Solid 4 stars from me. Food was really good. Service was quick. The inside is nothing special - but a few tables to eat at. Would return when/if in the area.

Taco Campechano - taco with chorizo and carnitas

Last 5 times I've been have been just out of the park. I've been a tough critic of Tenoch for years because some days are better than others. Sometimes you'll get a brisket taco and you'll feel like that the brisket was from the night before because it's kind of tough. However, 9 out of 10 times this place is rock your socks off. Just look at this pic, just perfection. Mind you....this is taco number two....it was so good I went back in and got another lol. Taco Campechano - chorizo and carnitas...out of this world.

Mmm mm mm the flavors are melting on my tongue!! Look at how gorgeous these tacos are !! Beautifully stuffed and garnished! Taco Asada 8/10 : Super flavorful and a tender, just needed a little more cream bc it was a little dry. Taco Pollo 9/10 : So so so so juicy! Nicely marinated and I loved the seasonings! A little hot but not spicy at all and it's a nice kick of flavor. Tacos Carnitas 10/10 : I loveee carnitas! Juicy and flavorful! The meat is tender and melts in your mouth! Torta Carnitas 8/10 : Could use a little more meat and a little more cheese, but overall the flavor was great and the bread is nice and toasted. Overall, I need more of that green crema! It was sooo good I could drink it on its own! I love these tacos and you can order each of them individually so if you just want a little snack you can order only 1 taco!

I actually got this for lunch at the food truck at the Science Center at Harvard. Two tacos alone are satisfying. Each tortilla is filled to the max with meat and toppings. It hit the spot with the lime. I love their salsas. Highly recommend! Try the tortas too. I don't have a picture, but the adovada one was great!

We came here on a Sunday night after our absolute favorite Taqueria was closed. We walked right in at about 630. It looked like it was a little chilly in there, but it was very inviting food wise. The staff was very nice, smiled attentively and let us place our order. It came up very quickly and we were sitting at a table by the window. The food was OK. I've actually had better tacos, but these were definitely a good second to our absolute favorite. The only thing I found? All of our tacos were room temperature or a little bit warmer at best. Nothing was hot hot. I like hot hot. But the flavor on each one was pretty good. I probably won't get the chicken won again. That was very basic. The carnitas and chiccharon ones were stellar. But we will definitely be back.

I could eat at Tenoch for breakfast lunch and dinner. It's a small taco spot with some of the most authentic tacos in the area. More of a grab and go spot, you order at the counter and get your food immediately. The carne asada tacos and campechano tacos are my absolute fav!

Amazing tacos!

I decided to come here after reading the reviews on Yelp. This was the best authentic Mexican restaurant I have been to in my 25+ years in Boston. I HIGHLY recommend it! I got two tacos- taco pollo and taco asada con queso. They were excellent!

10 out of 10 check them out... Hit up this place for a late night dinner on a visit to Boston. Extensive menu everything made it to order while you wait. We ordered tacos but lots of folks were coming in ordering tortas Both indoor and outdoor seating are available service was fast and friendly and looking forward to going back in exploring more menu options

These were TORTAlly delicious!!! Here are some absolutely loaded tortas from Tenoch that packed a punch! They all tasted so good that my friend and I went back the next day for another round! Lots of different options to go with and you cannot go wrong with any of them! What would you want in your torta?

We had a show at the Chevalier and wanted to have an early, pre-Valentine's day dinner before the…read moreshow. We are not that far from Medford and it took over 45 minutes to get there (traffic was crazy!) and we were running late. I called and they were super nice and said they could hold the table for 10 minutes (we were running 5 minutes behind our reservation) and not to stress out. When we got there, they were hopping! I am sure they get a lot of pre-show people because before I could even say we had to be out of there by 7, she asked if we were going to the show and assured us we would be out way before then. My hubby and decided to go the tapas route (which is basically the majority of their menu) and it was AWESOME! We started with the Queso Fundido. I am not a chirozo fan but the hubby is so I thought I would give it a try. It worked very well with the cheese and did not over power it. We moved on to the Cheviche Amarillo, Plantano Macho stuffed with beef, and Pollo Mole. All were perfect and just the right amount of food. I think my favorite was the Cheviche which was a white fish with sweet potato. The "sauce" was a citrusy topping and so light - did not detract from other flavors. Really all three were delicious. We also tried the flan because it looked so good coming out. Fair warning that I am not a flan person but it looked so yummy. Again, it was better than I have had but still not a fan - hubby on the other had devoured it with pleasure. It is a great location as well, and the space was very cheery, clean and despite being super busy we were not on top of each other - super worth the trip!

I got the margarita de la casa with salt, it was your classic margarita, but I liked it. Smaller size. For food, we started with the tamal with pork mole, which was really tasty, and fresh. Only one per order though, at $12 a piece. The size wasn't huge either. I then ordered the arroz del mar. It was creamy rice mixed with calamari, shrimp, and octopus. I was expecting more of a cream sauce but it was more like a watery broth, with a kick. It was spicy but tolerable. I liked the flavors but it didn't hit my craving. My boyfriend got the pollo con mole which he liked but I don't think he was crazy about it. I was still hungry so we ordered the plantano macho with beef. This stuffed plantain was good, I liked the cheese on it. But again, small size.. I will say I didn't know it was tapas style until we overheard the waitress tell another table. It makes sense in hindsight but we were quite hungry and this might have deterred us from coming. Portions were small even for tapas style. I saw a group and I'm not sure how they managed without ordering a surplus of food. I overheard them order at least 7 tacos...one per order... Strong flavors and fresh ingredients, I would say that. I think this is an elevated experience for food and it was a pleasant experience, but I wouldn't rush back because I don't think the portions were worth it even for tapas style.

FOOD: The chips and salsa were a great start! We loved it so much we asked for extra, and kept some salsa to put on our food. I got the shredded beef El Potro Chimichanga. There was a lot of beef and cheese inside, and the beef had a lot of flavor! It was not crunchy outside but I didn't mind since it was yummy. The business is sort of in a house? It was small and kind of dark inside. It was definitely an interesting experience,,, The appetizer was reallyyy good, I forgot the name though... The mole however, was not very good. The mole was liquidy and the chicken was dry. Overall, I think this place is more for fun busy nights where you just drink and apps. We started off with two drinks- a frozen mangonada and this passion fruit drink. They were both solid but I liked the mangonada better because the passion fruit cocktail had too much pulp in it! For food, we started off with chips and guac. This guac was some of the best I've had. It was super fresh and you could tell exactly what ingredients they used. We also their pork ribs! The ribs fell off the bone and I loved the warm sauce except it was a tiny bit dry. The sauce was reminiscent of an umami bbq sauce. We decided to try their zucchini dish, as recommended by the manager! I don't love zucchini usually but I liked it. It was roasted with cheese, sauces, and some shrimp. Very creative, Lastly we got the tuna ceviche of the day. I didn't really like this because it was really heavy on the dill. I think it would've been good without it. However the presentation was gorgeous and it came with plantains. Overall the vibes are superb here for a date, girls night, or whatever!!
