We had a great time here! The staff is super friendly (even at 4 on a Friday) and the food is amazing! I took the kids there to try the burritos (they had a food truck that came to my job a few years ago) and they loved what they got. I didn't realize before we dined in that their tequila bar has 49 different kinds of tequila! Will have to come back for more than just a margarita (which was on the rocks with a sugar rim and mixed perfectly!!!). Definitely worth a stop.

Definitely going to make this place one of my regulars. The food is a prepared with qualuty fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu. Didn't think I'd ever be thankful for traffic on 275, wouldn't have found this little gem if not.

For a small, local bar, it is clean, and the music is not too loud. They have a good food menu, and offer 2Dogs hot sauce out of Ferndale! The food is plentiful, and tastes good! Coming back for sure

I must say I was not disappointed. The food was amazing! Whoever the cook is, thank you Babe! Together we had the lamb chops, catfish bites, fried okra, house salad and a chicken quesadilla. Most importantly our waitress Foxxy was the best. I was absolutely impressed with how she constantly checked in on us. Made sure we had water and everything we needed without us having to ask. I'm really big on customer service and she really exceeded our expectations. This is a nice spot for an after work experience. We we're fresh off of a long day of work. The ambiance is nice. We will definitely be back!

I was gonna chance it , but the day before I got a text saying the booths were 60% sold out. So I went ahead and bought a booth . We get there after 10 and had to pay to enter because the birthday list is before 10pm. Get inside and outside of staff , there was 6 other ppl there! They were out of the most popular food items . I waited 20 mins to get a waitress. I tell her it's a birthday and inquire about the free bottle. She asks what kind I want and I say tequila if they have it. She comes back to the table multiple times and says she's still checking on the bottle . On the final time she asks what kind again , I tell her tequila and she says they only have moscato and the free bottle is wine . I ask if they can upgrade to tequila in light of the booth and lack of booth situation, food, and lack of ppl. She says no but I can purchase house tequila bottle of Jose quervo for $300! I said absolutely not! Trying to salvage the night I asked for 4 shots which should have been $36. They charged me gratuity 25% at that ! , mind you I went up to the bar because the waitress kept disappearing. Worst birthday party ever!

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We waited over 60 minutes for our food despite there only being about three other occupied tables. My chicken Caesar wrap was served burnt on one side, and it appeared that it had been intentionally plated with the burnt side facing down to conceal it. I also waited approximately 10 minutes just to receive a side of dressing and never received my water refill despite requesting one. When I politely asked if I could receive a discount on my burnt meal due to the poor quality and service, my concerns were not properly addressed after talking to 3 different servers they offered me a "already ready" wrap with grilled chicken instead of fried like I ordered and it was also super greasy from their "homemade dressing" . Additionally, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to my bill for a party of two, and I did not see any signage or receive any notice regarding this policy. My second time there will Never be back!!

