This was the first time I had gone to Taquito's. I usually stop into the Aguas Calientes on Blanco Road for my taco fix, but they were closed on Mondays, so I drove a little further towards Bergheim on 46 for my taco fix. My wife likes homemade corn tortillas and this place had them soft and warm, yum! We had the bean, cheese, and bacon x 2, the potato and egg, chicharron, and bean, egg, and cheese. They also had a variety of other choices that I will try next time I go, and there will definitely be a next time. The other reviews I saw for this place were from 2 years ago, so maybe something has changed in that time, there were 2 gentlemen working there. In summary, they were very friendly, food was delicious, and prices were great. They also have a great selection of aguas frescas available including pineapple flavor. read more

I stop here every morning I pass this way for work. Simply put they have the best chicken fajita mix I've ever had. It's the perfect mix of protein, and spice. It can vary on spice due to the jalapeño's at the time but at its peak it's sublime. Also very friendly service. It's a great way to start the day!!! read more

Worst breakfast taco I've ever had. I ordered bacon egg jalapeño and cheese. I think I might have seen one small piece of soggy bacon, the cheese was ice cold, which made the eggs cold, and tortilla was cold and store bought. Green salsa had no flavor. Threw it away after two bites. read more

Once this guy thought he wasn't gonna have enough on his card to pay and the lady that works there told him it was okay that he could come back another day and pay. A complete stranger. First time going & went inside to grab a to go order. I ordered soft chicken tacos & the man helping was really nice, but he had no mask on in site. I was like okay whatever, he might have a condition, but with covid on the rise it's worrisome. Then I asked if I could have some sour cream to which they didn't have any, okay whatever. I got my food & when I went back to work and opened the box, you can tell my beans were scrapped off the bottom of the pan with a bunch of burnt pieces mixed in. From being in the restaurant business, I could tell the beans were reheated from a previous day. The chicken in the soft tacos was questionable, didn't look quite right. Just really disappointed because I was hoping Taquito's would be my new go to Mexican place close by. I rather drive 10 more minutes to go somewhere else. read more

The Chicken Enchiladas were suspiciously hard like they were made yesterday and just reheated and smothered in sauce. The rice was meh and the refried beans were oddly watery. I knew better than to expect much from a tiny little place in a strip center out in the middle of nowhere. The tortillas were good though, tasted homemade. read more

Honestly the only reason why I ever went to this restaurant was because it was either this place or subway when I was working in Bulverde, the dude taking orders always had an attitude, like relax dude...he was always especially rude to a lady making tortillas in the back...and answered to any questions by customers with an attitude...definitely wouldn't recommend going if you have other choices read more

Went to Taquitos today after my grandsons baseball game. I had never been before but went at the suggestion of my son. We all had chicken fajita tacos. I was blown away. They are incredible. The meat was moist and spicy, tortillas fresh. They have a great list of lunch items but the thing that caught my eye was the breakfast tacos. Based on how good the tacos were today I am definitely coming back soon to try the breakfast tacos. Would definitely recommend to anyone driving through Berghiem. read more

We were coming from Houston to my parents house in Boerne and it was pouring rain and past my 6 month old's bedtime. This place was on the way and the pics looked decent. So I call and when the lady answers the phone "hello?" I say "yes, um is this taquitos Mexican restaurant?" "Yeah." "Ok, I'd like to place an order for pickup please?" Lady says "uuhhhhhhhh" and then silence. "Hello? You there? Can I give you my order?" "Uuuuuhhhhhh. Well. When are you coming?" I say "it looks like about 10-15 minutes according to my phone" "Uuhhhhhhhhm." Again, silence. At this point I'm feeling like even if she takes my order, she was obviously super inconvenienced by it and agitated. I just said never mind and hung up the phone. Came here for breakfast and the people were so rude we didn't even want to stay and eat inside, which the cashier made another rude comment about. This was my go-to lunch when I was working in Boerne. The freshly fried tortilla for the puffy tacos were scrumptious, but the ground beef in the tacos were lacking in seasoning. They ran out of ice and sweet tea, so I had no choice but to drink room temp unsweetened tea, which made the lunch all the more disappointing. read more

Variety of tacos for breakfast or anytime. What other taco place offers spicy cooked nopales on any taco I want? I like the nopales mixed with chicken fajita on a freshly made corn tortilla (upon request, worth the wait). Yes that's available for breakfast as well as the regular egg tacos you'd get anywhere. After passing this restaurant 3 days a week for the last 3 months, I suggested to my husband that we stop and order breakfast tacos. We are new to the state and area. We approached the counter and the woman came from the kitchen to the front. She never welcomed us or made any verbal comments. I asked her how big the tacos were. She either did not understand me or just ignored my question. We ordered 4 tacos. She literally threw the food into the tacos. She then packaged them, put them in a bag and gave them to the woman at the register while turning her back to us and exiting to the kitchen. No "thank you," "have a great day" or any other civil acknowledgement. I don't care how good the food is (it was not), i will never go into that restaurant again. Rude? First things first: Nearly all of the photos posted that aren't from the restaurant or Gil C. are NOT from Taquitos at 3351 and 46, someone's confused. I like Taquitos; this is a simple place where you order at a counter and they're pretty used to people coming and ordering straight out. I'd guess that over half of their business is carry out, most of it tacos from the line, not plates (prepared in the kitchen). A lot of that is regulars, construction crews and guys that walk in and know exactly what they want and don't wait for greetings and hellos. So I personally don't take it as rudeness when they just look to the next person because usually they're ready to order. Gabe is the main face in the store most of the time, he's quite friendly. Don't expect fancy dining and service, just some decent food at very reasonable prices. My family's favorites are the Al Pastor (usually a Saturday-only thing), chicharrones, chicken fajita, and barbacoa tacos, but they have a selection of plates as well and they don't have any problems with special requests. I've had a few of their aguas frescas and enjoyed them as well. It's great to have something out in this area since it's six miles to the closest gas station/store/restaurant for me.
