Nothing really has changed with the food. You can't go wrong. Every dish is perfect. The problem is with the side items: $6 for a bottle of soda (any flavor). $5.00 for a side of sour cream. You can buy 8 oz. of sour cream at the store for $2.50 so the side dishes and the beverages are a real rip off. The best thing is that they always have two pitchers of ice water standing by and they do give free chips and salsa if you dine inside. The TV is always on some Spanish channel, mostly news and soccer. I usually get the super burrito but you will need a knife as well as a fork to tackly this bad boy. Plenty enough for two people. Very limited parking off N. 85th Street and 3rd Ave. NW shared with one other business. Consistently delicious, affordable food and my go-to Mexican restaurant when I am in North Seattle. I haven't found anything comparable down here in White Center or West Seattle, but I am still looking. read more

Absolutely Disgusting . 3 baby roaches fled from the bag upon unpacking the soup itself . Once I attempted to remove the lid from the container the soup was filled to the brim of the container I couldn't even open it without being burned by scolding hot broth. No corn or tortillas were included with this 19$ soup ... Meat was grey and over cooked super chewy not tender whatsoever. Couldn't even bother throwing in a couple hot sauce packs . The plate came to me with so much cheese completely covering the chips as well as the ground beef that was on the bottom of the plate that was sitting in grease, my tortilla chips were wet and soggy when trying to eat them. Taqueria Tequila hit the spot when I was tuned up for some enchiladas. I was so hungry I even got an additional couple of Tacos. Got one of their IPAs to sip along with it. Everything hit the spot. Molè enchiladas weren't the best I've had, but very good otherwise. The chorizo Tacos I feel could've been a bit more hearty for the price but were also good nonetheless. No free chips and salsa like some restaurants have is a tiny let down too and is always a nice touch. What I do like is the ginormous menu when you walk in, similar to a fast food restaurant where you look up at it and tell the cashier what you want. You can even just tell them the number to help with possible language barriers. This was a great place for a long time, until one of their regular workers continually had a bad attitude and now I refuse to come back here. I order lunch burritos here all the time and the same employee just always has a bad attitude. I always tip them, I always smile and this employee just hates her life, clearly. After paying full price $19 for 1 burrito (they no longer offer the lunch special) I asked for a small side of chips. She laughed and said no. I asked if I could buy them and she continued to argue with me about me not having ordered them. I ended up paying $5 for a child's side bag of chips, happily. This place is underrated AF. I'm constantly ordering them from Grubhub and they are consistent every. single. time. Great prices for the quality of food (I hope this doesn't change any time soon)! Alexander Plate is my FAVE But the pollo la crema and tacos here are also bomb. The pictures I've seen posted on here of their tacos do NOT do them justice. Plus they actually answer the phone if I have questions about the menu, need to add something to my order, etc. My ONLY complaints: Their Pozole is way too oily (I know it's supposed have a lil fat from the meat, since it's puerco, but not this much- I'm literally Mexican) and lacks salt but that's easily fixed at home + limon. That and they don't give you enough salsa for the amount of chips they send when you order chips & salsa. Just give me one medium or large sized container instead of 4+ tiny little cups that will often break open in the bag. However, the fact that they provide you with ALL the sides one would need for pozole, including cabbage NOT lettuce (gag) like some of these other places, ruled out any negatives for me along with the price. FINALLY!!! A fxcking decent burrito in Seattle. Since discovering this place (two weeks) I've been back 3-4 times. They have an extensive menu - I'm a burrito girl and I have to say The #26 Burrito Supreme kicks ass. I make slight modifications to my order - use black beans instead of refried beans, no cheese and no sauce smeared on the top (yuck). Just give me the burrito please. The guac and salsa are top notch. Just the right kick for me on the salsa. The staff and service is phenomenal too - very helpful in making selections and/or changes. The main reason why I love Taquería Tequila? Campechana! The tomatoey soup is chock full of octopus and prawns swimming in a rich broth with diced veggies and savory goodness. The shrimp quesadilla is another favorite, and it's full of shrimp too. It contains just the right amount of cheese in a tender flour tortilla with shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and guacamole on the side. So delicious. Start with some chips and guacamole. All their salsas are yummy, and the whole beans are a tasty treat. Taquería Tequila has been on my list of top neighborhood joints for several years now, and I have enjoyed a dozen or so meals, both in the restaurant and ordered to go. It's great fun to sit at the bar that adjoins the main room. You'll have that to look forward to one day soon! This was probably the worst experience I've had recently in Seattle. We walked into the bar and it didn't have a feel good vibe and I regret not walking out as soon as I walked in. It was so bright in there. We sat at the bar there was 4 of us. I asked the bartender if they make a good margarita and she said yes. She turns around and pours it out of a plastic container. As soon as she poured it I was like what is that?! I was thinking a margarita from scratch since it's a Mexican restaurant. She handed us menus thinking we might eat. The drink was so sweet and not good at all I asked for a shot of tequila to make it worth my while. She came back once and we ordered shots of tequila. She didn't come back at all to even get our food order! I wanted to say what are you doing?! The bar is separate from the restaurant so she was over on the other side. Just a weird lay out. We also used the bathrooms and they were so gross and the place was just nasty. Not sure how the health department doesn't go in there. We had to track her down to get the bill. I almost went ballistic when I saw the bill and how expensive it was!!! Crappy service & crappy drinks. Waste of money. I think I paid $22 for a margarita and a shot to add to it. Insane. Was in the neighborhood and a craving for some Mexican. Gorditos looked closed so I kept driving and was super excited to find the Taqueria! The menu looked terrific and the photos were great. I choose something a little healthy in grilled chicken and vegetables and rice and beans and a Fanta. The price of $14.99 struck me as a little high for a taqueria for just the entree and with the Fanta I was in almost $20? It's typical in a taqueria to pay in advance and I did with tip. The salsa selection was very nice as I grabbed a few with some jalapeños and found a very comfortable booth by the window. It wasn't busy, and the food came out shortly, they brought it to my table. The food was good, the chicken was fresh and firm and it tasted good, not super flavorful. The corn tortillas were a bit dried out, not sure why that happens but they were good also. As sometimes happens, I was a couple tortillas short as I got to finish my lunch. I waited in line with the tortilla container and got to the front, to ask for a few tortillas. I half expected to pay for them and wasn't surprised that they charged me for them, this is probably also a taqueria thing? They gave me four so I wasted half.