I have some pretty wild fantasies, y'all. There's that one I've had since I was a kid, where I wake…read moreup and I'm suddenly the second-best at every instrument in the world (I refuse to take first place because those folks worked hard to get there). Then there's the one I've had since adulthood, where I get to be the guest star in some hot couple's marital bed (don't judge me, I haven't thought this through at all and have no one in mind). Sure, I've got the standard fantasies: hittin' it rich, quitting my day job, beating the pulp out of horrendous biotches who had it coming...you know, the uge. But one of my weirder ones is that I'm the lead singer in an Irish trad group, and I bring the house down by nailing every tongue-twister verse of The Rocky Road to Dublin. That's the type of fantasy that shows up when I'm waiting for my burger at Duffy's, staring at their year-round St. Patrick's Day décor. In that moment, I'm convinced I could pull it off...and I'd be a Plastic Paddy legend. Let's backtrack a sec. Duffy's already knew I was a slag for public recognition, so they blasted my (fake) name on their marquee about a month ago. I don't care if it was AI-generated or lasted a mere 24 hours. I was damp. Here's the problem: as popular as I like to imagine myself, I don't actually have many friends in town. That's what comes with accidentally infiltrating a social scene 300 miles from where I live. I knew if I went to Duffy's solo, I'd be the lonely noon-drinker at the bar. Luckily, the Mother Superior of the Lex herself answered my plea and met me for Saturday lunch (thanks, Jen). And thank God it was Detroit's Duffy's and not Chicago's. If you like having your drink tampered with by the captain of the lacrosse team, head to Chicago Duffy's. It sucks c*cks in hell. Detroit Duffy's, on the other hand, couldn't be more different. This place is everything I love about Detroit: self-effacing, affordable, straightforward, turning out an exemplary product with staff who are all heart and will remember you forever. Why the actual f*ck don't I live here? Jen and I slid into the end of the bar and started a bit of craic with the owners, Lauren and Brad. I didn't give them my full life story, but probably about 50% of it. I was not judged. I love you. Sorry, I say that too soon. Working on it. Anyrate, we ate our burgers, and it was a real "Come to Jesus" moment. A good burger can turn a whole day around. Add cheap beer and sharp conversation, and you've got the blue-ribbon recipe for a great f*cking afternoon. The highlight of my day was spotting a lone DeKuyper's bottle marked Crantasia. I had to say it aloud five times minimum. Can we please have a "Best Use of Crantasia" cocktail contest? Winner gets their own five-star review and a Keno ticket. The staff has reason to believe that this is the last bottle on earth. That feels like destiny to me. Truly, I could have spent the whole day (and night) shooting the shit with this lot, but The Lex was calling Jen home. Plus, it was still broad daylight, and I had driven myself there. I promised to return, rolled my wide Irish ass home, and fell straight into a food coma. So yeah, Duffy's gave me the burger, the beer, the conversation, and the reminder that even if I'm 300 miles from home, I can still stumble into the kind of place that feels like it's been waiting for me all along. That's no small thing. I'll be back soon, probably oversharing again, and definitely ordering another round.

When I asked why, in the rain, I couldn't park closer to the door, he indicated that it would be safer for me to pull out, since I was driving a large vehicle. He clearly assumed I couldn't drive my SUV. It would be safer for me as a female to not have to walk from the back of a lot where, judging by the wall and fence, has security issues. What made it worse, when I left, he wasn't even in the lot to make sure my lengthy walk to my big SUV was safe. But let's get inside. Went for Sunday brunch around 2pm. We were greeted by a friendly and cool waitress and to the sounds of Teddy Pendergrass, so all was forgiven. The buffet items could have been fresher, but I did arrive the last hour of brunch. For $21.99 you get a mimosa, one made to order omelette in addition to the buffet items. Everything was fried - chicken wings, perch, pork chops. I had all 3, wings and fish were ok, pork chops were dry. Sweet, soft waffles and good grits. Mac n cheese was a little dry, but good mixed into the grits. Again, maybe better if you go at beginning of brunch. Fruit plate was a nice one, featuring wonderful honeydew. Not enough veggies on the buffet. The staff was friendly and it seems like a fun place to come for their karaoke or comedy night. Since it was a buffet, I did not get to witness the slow service others have warned about. I can see that though. We had to find the waitress to pay the bill. It was nice to not be rushed and I'd rather friendly and slow than rude and rushing me out. I would come back to try the lamb chops and comedy. Just don't expect to get in and out.

Nicely decorated interior with high top tables on one side and a well stocked bar on the other. There is also a balcony like second floor with regular table seating. We visited on Sunday right at the 10am opening time. They were serving brunch so the normal menu wasn't available. Brunch was served buffet style in elegant silver chafing dishes lining the bar. Also, there was aside dessert display and an omelet station with omelettes made to order. When I walked along the bar and peeked into each dish one by one, I was pleasantly surprised. The buffet included grits, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, fried chicken waffles, fried catfish, salad, pasta salad, bow tie pasta marina with cheese, and green beans! Everything I tasted was fresh, hot and delicious. Drinks were extra. I ordered a mimosa and it was one of the best I've ever had. The service was impeccable. Our server was pleasant and attentive and open to any special requests we had. She even took our omelette order up to the station and delivered piping hot made to order omelettes back to our table. Once it started to fill up they should've added some help for her because she was working the whole place and it seemed like a quite a big job. It gets better...there was live jazz! And we learned that there is live music or a DJ every day l, except Monday when there is karaoke. We've definitely found a new favorite in Demi's!
