also a pretty fair price so I liked them. My dad got tamales which he loved. My mom got elotes which was probably the best dish. My dad isn't a big spice fan so he appreciated being able to add his own spice to his dish. The service was surprisingly good. Nice and fast too! We will be back with the whole family soon!

I ordered the 3 taco dinner and 3 tacos. The service was great. Once we sat down we were immediately greeted and handed chips and salsa. The salsa is somewhat on the spicy side so be careful! The food was so fresh. It came out within 10 minutes after we placed the order. Everything was hot and fresh and flavorful. Nothing was dry, the steak was tender and juicy. I'll definitely be returning here if I am in the area!

Wow, food was so good! Stopped in for dinner. They provided chips /salsa & a soup -- all were delicious! Then we ordered burrito & tamales to share. Burrito was amazing - meat was super crispy. Enjoyed the tamales too. I would skip the drinks - margarita / sangria were average & had a little bit too much flavor to it. Service was quick despite a lot of people being in the restaurant Would def come back for the food!

Bomb tacos filled pretty well. The guacamole is tasty too. They have drinks here as well. Beer, and looks like pre mixed margaritas. The dining room is large, with tons of windows. Don't park next door in the supermarket though, you will get towed.

The staff here is so nice and I think is the only Mexican joint I've ever been to that offers complimentary soup. It was incredibly heartwarming especially during winter in Chicago. The black salsa is what drew me to try this place and it was definitely a tasty treat! I ended up ordering the 3 taco dinner and got to try a variety of their meats including steak, lengua and fried tripe. All of them were excellent. Parking in the area is easy and some streets are FREE! Horchata here is also awesome - not too sweet!

    Carne Asada Taco

I tried going to one of their locations on Ashland a while back, but it was small and no seating for the kiddos so I went to another place and I almost took all Traspasadas off the list. I'm very glad I didn't. I ordered my usual, three tacos. One Asada, one al pastor and one lengua. The al pastor was great. Good flavor and plenty of meat. Their lengua was cooked properly and very tasty. The star of the show was their carne Asada. A perfectly grilled and seasoned arrachera meat topped with cebolla y cilantro. Every bite was perfect and regretted ordering the other two meats. Carne Asada from now on at this joint. Like more yelpers have stated, their black salsa is insanely delicious. I usually judge a salsa by how spicy it is because it usually adds an extra kick to a bite, the black salsa is beyond all of that. The black salsa truly has flavor. It doesn't need heat. Words can't explain the flavors with the black salsa on those carne Asada tacos. I'll be back very soon!

Time to be seated was less than five minutes for a party of four around 2:20 PM on a Sunday; busier times or days enforce their 90 minute time limit policy per table. The food was well seasoned, wish I tasted it a little more on the meat itself, yet all the vegetables tasted crisp and fresh. If you are looking to have intimate conversations be prepared to speak a lot louder, the DJ booth by the front keeps it pretty lively, but difficult to hold conversations across the table. Open authentic Mexican soda is always refreshing, and if you're looking for a place that has soft serve margaritas this is one of them. If you notice and unusual wait time or slow service please make your choice accordingly as I started to notice it was a case by case basis like some of the previous reviews had mentioned.

Both adults and the VERY picky children in our group all enjoyed our meals. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas and the other adult ordered a chile relleno combo, which I also got to try. Everything was delicious and devoured by all! We were so full but the owner talked us into the chocoflan, and we did not regret trying it. It was soooo good! Speaking of the owner, the service was great. We really enjoyed how he and the rest of the staff were very courteous. It is a small establishment, and it gets a good amount of people, so I assume that there are waits during peak hours. I highly recommend Sabroso! And we plan to return the next time we are in the area.
