Burria Crispy Beef Birria Taco (1)

Absolutely electric birria taco from Taquisimo @ bow market. Being from California, it's hard to come by a good birria spot but this place is pretty dang close to west coast standards. Def coming back here next week- thanks for a baller taco

Fast service, reasonable price, piping hot delicious birria bowls! Also nice to order outside on a hot summer day. Limited outdoor seating and very popular when the weather is good. Very salty.

Tacos never miss and don't forget to pair with the homemade salsa!! The carne asada is my favorite but the variation of birria is so amazin Always great service even when they are swamped on the weekends.

Been wanting to try this place for a while now because it's hard to find good Birria tacos near Boston! This location is inside Bow Market in Somerville so it is very small. There are places to eat outside in the actual market but not inside. Food: We got 3 quesabirria tacos with consomé. The birria was juicy, flavorful, and soft. The consomé was warm and surprisingly not too salty. I was able to drink the consomé on its own. The tortilla also crisped up nicely but did get a little soggy 7.5/10. Price: It was $17 for 3 tacos and the consomé. This is way too pricey for me to buy this again. They were also a bit skimpy on the meat so it was not worth the price 6/10.

I had such a wonderful experience at Taquisimo last week! I had the pleasure of speaking with Chef Hiram, who walked me through his story and some of his favorite dishes on the menu. Taquisimo is a fairly unassuming storefront in Somerville's Bow Market and has some of the best Mexican (Tijuana) dishes I've ever had. There are 4 or 5 counter seats if you prefer an eating experience surrounded by the perfectly powerful scents of birria - or Bow Market has a number of seating options surrounding their outdoor fireplaces. I chose the former option and was able to try some menu favorites! My top 3 orders: Birria quesadilla: SO good. I am a big quesadilla girl, and this one did not disappoint. The pickled onions provided a fresh touch, and the cheese was perfectly proportioned to the birria filling. Birria tacos: The fresh consommé set these apart for me. As Hiram instructed, I squeezed the fresh lime on top of the tacos and then inside of the small cup of consommé (which was simply fresh broth from the birria cooking process), and it was one of the BEST taco experiences I think I've ever had. The tortillas were perfectly crispy, as well - just make sure not to wait too long to eat them, as you'll want them to stay hot! Churro & Mexican Hot Chocolate: I'm grouping these together, since I think they're a must to pair. Make sure you break open the churro RIGHT AWAY while it's still warm! Such a perfect winter dessert. Dipping the churro in the hot chocolate is just an all-time flavor combo. Thanks to Taquisimo for such a great experience - can't wait to return next time I head over to Bow Market!!

Birria just tasted like cinnamon. Salsas were fresh but lacked flavor and seemed water downed.

Incredible birria tacos. Among the best tacos I've had in Boston. Would absolutely be worth the stop.

Did not show up for many many years, suddenly I came here for Miso Ramen and bowl made my day. I ordered Regular size but I should have Large size, they have S, R, and L. Had to finish all soup. Kitchen work is super smooth in Zen spirit, soup and noodle was just perfect. Chashuu did not hit my new favorite bell but still good. Although I could use more green onion without upgrading order. Temperature of the soup and noodle done balanced well, I could not ask more. Great chef, staffs and very professional casual business mind, I will be coming back soon for Miso Ramen which I always have been asking at most of my Ramen Way All My LifeThanks !

Shoyu Tsukemen: The tsukemen noodles were much larger than the ramen noodles; a small portion had 200 grams of noodles, which were quite thick and chewy. The chashu叉焼 was stewed until tender, but the broth was extremely oily and had a strong porky smell, which was nauseating. Karaage: It was a little overcooked, but fresh and hot, so it was still pretty good. The sauce was a bit spicy, which was interesting. Aji-tama: The taste was neither good nor bad, but I found eggshell in it. After I reported this, the staff first asked if I had cut myself, and then readily gave me a refund, which was nice.

Both were full of flavor and really well done. My boyfriend ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and gave it a 3/5--he felt the broth was a bit basic and could have used more depth. Compared to our visit to the Chinatown location, the Harvard location was infinitely better. The food quality, wait time, and service were all top-notch, and the flavor profile overall was stronger. At Chinatown, we tried the Pork Gyoza (4/5), Samurao duck baos (4/5), signature ramen (3/5), and the sake (2/5). We'd definitely return to the Harvard location.

We weren't greeted or anything and we just stood there and waited until I asked if we could sit upstairs. I'm not sure if we were suppose to get seated on our own or what. The menus were paper and were really dirty, old, and ripping apart. Tables and chairs were sticky. We almost wanted to get up and leave but we decided to stay because we heard the ramen was good. Off the bat, the menu seems pretty limited compared to what we saw online (tik tok, instagram) so we didn't get to order what we came for. We went with a basic tonkotsu ramen and out of all 3 of us, we did not like the tonkotsu ramen. The broth didn't have much flavor and the noodles were bland, the only thing that saved the dish was the pork. We also got several appetizers, the chicken wings were really good. Overall, pretty disappointed. It was our first time here and we will not be coming back.
